This is the dojo for all people. If you have past experience in martial arts or you are just a beginner, East Lake Aikido integrates your experience while providing appropriate challenges too. Great for both kids and adults.

East Lake Aikido has opened my mind to the possibility that I can be strong! Galen is a thoughtful leader. The classes are full of joy and intentional hard work. The children’s classes are fun and focused. This dojo has found the magical sweet spot of youthful energy and spiritual focus.

My family started up with East Lake Aikido a month ago. The atmosphere that Galen and Hannah provide is warm yet focused. I appreciate getting to know the traditions of a Aikido while at the same time having fun with my my family. Im already seeing boosts in confidence for my son and I havent sweat this much in quite a long time.

I immediately joined East Lake Aikido when it opened. East Lake offers a space and community that is rich with dedication, support, patience, and rigour. Under Galens guidance the art is experienced and practiced in a holistic way, which is far more aligned with the founders wider vision of using this practice as a catalyst toward personal enlightenment.
