My favorite place! I took my classes in June 2021 and Bryan is probably the most wonderful instructor I have ever had! The practise area is amazing! The speakeasy bar / seminar room is great too.The curriculum is really vast and Bryan made sure that we are thorough with cocktail needed to be a good bartender. Bryan is fun and extremely knowledgeable.This is a great investment!

Just completed my bartender certification here. Had tons of fun! Would definitely recommend to anyone who’s interested in learning more about mixology. The instructor was hilarious and the bar setting was really cool!

Just finished the two week evening class for the Bartending/Mixology certification. You will be making 10 drinks in under 3-4 days. I was discouraged at first from the abundance of information received but I pulled through. My instructor/director Bryan is AMAZING!! FIVE STARS. Thanks, Bryan! :)

I attended one week course of NY bartending school.First day of class i was like a foreigner.I was struggling in class.i couldnt catch up with the pace of class.Day by day Mr.Brayan(instructor) orchestrated classroom discourse.He is a genuine teacher.His method of teaching is very practical and systematic.i enjoyed the ambience of classroom.it was one of the best experiences of my life!!

I was really nervous about going into bartending and yes I know that you don’t need a license to bartend in New York but I wanted one because I didn’t know anything and I wanted to be able to apply to Speakeasies. When I realized that’s what I wanted I decided to enroll into classes so I could formally learn the basics. I’m pretty sure I have a while to go before a speakeasy is going to let me bartend for them because I have no experience in an actual bar yet and I only went to school for the basics. However, coming to this school gave me the ability to apply to my first bars with confidence in myself. I’m not starting from scratch and owners/managers are going to love that. I know when I signed up I was worried it wouldn’t be worth the money because honestly I could have used the extra $500 but now that I’ve graduated I have no regrets. Going to this school is an investment in yourself because truthfully you’re going to make back up that money in no time.!Plus the place looks amazing, vibes are great, and Brian is just the best ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

I had such a great experience and not only was the class great but the staff was too. The classes are not too big, they do have limitations because of the pandemic which I think is safe and smart and regulations on wearing your mask. I was someone who had no experience in bartending and I chose the 2 week afternoon course. I was feeling very excited and confident on getting my certificate however after the first day I did feel a little discouraged only because we went through so much material and I didn’t know what anything was and what it looked like but that’s ok because it was only my first day. As the week went along they really broke down everything from the glassware, to a variety of drinks and how they are made and presented, to how you should keep your station and providing seminars about different key point. The school provides you with all the tools you need with an attachment to a real bar to practice in and it’s really hands on. Very friendly and encouraging environment. They provide other courses as well which I see myself attending soon and I hope you guys do too because this was an amazing experience.

Ive been working st Starbucks as a batista for over 3 years and figured being a bartender was the obvious next skill step. When I saw a friend of mine had recommended this bartending school, I rushed towards the opportunity. The staff and instructor were all incredibly friendly and helpful, answering any questions I had as well as providing excellent insight and knowledge into bartending, not merely how to read a recipe off of a page. Amazing experience with Michele & Bryan for an entry level bartending 40-hour course. Both are experts in any kind of liquor & wine & the right techniques that are not really known to a lot of bartenders. They really know their drinks, their ingredients & techniques and are patient & thorough to pass on their knowledge to you. I highly recommend this school for anyone who wants to enter the bartending world & wants to learn the rich history of different spirits, liqueurs, bitters & mixology. Plus, you will get your certificate at the end and as long as you try hard enough, you won’t get frustrated.

Signed up for this on a whim on a Friday evening and was in class on Monday morning. 5 days later and I have my certification! Best decision Ive made in a while. The atmosphere is extremely professional but they know how to have fun. The instructors are passionate about what they do and it really makes a difference during class. I love this school! I took a course 5 years ago and I went back for a refresher course. I took the 5-day intermediate course without any prior bartending experience. It blasted me from 0-100 real quick. The instructors push you at a comfortably fast pace and arm you with a world of knowledge.It’s been a special experience— I would definitely recommend to my friends. I thoroughly enjoyed my refresher course with Erica and Brian!They were the best! The school is well situated in midtown and the classrooms are fully stocked and really help you to feel like youre working. I’ve always wanted to become a bartender and my friend actually recommended this place to me. I saw how quick he got a job after graduating and asked him SO MANY QUESTIONS. He told me to come to the amazing free class they give so I came before paying anything. I fell in love with the environment. It felt like a real bar, dim lights , music. The instructors here are amazing! A few of them even speak Spanish which helped (for my friend). At first I was scared because I have horrible memorization but with practice and just having fun in class it all came naturally when it was time to take the speed test. I came to NY Bartending School with 0 knowledge of drinks — I didn’t even know what was in a margarita or a cosmopolitan!! After only 3 days Alex and Bryan taught me over 70 drinks and everything I needed to know about etiquette and I’m so happy to have taken the class. I received my bartender/mixologist certificate from The New York Bartending School back in Jan of 2011 but returned a few weeks ago to take a Refresher course. Aside from the course being completely free, I had one of the best instructors Ive had at the school. Alex was super friendly, fun, helpful and knowledgeable. He makes sure to make you feel at ease and continuously guides you each step of the way. It is beyond obvious that he truly cares for his students success. Not many instructors will answer your calls/messages in a timely manner nor would voluntarily help you with your resume ! Thank you Alex !

