Im here today for a visit with my Endocrinologist. This location is 1305 York Avenue for Weill Cornell Medicine. Masks are still required when you are in this building and they still follow social distancing guidelines. My doctor Dr. Melissa Katz is my Endocrinologist. She is knowledgeable, kind and patient. When you have an appointment your wait time is always minimal. My visits here are enjoyable! The exam rooms are very clean and the med techs in the lab, Ruth & Antonia, work quickly and efficiently. And when you check in and check out, Leonela, always greets you with a smile.

Attempting to get a hold of anyone in this hospital is a circus. I have a nephew in the PICU, and his mother who is my sister had a medical emergency at the same time and was in the emergency room. I was hung up on while giving the emergency department my phone number and name to receive a call back from the attending physician in regards to my sister. I called a second time and let them know I believe the call dropped and was hung up on again. When calling in regards to my nephew had my called transferred twice, the final transfer apparently being to an out of state service center ( I honestly have no idea where they transferred me to ) to a woman that was incredibly disrespectful. I don’t understand the need to make a simple situation so difficult. I work in healthcare I am very aware information isn’t given over the phone. But to blatantly disregarded and then spoken to so rudely is quite a shock considering this is Weill Cornell. Beside staff is usually wonderful, I’m unsure of what’s going tonight or who the joke is on but this is unacceptable.

Dr. Ryan Bell is the best physician I ever met with. He takes his time. He asks general life questions as well as medical questions. He takes copious notes so that he remembers everything in subsequent visits. I highly recommend Dr. Bell.

Its the best hospital for eye care these past 5 years and Dr. C. is undoubtedly number one in their books, she is caring, compassionate, sweet, and she follows up throughout the journey, cannot imagine anyone filling her shoes, it takes a village and Dr. C is it! LuvU 🤓😇

I had a Mri done and the Tech Joseph and his assistant Annemarie were very supportive. I started to have anxiety and they were able to calm me down to do the whole procedure. Great bed side manners.

This is a very delayed review, however I feel compelled to write it. Three years ago after many years of delay, I had my gallbladder removed. It was my first major surgery and I was definitely nervous. Weil Cornell made the whole process very smooth and talked me through the entire process. I had a surgery scheduled within a week of my first visit and just like that my chronic pain was gone. I would definitely recommend going to Weil Cornell for your procedure if it is an option for you. The facilities were very clean and organized.

Horrible experience. Its all about money, money, money.Dont trust them. They only care about your money, and they have design all sort of unnecessary visits to make sure they can capture extra money from you.

Over 20 mins of wait time just to talk to someone and then transferred what day and age are these guys operating on?

The place I get my healthcare

Call center people are not properly trained. They scheduled me with the wrong doctor even though I said the doctors name many times and they also received a referral letter from my family doc. The communication within their system is a mess. They claimed they never received my medical records and didnt know what to do after they wasted my time with the wrong appointment. I asked my doc to send in the records to the fax # they gave me so I dont know what went wrong. When I updated my insurance information over the phone, they told me they would update in the system. Then when I showed up, it was still the wrong info in the system. The front desk had to enter everything all over again. I was scheduled an appointment at 8am, and when I showed up, I was told door opens at 830. The call center people just give the wrong information. Its been a very confusing and time wasting experience.Edit: came back here again. Other than the medical staff, people who work here are rude.

The only thing I can say about Weill cornell Presbyterian hospital is the worst, the service is bad, my dad had a broken neck and it got worse after 2 nurses hurt him for not being careful with him, they are always with attitude. If you want to feel better go to other hospital or stay home.

I had a spinal laminectomy and infusion done and the experience was out of this world.The entire process from intake, surgery, and discharge was on point. Everyone was on the right page and courteous. The entire staff took assiduous care of me and were very respectful. Everyone from house keeping, kitchen staff, transporter, administrators, physicians, physicians assistants, nurses, and nurses assistants, acknowledge my presence and would often inquire of my condition and my well being. I highly recommend this facility for anyone in need of surgery and healthcare. Thank you from room 1509A 2/2/2017 - 2/3/2017.

I had one year of treatment, an emergency room visit and major surgery. My whole experience was nothing but professional, caring, expert and completely reassuring that I was in excellent hands. I NEVER GIVE 5 STARS. Im a typical critical NYer! This is a rare exception. So Ill offer one piece of criticism. Not one great enough to lose a star. My 2 month Pre surgery prep was a little rushed. Busy Docs. I get it. But when I asked them to slow down and reexplain or asked for more detail they did so patiently and without any attitude. God on them.

