Italiano Italia is the best Italian school in New York. Patrizia is a wonderful teacher who makes learning the language enriching and fun! Her team is equally awesome. Best decision I ever made!

I would like to start out by saying that I highly recommend Italiano italia school and Patrizia. I’ve wanted to learn for a while and I experimented with other methods, but was unable to get the basics down and or to have a conversation. I can report that in just over a year I feel like I’m on my way to not only understanding but feeling more confident in speaking.

Small classes, flexible structure to class depending on what you want to focus on. I love the selected readings. Theyre challenging but provide great fodder for discussion in class. As an added bonus, the readings provide thoughtful commentary on life that I dont normally encounter in English readings. After studying abroad in Bologna, the Italiano Italia Language School has been a great way to keep the Italian in me alive. I cant wait to return to Italy in part because of the classes.Patrizia and Antonella have been wonderful teachers, and I highly recommend the classes to anyone at any level.

Patrizia’s attention to her students and her enthusiasm in imparting the beauty of her native language to them is the spark that makes Italiano Italia a truly personalized learning experience. Her limitless energy is infectious; classes are always quite lively. In addition, the opportunity to live the language through Roma Romana was a real thrill. Patrizia chose excellent local guides to reveal historic aspects of the city tourists don’t usually see so that throughout these walking tours, we were hearing - and speaking - Italian. Meals taken together featured small, neighborhood restaurants bringing us into contact with everyday Roman life. Once is definitely not enough and I look forward to another trip next year with Italiano Italia.

I started learning Italian with Patrizia here this winter and I couldnt be more glad that I made this decision. I love languages; Ive been learning different ones since I was very young and I dont remember ever having enjoyed the learning as much as I do with Patrizia. The classes are small (which I absolutely love) and she customizes them according to our progress, where more work is needed, etc. and I really appreciate that its not a cookie-cutter approach. Plus, there is a lot of conversation in Italian which means were not just learning grammar, vocabulary but also how to put it all together, at the same time. And, to top it all, in addition to being a fantastic instructor/teacher Patrizia is a truly wonderful person, good-natured, kind-hearted. Shes friendly, patient, funny, and she really keeps the classes interesting and lively. She encourages us to ask questions and ensures that we are left confident and without doubts. I think its a great learning environment. (Plus, Im learning more and more about authentic Italian culture, including the food...so I think Im going to be well-prepared for my next stint in Italy.) I honestly believe this is quite likely the best place for learning Italian in NYC.

Italiano Italia offers a wonderful environment for acquiring and perfecting a command of the language, from beginner to advanced levels. I started about three years ago with zero background in Italian and now can hold my own in conversations about diverse topics as well as enjoy read Italian authors in their original language. Patrizia and her other instructors are rigorous in teaching grammar and usage, and yet encourage lively conversations with participation from every student, since the classes are small and the environment relaxed.

This is an excellent place to study a language. The classes are a combination of grammar, reading, and conversation, and it works! I began studying with Patrizia in September 2017, after studying Italian only on Duolingo, and now Im in a class where were reading real short stories written by and for Italian people. The class is entirely in Italian, the conversation is interesting, and the people who come are great to study with. Its a high point of my week.

Out of the 3 NYC Italian schools I tried, Italiano Italia was the one that gave me the best results. I chose the conversational level, checked my inhibitions at the door, and we dove right in. Patrizias articulation is amazingly easy to understand, and her vibrant personality makes the class entertaining. Patrizia demonstrates a love for the Italian language and culture that is infectious. She will happily explain any detail. Her assignments were clear and thorough, and the discussions we held afterward reinforced everything we learned.

Have been studying Italian, together with my daughter, under the instruction of Patrizia Bigotti of Italiano Italia Language School and we both love it. She is passionate about her native language and teaches in a way that makes her students just as passionate about learning it. Have always desired to learn to speak Italian and Patrizia is making that dream come true for both us. She is a wonderful teacher and a genuinely nice person. We both eagerly look forward to our weekly lesson and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone wishing to learn Italian or further their Italian language skills.

Patrizia is an excellent teacher, and a warm, friendly person. Her classes are quite small, the lessons are varied and well organized, and each lesson is taught with focus and enthusiasm. Equally important, Patrizia gets you speaking the language, which is the key to making steady progress, from the very start in a comfortable, supportive environment. If you are serious about learning or improving your Italian, you should come here.

Exactly what I was looking for! I had a little Italian grammar in High School but needed after many years to actually learn how to put it all together to speak. Patrizia is fantastic. I feel like I have learned so much in only 6 weeks. Great personality, great vibe, excellent teacher that is able to convey how the language works. I am a student with her through Skype since I live far away and it is best fitting in my schedule for now. It works well because I can learn no matter where I am at the moment. I will continue my lessons as long as I am able and hope to one day take a class at the school.
