We love Bright Horizons at West 89th and their programs. The teachers and administrators are caring, professional, trustworthy and communicative. Our daughter has been going there for more than a year, and she has thrived and has grown so much. She loves it there and adores her teachers and friends. The center has a family business vibe that we didn’t see in other Bright Horizons in the city, and we are so happy we chose it. Everyone knows each other, and staff is super nice, professional, and personable; feels like a big family. Classes are street level with windows and there are playgrounds and Central Park where they take the kids. Highly recommended

I’ve been very happy with Bright Horizons on 89th. My daughter joined the infant room at 6 months and I was nervous about her being at a place that is part of such a large company. My concerns were misplaced. Everyone has been so warm and friendly and my daughter loves the teachers in her room and is so excited at drop off. The teachers have been fantastic and accessible, and are so warm and caring. They are great about having fun activities throughout the day for even the youngest kids. The director is always visible and is friendly and communicative. We’re very happy here!

We love Bright Horizons at W 89th! This center is the best of both worlds; it has the resources and structure of a large childcare provider with a small, neighborhood feel and longtime teachers/staff of a smaller facility. The teachers are universally wonderful and the administrators are responsive and welcoming. Our daughter is so happy to be in school with her friends and seems to learn something new every day. The proximity to Central Park for excursions is also a huge advantage. Cannot recommend this facility highly enough!

I highly recommend W89th Street. The admin team is flexible and friendly. I live near by and when I stopped to get information Abru was great. I dont believe there is a better education for Infants and Toddlers than Bright Horizons.

Bright Horizons West 89th has been our son’s second home for almost two years and we could not be more happy with the overall experience. The teachers and admin staff are very professional, warm and caring, the facilities are very well maintained and all the precautions during COVID allowed the center to remain open since last September. The communication is great with parents and they are constantly innovating to keep children motivated and engaged. The location is great, being close to Central Park is a huge plus for the kids. We highly recommend this center for daycare and preschool for UWS families.

We’ve been sending our daughter to Bright Horizons West 89th for the last few months and have been super impressed by their professionalism and care, especially at a time like this (COVID-19). It’s not easy making the decision to send your child off to daycare in the middle of a pandemic, so you really want a team you can trust. From regular parent calls to outstanding transparency to fun virtual activities with parents and kids, we have the utmost trust in the teachers and staff. We love how everyone knows our names when we drop off and pick up and remember everything about our daughter from one day to the next. Highly recommend Bright Horizons if you’re looking for child care. And I especially recommend this location based on the staff and size (relatively small) of the center.

We started our 3-year-old at Bright Horizons in September after his previous daycare (which he started at when 12-weeks-old) closed during the pandemic. We were nervous knowing that this would be a new school he had never been to and a school with never-before-seen procedures given the COVID-19 pandemic. During our enrollment period, the front office staff were patient with our questions and made recommendations on how best to help our son with this transition. Staff are incredibly transparent in a time when accessibility to the facility is limited to just staff and children by holding multiple Zoom meetings for parents to discuss curriculum and school procedures (they welcome, and encourage, parent feedback on how things are working and make tweaks accordingly). They also hold Zoom meetings that give parents a peek into the classroom to see the children sing, or do crafts (one particularly endearing one was when the children got to play with pumpkin seeds right out of the pumpkin). The schools curriculum is thoughtful and child-centered by setting up activities for the children to engage as they are comfortable. We are so grateful to have found Bright Horizons at West 89th Street and appreciate all the hard work of the staff and teachers!

Bright Horizons West 89th has been such a wonderful experience for my preschooler. The teachers and admin are warm and caring, the facility is clean, cozy and inviting and the communication with the parents is excellent - even during covid-19 times. The curriculum is focused on truly important skills - how to self regulate, cooperate with peers, follow instructions and show kindness. Also as it relates to kindergarten prep, the school uses Writing without Tears program which has been excellent. I highly recommend this facility for daycare and preschool for UWS families.