I went in for an emergency visit today, as I was unable to get an appointment with an orthopedic doctor due to the holidays. So I had been having back pain for just under a week and the pain worsened since yesterday. I went to the ER where NOTHING was done and I was told if I could talk and walk it was not considered an emergency. I was asked a few questions about the pain I was having and without any testing, excuse me a Urine Analysis, I was told it was muscle spasms. I was offered something for the pain which I rejected, I dont know what pain I am masking. That was the worst ER visit I have ever encountered. I know that it was busy, but I felt as though the attendant, was not about to admit another person or do any further testing, he was determined to make room. I dont use the ER as my doctors office. I was in pain and couldnt get a doctor so I went to the BEST...I also heard a conversation with him ad my ER neighbor, where his sugar was 358, and this same doctor told him to drink lots of water and that would make his sugar come down. I was never so disgusted with our healthcare as I am now..as I sit here in pain and type!

I came for an orthopedic/pediatric check up on a broken toe that was in a cast. They took an x-ray and offered to switch the heavy cast with a plastic fix - which made life much easier!

My wife visited them with for 3 times she had a bump above her eye just below the eyebrow and they ask for CAT scan later changed to MRI on one of the visit. They didnt wanted to tell us how much will be the bill itself and weather is required mandatory. At the and we did the MRI after waiting two weeks get a pre approval from our insurance. After MRI they didnt wanted to any action on it although they said there were no risk to operate and take it out.They recommended to let it go by itself. Later that month she traveled to her country and bump above her eye got inflated. She went to hospital in Taiwan and they operated and take out the tissue causing the problem.I have concern that doctors on Weill cornells they very irresponsible and wasnt answering her questions properly and impossible to talk to them over phone to get a proper explanation. Even doctor first order cat scan later changed to MRI, we got to learn by ourself after doing quick research apparently CAT scan for hard tissues like bone etc but MRI for soft tissues. They ask for wrong thing at first when insurance talk to them they changed it.I feel they just ask anything to stretch process and make the most money out of it. When i called them today they said this is your deductible you have to pay for it call you insurance.If you thinking to visit them good luck I wanted to share my experience with you.

Worst hospital. And nurses. Especially Betty han rn. She took lunch at the same time my pain meds were to be given to me. I called patient services and Betty called security on me where they physically put my neck in a choke hole. I am 67 lost 40 lbs and was in bed when 4 commando security entered. I had 2 back surgeries I showed them told the one with black frame glasses my neck vertebraes are very close to my spinal cord and he put me in a choke hold. Then han called psych and I was put on divide watch. The aide watching me said after an hour. Your not sucidial. The exam given to me was do you know why you are here. I stated yes I have UTI.that ans was used to put me on divide watch. Before I left I guess the attendPlus. Asked me was did that female inter. As you I told him. He said Im not sucidial. I was in bed watching TV. Im disabled.betty han is a danger to patients and her license an revoked and she should be fired.

The Emergency room sucks I wont be back I thought since its in Manhattan that it would be better not the case at all. I will always go to my same old ER.

I was taken right away, I had leg truma, right below the knee. X-rays were so painful adrenaline ran out. After seeing the X-rays they knew it was a very serious injury. They said I likely have conpartment syndrome. And they will be doing emergency surgery soon. They did a fasiotomy and a blood pump was put on for over a week. My complaint isnt with the surgical team, just pain management and some of the nursing staff. First I like to say when I heard I was going to a trama center, I was really scared. Then I here its Presbyterian Cornell so Im thinking, I will be with the most professional people in the world.After being there a couple a days it wasnt what I expected. I was treated poorly by a lot of nurses and aids. I did have 3 really great RN NURSES that brought me back to life while they were on shift. One of the worst things being there is they didnt give me enough pain relief and i never taken or been a drugs ever. So its not like I was tolerant to it.I was very happy to be discharge. The bad always ruin it for the good sorry. To the good ones who helped at 8 central, THANK YOU SO MUCH....PS Im still in so mush pain.

After 3 years with my mother hospitalized and pumped with antibiotics no one was able to figure out her legs condition. We went to so many doctors and she was seen at the hospital by top doctors and was a Shame no one was able to cure her condition. We went to Dr. Jorizzo and he hardly looked at my moms legs and immediately diagnosed her. My mothers leg condition is gone!!!!!! We just needed an extremity machine when every doctor including the top at Cornel pumped her with antibiotics for nothing!!

Dr Ahmed is my hero.. living not just laying around. Thankyou!
