I really want to give them 10 stars, ATNY has been the most incredible experience for my daughter. She did a virtual production this past spring which was clearly the best virtual program she has ever done but actually gave her the connection and bonding to the other kids that she had only gotten from in person productions before. Todd & Cat were amazing and the end of the show (after an extra weekend they added in!) we couldnt bear to not be involved with ATNY so flew out from Seattle to do the two week Broadway camp intensive Mean Girls in July. And we were not alone., two other kids did the same from other places! It worth every effort and dime it took to pull it off, she learned so much and gained so much confidence in those two weeks it was incredible. And, made so many friends that she will stay in touch with for a long, long time. ATNY is not just an amazing and professional group, they truly love to support kids love of performing and help them gain the confidence and skill to develop to become professional performers. Now to figure out what her next ATNY engagement will be!

ATNY has been a great resource for artistic development and experience for our 10 year-old daughter. She says the classes are amazing, with memorable and fun acting techniques. During the pandemic, we looked for quality virtual classes everywhere and are so grateful for ATNY who offers exceptional virtual classes with amazing diverse teachers and students!

We felt so fortunate to find ATNY in 2019 when my son had the amazing opportunity to perform in Matilda with incredibly talented kids led by rock star director, Carl Anthony Tramon (aka CAT). It was a moment that we did not think could be topped but then, ATNY stepped up their game when the pandemic hit. While other theater programs brought classes online, we have not heard of any that brought musical theater to our virtual world the way ATNY has. CAT started with Home School of Rock last spring at the height of the lockdown, did Wonka week over the summer and just wrapped up a terrific production of Newsies.Friends who watched Newsies said We were so impressed by the overall production quality of the show. All of the performers need to be commended. It can’t be easy acting remotely without the energy of a live audience, but they rose to the occasion. All those hours of line memorization and rehearsal hours, wow!I truly dont know how we could have gotten through the past year without ATNY. For us, the musicals have been the star but we can also highly recommend the classes. All of the staff are terrific. And the biggest thanks goes to Todd Edelson, the owner of ATNY, for finding a way to keep his kids engaged and moving forward while the world has been on hold.

The people at Actor’s Technique New York are so kind and knowledgeable. My child has been able to do workshops online and really enjoys it! You can really tell that Todd loves what he does! He is always kind and quick to respond to emails!!

My daughter and I absolutely LOVE ATNY. All the teachers are great and truly care about each child. My daughter has learned so much and has gotten representation. My daughter has attended ATNY classes and camps consistently for the past year. She loves all the teachers and has not only learned acting fundamentals, but is overall more confident and speaks more clearly when presenting. I highly recommend Actors Technique NY because of their outstanding professional acting coaches who believe and truly care for the kids. My daughter has been attending classes for over three years and the coaches have been a good professional and personal role model for her. ATNY is well connected with talent agents and active in the industry. They believed in my daughter when other acting coaches did not. As a result, she has been in commercials and this weekend I am attending my daughter’s movie premiere with Christopher Lloyd.

ATNY has been a great place for Jasper to learn acting, musical theater, hip hop and so much more. He has made lifelong friendships through the program, and Todd’s coaching sessions have led to callbacks and bookings!

Great acting school! My child has attended ATNY sporadically the past few years, enjoys the classes and, has learned fundamental acting skills. They are very connected within the industry. However, giving 3 stars because I feel African American students are often over-looked and disregarded by ATNY staff and guests. It’s 2019, let’s do better!

Our son has been taking classes at Actors Technique NY for six years. We knew he was learning there but never realized how much until more recently. Hes almost eleven and hes really applying what hes learned there to all parts of his life, not just for auditions or roles. Hes applied his ATNY skills to punching up the morning announcements in school. He is one of the few of his friends who knows how to speak properly to adults, to elaborate on his responses to be conversational, and to look people in the eye.I just wanted to point out more than the obvious. Hes definitely learned the tools to make him stand out in an audition, to emote on camera, the differences/nuances in acting between doing stage and film, etc. But we look at the investment in ATNY as MORE than just taking him to the next level for getting acting parts but for life skills. Hes learning how to interview, how to sell himself, and how to come across as poised and mature. As a fifth grade boy, that can be quite difficult for many. But because hes been in the classes at ATNY for so long, all these things that seem hard for other kids his age are more like second nature to him.The most important thing to note is the commitment from the staff to the kids. They really care that the kids do well. Not just as bragging rights for them as teachers, but because they genuinely get to know and love these kids. They go above and beyond in how they help the kids further their careers. If it wasnt for ATNY our son wouldnt have gotten an agent or manager. ATNY brings the industry to the kids instead of having you have to chase them on your own. You also know youre dealing with legit managers and agents- not people who are going to try to steal your money. We will be forever grateful to ATNY for helping our son become a better actor and a more well rounded person.

