ASA college overall is a great school with professors and staff members who genuinely care for students and want to see them flourish in their preference of careers, however the reason why I am giving this school 1 star is because there is one instructor in particular Denise Dubron in career development who I feel can potentially give this school a very bad name Professor Dubron needs to be more focused on preparing students for externship and job interviews instead of giving her very hurtful opinions over the physical appearance of how someone looks in front of an entire class which I might add is not only embarrassing but can potentially cause a student to harm themselves and also assuming that just because a person is a darker skin tone than her then they are automatically from a different country and could no way possibly be born in the United States everyone responds differently to things and there are people out there that are extremely self conscious and although instructor Denise Dubron obviously couldn’t care less who she offends ASA should train Professor Dubron on how to curve her mouth if she has nothing nice to say and teach her how to properly speak to students when she’s in a class if she really cares about her job.

The worst college I’ve ever studied as an international student because of the International Student Office, very unprofessional DSO-s(especially Heiry Quezada) who can lie, discriminate and even terminate your active status if you decide to transfer to another school!!! If you don’t wanna destroy your student life experience in the US and save your nerves, you know where not to go. With such an awful attitude apparently they gonna end up with no record to terminate soon!

Honestly speaking, this college is the only one that hasnt given me any hassle when it comes to the enrollment process. I got everything done within a day. The classes are small with a lot of individual attention if you ask for it. Really big on attendance because they care that you are getting the most for what you are paying for. While it is an accelerated college they have a learning center (which is free) to help you keep up. Like much in life, it is about sacrifice. You are giving your money to learn, its only natural you buckle down and learn, even it means not having much of a social life.In regards to the admins office. Everything went off without a hitch. They are professional and keep you to a time table. Giving that they see hundreds of people and genuinely care for you. Olga Feliciano is incredible. Tells you exactly how it is, what needs to be done and how to do it. She takes care of everything she can on her end, but the rest relies on you and how badly you want it. She has a certain quality that puts you at ease and inspires you to continue going.

Personally, I made right choice admitting Business Administration & Accounting major at ASA College. The two years experience as a foreign student made me confident and strong decision maker. ASA college was my first true step in America towards the big dream and self realization. I had a great externship experience in one of the big companies on Times Square. Thanks ASA for their collaboration in my job hunt as a graduate. Everything worked out great!More than that, I will remember my days as a college student. At ASA College I discovered Salsa club, where I was a regular participant. It was nice to distract myself from studies and work with an hour of dance! And everything is inside the college! The fact that the campus is located in the heart of Manhattan, makes it so easy to get there from any borough of NY. Me living in Brooklyn took no time to get there every day.Anyway, to whom who is looking for a place where to kick off from, ASA is the one!

To OWNER OF ASA COLLEGE,Today I called to speak with one of your international advisor(Manhattan Campus) regarding the transferring process. I asked one of your Korean advisor questions and all of her answer to me is ..MAYBE.. Then I asked her if she was 100% sure with her answer and I asked her name just to confirm that the person who I spoke with is real. Then what I got back from her was Why dont you tell me your name. Why you have to ask my name!!! Tell me your name!!!!! So the reason why I asked her name because my question is very important to the student status as one student should not have two SEVIS number at the same time. It’s very important that I have to get 100% confirmation if her answer is sure or not sure. I wish you as a OWNER OF ASA college will understand my point.I could not believe how rude she was to me. Do ASA keep their staff behaved ??At the end, she only told me she is Korean. She did not want to tell me her name. She is a very rude person that I can tell. However, the first person who I spoke with at the beginning before I got transferred to her was pretty polite and kind. I cant judge that all ASA staffs are rude. It is only her that is very unprofessional, rude and crude. Please let me know if you already train your staff to act a polite way without any attitudes when talking to your students/customers. Please let me know if ASA are welcome to any advices so that ASA can be a better college. Thank You !

