The principal, derek premo, is the sweetest guy ever! Hes very supportive of the LGBTQ+ community, makes me feel safe (im bi)! His personality is really adorable and the teachers there are cool! Im a freshman, and the school has a chill vibe. :))

I graduated from LoMA in 2016 and I found my college experience to be easy, I graduated with my associated with a 3.8 gpa and ill be completing my bachelors soon. LoMA while I was there was a great school, there were several activities for students to do, the theater department was great, as well as the music, dance and art department. The drama majors got to do plays on Broadway and watch many plays. Many of my graduating classmates went to great colleges well prepared. I feel soo bad looking at the school and the type of students it attracts now because this was never a bad school. It was super rare to hear of a fight and even then it was an immediate transfer. The teachers worked hard and still do. I can only blame this new generation of complete imbeciles and the FIRING OF MR.WENK our beloved principal for making it such a terrible place. This school was a great opportunity for anyones child to get a great education, have fun and be ready for college and life.

This is a bad school since dr. Wenk (old principal) left the school and now theres barely any activities for us to do all the extracurricular actives are limited. I find it really hard to make friends especially in this school so you know u might feel a little lonely.

LoMA has changed for the better since the first day I stepped into the building 5 years ago. The one thing about LoMA which has stayed the same for the best is the Internship Program which all seniors have to do. This forces students to snap out of the bubble which they were put into by New York City Public School System of getting away with doing the bare minimum. The program forced me to wake up and smell the roses. LoMAs fantastic internship coordinators, Ms. Holly and Ms. Rothersbrug, were able to get me internship with A list companies such as UBS Financial Services where I was first introduced to learning about the basics of stocks, bonds, and finance skills which I was reintroduced to in my JUNIOR year of college.

Really bad school, fights break out all the time. This school needs metal detectors because boys have set the trash can on fire before, as well as someone brought a knife. So glad I left. The education isnt the best. Look elsewhere
