Hands down the best bjj training camp in the city. Why? Amazing location close by anything you need. The community and team members are extremely supportive, positive and also fun to learn with. The instructor is well knowledgeable, open to feedback and his coaching is excellent.Never have I felt more at ease and at home. I look forward to my classes every week, as I know it doesn’t matter how bad or good my skills are. Everyone here is respected and appreciated

I know people who put together this community for about three years. Their goal is to bring everyone together to share a collaborative and supportive environment welcoming anyone. An athlete-competitor and a person with a medical condition both would find this place to be a growing environment. For the last 6 years martial arts were unwinding me from my academic career (that used to occupy 100% of my mental space). Saturday is my favorite class.

As a newer member of this gym Ive been treated like family from everyone here. Very knowledgeable and experienced instructors for both beginners and people looking to compete. I really like how interactive classes are and how much attention instructors give to both low level and high level students. Most gyms are easily double the price of this place as well. They also let you try a few days to see if you like it. Would highly recommend going to Andrew Riverside BJJ if you are interested at all in learning BJJ.

The school is a great facility located in the welcoming environment of a neighborhood church and college housing complex. The instructors are well-trained, and the students are of diverse backgrounds and varying skill levels that suit all participants.

I got injured on the first class.One of the trainees locked my knee, and twisted it until my knee cracked. The instructor didnt even notice that my leg was locked, and how aggressive the person was. After my knee was injured no one came to check how I was. Ive been doing Jiu Jitsu for 3 years, and Ive never seen such a lack of professionalism in a gym. The gym wasnt willing to suspport me financially in order to heal my knee. i had to pay from my own pocket. I hope that my review will help trainees like me to know the spirit of this gym. In my first and last class with the gym, I learned that the owner doesnt care about his trainees but himself. He had to mention how great he is in competitions and that he encourged us about that as well. Now, Im not surprised that I got injured in a gym where competition is the key for success. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is about respecting your opponents. Thanks to Andrew Riverside, Im not coming back to BJJ ever again.