Having been referred to ATNY by a friend our daughter (age 12) signed up for a workshop last spring. The experience was so fantastic that she is now commuting from CT weekly to take advantage of ATNYs workshops, classes, and rehearsals for Matilda. Alexandra is receiving world-class coaching and is surrounded by other ATNY students who are exceptionally talented.Our daughter has been fortunate, and the skills she has developed through ATNYs programs led to her being picked up by a talent agency. Beyond opening the doors to incredible professional connections, our daughter is thrilled that she has also been able to make life long friends with her instructors and fellow ATNY cast and classmates.

Watching my daughter grow and thrive as a young performer has been amazing. We started in tots and stayed with ATNY into pre teens. The classes are fun and comprehensive and the instructors are so knowledgeable and caring. I cant recommend Actors Technique NY enough!!

My son has been taking classes with Actors Technique NY since he was four years old and hes now nine and a half years old. I live in NJ and have been driving him to NYC for class all these years because its worth it. Ive done my research and theres nothing comparable. Not only has he grown leaps and bounds for industry purposes, but more importantly, for life skills. I attribute his ability to be extremely conversational, give quick answers, look adults (and other children) in the eye when speaking and just be comfortable in any situation thrown at him, to taking classes at ATNY.He started taking numerous semesters of an hour long Tots improvisation class and now takes an on-camera class, commercial auditioning, and improvisation class from 11-3 and he loves going. He doesnt mind making sacrifices like missing birthday parties, sporting events and time with friends, to be in class.The teachers really care about each and every student. Todd, the owner, knows EVERYONE in the industry, and brings the agents and managers to the kids. So, part of what you get for your money is connections that would be very difficult to make on your own. Instead of trying to get appointments with different agents and managers separately, they all come to see the kids at the showcases at the close of every semester. There are also special workshops outside of class time where he brings agents, managers, and casting professionals in to meet with kids and adults. Todd and his staff all work really hard to have your kids seen and get signed with the right people.You can tell its not just about the money. This is a very difficult industry to navigate as a parent. Its hard to trust people and you never know who has an ulterior motive or just trying to shake you down. At ATNY, theyre not just trying to line their pockets. They do whatever they can to help your child grow and succeed in the very competitive business. Even if my son never works regularly, because its such a competitive industry, hes gained so much in personal life skill.

Actors Technique has been the foundation for my sons acting success . He has done any commercials,voice overs and a film. The private coaching is outstanding.

Both children are in the industry. We recently fell upon this amazing program that Todd and his staff run on the weekends. It is a 9 week program working on refining on camera/film/tv skills. ATNY really has helped my children be more confident in front of the camera. We also started using ATNY for self tapes. It really has changed the game for us when it comes to auditions. David really knows how to get the children in character, what they need to be doing, and how to knock it out of the park. Thank you guys for being the best at what you do!

Thrilled we found ATNY! Hands down the best school in NY. Todd, David and Alex are incredible with the kids. They can’t get enough of this place. I had 2 children enrolled in the last 9 week program and in just that short period of time they have gained soo much confidence. The variety of classes they offer are 2nd to none and I can’t say it enough, ATNY IS THE BEST!

I would HIGHLY recommend ATNY. My son just finished his first 9 week of acting classes with ATNY. He benefited so much from the full day of classes he attended. He gained an abundance of skills, confidence, and technique! Luke absolutely loved all of the talented coaches Todd, Lara, David, and Alex. They are all amazing with the children. Lukes info was requested by a casting director after our first Casting Director showcase at ATNY!! We can not wait to start another 9 weeks of classes.