After taking this course for 2 weeks I was able to complete my test in just alittle under 6 min . At first it seems overwhelming having to learn and remember all the information that is given to you . However , with the help of Alex and Brian they were very clear with directions and patient with teaching. I really appreciated the fact that you can continue to come to the class after the week course is done , in order to sharpen yourself if you do not feel confident for the test the first week scheduled . Brian and Alex were a huge help and I would recommend this course to anyone looking to be a professional bartender in just a few weeks .

I had an amazing time learning at the NY Bartending School. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating, everyone was helpful which allowed for a judgement free environment. Despite the curricula lasting a week, or two weeks in other cases, you really do have all the time you need to hone your skills because you can come back every week to practice. Knowing that I didnt have the pressure to excel in just one week really allowed me to take my time memorizing drink recipes, getting to know the bar, and applying the tips my instructor taught to up my speed and really have fun with making drinks. The school also made sure to help with the resume process as well as giving helpful tips on how to secure a job. I feel very prepared to go out and work now.

This school has good customer service, the morning teacher is really professional. Very helpful, he is always making sure that everybody understands, is a very comfortable environment. Not a lot of people in one class so is easy to ask questions and at the end if you want to stay and practice you can.

Amazing course, 2 weeks and youre a complete natural behind the bar. The instructors will walk you through step by step what it takes to be a bartender and youll learn every drink and fundamental knowledge of what you are working with.

The classes exceeded my expectations in just about every way. Brian, the owner, Erika, and Omar were very thoughtful teachers, and they created a supportive environment to learn the panoply of skilsl necessary to be a bartender. The rest of the staff, Denise and Rafael, were equally as thoughtful. Brian will force you to be the best you can in efficiency and knowledge before you take the challenging speed test. I failed it the first time, then passed with less than 1-second on the clock! What a great experience applicable to my real job. You will build confidence and knowledge if you take this class, even if, as Brian says, the class cannot guarantee you a job. This class WILL challenge you either way!

It was such an amazing experience learning here, I was taught by another bad bartender before I came here. After 4 days of classes I gained so much knowledge about Bartending and drinks. Bryan is so funny and passionate, Alex explained everything very clear so I can remember many tricks.

New York Bartending school was definitely an experience, I had Peter as my teacher and he made sure I was tough enough before I can go out into the real world and be a bartender. I 1st walked into the school knowing nothing about drinks and now I know as much as a bartender of 10 yrs experience does. the classes looks like a real bar and classmates are fun and also helpful. I honestly think New York Bartending School is the Ivy League of Bartending schools.

Didnt think a week would be enough but thanks to Erika and Brian AND lots of repetition, I passed.The curriculum is quite solid for what it is. A good base of knowledge and understanding to build on, for any beginner.Their best attribute is the opportunity to continue learning and practicing so you master the skills needed to secure a job. Also, they are quite forgiving and will allow you to re-take the test.If you are considering a job in the industry, I do recommend them. In fact, I would hire someone graduating from this school.

Well worth the money. The mixology course comes with numerous tastings of the drink material they introduce you to, so you’re familiar with what they’re teaching. The cocktail test at the conclusion of the course makes sure that you don’t leave the school without being able to handle the high volume of NYC. You’ll make a group of new friends too along the way too. Definitely recommend.

I had a great time here learning about mixing and alcohols. My instructor Gio was great because he gave a lot of stories of his experiences. I had a wonderful, fun and informative week at NYbartending school and highly recommend it to who ever is interested.I had no knowledge of liquors or working at a bar what so ever and after a week of classes I feel like Ive gained a wealth of information which would of been very difficult to learn on my own.Now I am confident and excited to get out there and work as a bartender :)

Ive always said I wanted to be a bartender when I grow up, and guess what???.... I did! I will be welcoming 50 (yrs young) soon and what Ive come to realize in life, its never too late to follow your dreams, expand your horizon or get the expertise you need to complete a passion you have.I am beyond thrilled that I chose New York Bartending School to get my mixology certificate! I love creating new cocktails and with the knowledge I walked away with from Bryan and Alex I can now perfect my creative drink ideas. I would definitely recommend this school to everyone!!! The hands on learning makes it fun.....Kudos to New York Bartending School :)

Spent a week taking the drinks and preparation class. Mike, the instructor, was clear and entertaining as he worked us from slow easy drinks to breakneck complicated orders. Class is well paced and scaffolded to have you prepared for the rigorous exam in the end. I now feel prepared to step behind a real bar!

I just graduated, very well put together course, the instructors are top notch environment, recommendations to anyone looking for a start in the bar tending field...

Excellent and personal staff and training. Full mastery of the craft, and simple and clear instructions. Came in here knowing very little and came out with skills and comfort.
