I love my daughter teacher, but i this school is very unprofessional. When accidents happen only thing you will receive is a voicemail, no letters, no email (they do have on file),no NOTHING! My number one concern is my child. i need to KNOW what is going on at ALL TIMES!!

I love this school. I have two daughters that attend Roosevelt, that are in 3rd and 1st grade. The communication between the school and parents are wonderful. They offer a phone call , email and text if there is anything we need to know. Some teachers use Class Dojo (look it up) which is a plus for me being that I have four younger children at home so I cant always talk on the phone or make it to parent /teacher meetings.Mrs. Shumway expects the best from her students and staff which is pleasing . I think its important to give kids expectations that are high and even in doing so this school gives struggling students (my third grader) a chance to explore options such a after school tutoring, B.U.G club, Lego club and More that will help them reach success.The office staff I love them. I dont ever feel disrespected, I know if I call or need anything changed or just any information they do what they need to get the job done . My girls love the fact that Kona Ice comes , its a mid week treat for them if theyve done good the first two days of school. I do think they could use more social groups at school because now a days kids go thru a lot more than we did as far as social changes and acceptance even this early BUT that is also something I know that if I spoke to Mrs. Shumway about shed be happy to help. Overall its an excellent school and I recommend it. So far we have had the pleasure of having Mrs. Layton (kindergarten), Mrs. LaMagdlene (first grade) Mrs. Meyers (second grade) and Mrs. Garrin (fourth grade). All wonderful teachers that Id give the two thumbs up for.I hope this helped a parent who is searching for a school or just looking for information.God bless 💘