My name is Manpreet Kaur. I started at ASA college back in February 2019 . I wanted to pursue my career in Nursing at this institute . However because of “pre requisites” I was told I have to take a couple of classes before I can apply for the Nursing program. My advisor put me in a “medical billing & coding program” until I was able to collect the courses I needed to apply. These included general anatomy, computer concepts , research methods, college math, and a couple other courses . I went to LaGuardia community college for a year before I came to ASA college . Almost all my courses I took in LAGCC were transferred to ASA college . This was extremely beneficial to me because I was able to save money and time . Besides pre reqs, I was also needed to pass the NLN exam. This test was pretty hard For me because of the high level of chemistry and critical thinking speed one need needs to posses, however not everything is impossible !!! After two tries I passed the nln with 129 . The accepted score is 110 or higher but 120 and higher is more better 👌🏼The medical billing and coding program I was put in was a 2 semester certificate program . In this program I have taken all my missing pre requisites and I passed all of them because the professors were extremely helpful and sincere to students :) I really enjoyed my time at ASA Manhattan Campus . I have finally gotten accepted into the Nursing program with the help of my advisor Agatha Castillo & also Mr. Robert Nazar . And I also completed the certificate program ! I start my nursing program in October 2019 and I look forward to pursuing my career as a healthcare caregiver 😁 ASA college is very good, hard work and determination is all a student needs to succeed !! Good luck to all :)

Stay away from this college and do not waste your money! ASA charges $7,500 per semester in computer science major and they do not cover all of the material, their system is soo outdated. They just take advantage from immigrant students, 99% applicants are immigrants. Go to City or State Colleges CUNY, SUNY where you pay less per semester and you get a better support from professors. Ive wasted 3 semesters at ASA. When I called to get my transcripts/credits that I earned, they just keep transferring you to a different department and when you actually ready that person, she never get back to you. And also, they do not offer a withdrawal from the course or so I was told, they will instead fail that semester than withdraw. I had a family emergency and I had to leave the country in the middle of the semester. What ASA offered me is to fail the semester. No student support whatsoever.

Not a recommended college, by the first semester you will find a lot of problems with this college already. First, the staff. I dont even know why they are there. Whenever you have a problem and you want you help and ask at a department inside the building, they will simply tell you to go to another department in room X. After I go to that room to wait for the line and ask for help, they do the same, simply tell me to go to room Y and talk with someone there. And the same thing goes inside the whole building, telling me to go another room and talk with someone there. After finally walking around all the offices, no one there can really help you. It is the same when you ask for directions about where X office is, they do not even know where the office is and tell you a random room number they think it is. There are even some staff who will yell at you. Second, college tuition. They increase the tuition fees without even telling you about it beforehand, you only know they increased them when u had to make the payment. And they do not increase it only by a few dollars, but almost 300 USD, which is crazy. Third, some teachers. Some teachers are like really lazy. All they do is sit around and read the book for you. If they are going to sit there and read the book for you most of the time, then are they even there, we can read the book by ourselves. Some of them just turn on the screen projector for you to see the book. They barely use the board anymore.

Its perfect for short-term study abroad. If anything, the lecture is not fun, and if you do not have a certain level of English, you will be left immediately.I took a class-level exam on the day of entrance (choice of choice). I think that if you only study English for the exam, you often can write but can not listen, so it was difficult to follow the lecture even if you could take the exam. There was no teacher who was fluent in Japanese. The Asian student was in charge of a Korean teacher. It was kind and kind.Times Square was very close and convenience was good.thank you for helping me~.(2019)

This place is for everyone! Great teachers who graduate from good universities. I chose where to study for a long time. But it is the best in price and quality. I had to move to another state. And they returned me my payment without any problems

The correspondence of this school is very terrible. Counselors, advisors, responsible for organizing the schedule, the receptionist, the responsibilities of all the schools are bad attitudes, bad words, motivated, we are not thinking at all for the students. Even if you ask a counselor, there is no reply, no phone, no matter how bother going to school to go to school, the words are bad, the language is coldly decorated, the attitude is the worst. The explanation is also inadequate, there are lots of things that have not been notified and it is very troubling. Not only me but other people say the same way. Although paying administrative expenses, wifi is not connected, the classroom is cold, the toilet is dirty, it is a school that I do not recommend at all.

I had the worst experience. If you choose this university you will get nothing but regrets. REGRETS that they repeat. I didnt know that a university like this also exists. If you mistakenly sign up, you will know why I wrote this. Thank you

I am NOT RECOMMENDING IT as far as I am concerned .... it is one out of love, they steal the money, the teachers do not help at all, sometimes they speak badly to you, and they do not care about anything, if it is to study a career, I DONT ADVISE YOU and a lot less Study English ... because if you start from scratch, you will not understand anything, it starts at a very high level. also there is no good training, at first everything is a Love, and when he wants to go out, they want to keep you bound or else he threatens you that he has to pay everything. please do not fall for this, as it happened to me, THINK A THOUSAND TIMES BEFORE ENTERING THIS UNI.
