Ive been told by my friends at PPAS that the performing part of the program is great, but as for the academics... not so great. I hear from many people they go into college without being ready for the work. My application is due soon and I dont know if I should put it first because I want to go to college and be prepared well, someone help!

PPAS is a really good. The teachers are always willing to help any student who is falling behind in their work. Right now I am currently a freshman in the schhol. I made a lot friends. But all you got to do in the school is be yourself and do your work. The Vocal porgram is a really good. I am a Alto. The teacher are nice and really helpful. They also give lesson and they are very fair. I recommend this school to anyone. Also it doesnt matter if your famous kid or have money or have connection to get in the school. I am not a famous kid and I have no connection in the school but I still got in. All you have to have is talent and practice a lot. And you may just get in. Also we have a beautiful dance studio. I will be a Sophomore in September, I hope I see you once this quarantine thing is over with. Good luck!

This school is very diligent in safety, and the performing arts program is great. The library has a wide variety of books for middle school kids and older, which is well appreciated. The main goal of the school, empathy, is very well exercised.

I am currently a senior at PPAS. For me personally it’s a great environment with a lot of nice people always willing to lend a hand when needed and it is very easy for you to make friends. I would say that the school is very accepting, talented, and very supportive. We roll as a team and it’s small enough for students to actually be known by name. It’s a lot of hard work especially being in a school that is dedicated to the arts. I recommend incoming students to really figure out if performing is the right thing for them because PPAS is fully committed to making sure you have all the tools you need to shine on stage.

This is a really well gifted school. The atmosphere is very positive, the arts programs are very nice as well. The teachers are very informative and nice. I have a feeling that PPAS is just one of the best high schools in Manhatten. If youre entering high school or transferring, I would recommend this school 100%!

Snobby, cliquish, pretentious school that calls people in for auditions knowing they have no intention of offering a seat. Perhaps if you are well connected, a celebrities kid, or are a fellow pretentious, rich New York snob you may get in. Their claim to fame is Britney Spears attending? (Yeah, the no talent skank who slithers around a stage but cant carry a tune to save her life.) A JOKE. Dont bother auditioning.
