I took the Phlebotomy Technician class at the Manhattan location and my experience was superb! Mr. Santiago is one of the best teachers Ive ever had. Hes charismatic, funny, entertaining, and genuinely good at his job. He doesnt make you feel bad about the things you dont know, and will do all he can to make you succeed. I felt comfortable in the class and he definitely made it a fantastic learning environment. Im a current college student, and if all my teachers were like him, Id be getting As in every class. If i could take the class again, I 100% would!

Took CNA classes at the Manhattan location with Ms. Nurse Nina. Ms. Nina is the absolute best she not only prepared me to be a CNA, her wisdom, education and experience has helped me in nursing school. I went through the program back in September of 2020 and due to the pandemic was not able to complete the externship until June of this year. The programed prepared me extremely well to take the written exam which I got a 98% on and the clinical both of which I passed on the first try. I suggest you choose this program if your looking to become a CNA.

I’m currently taking a CNA course that I can not wait to be done with.If you have social anxiety this is not the place to take a course.The instructor has you perform every single task in front of the entire class after showing you each step ONCE no matter how difficult it is.This school is extremely low on equipment so often times you will be pretending that your classmate is your patient.My first day starting the course I was unvaccinated (which is not a requirement) , the instructor asked the class who was unvaccinated and I told the truth.Being that I was the only one , She then told the entire class to “keep me in their prayers”.Causing me to feel extremely uncomfortable so prepare for weird moments like that to occur.This course is extremely state test driven.Asking realistic questions about scenarios that may occur in real life is pointless.The instructor will tell you not to worry about it because it won’t be on the exam.Imagine paying almost $2000 for a course, for your questions to be dismissed because that question won’t be on an exam.

I recently took a CNA course with Nurse Nina Justiniano, The course was enlightening not only that she shares her amazing journey on how she became a nurse. I definitely will recommend her to anyone who decides to take the course. While she was teaching the course she wanted us to know the theory behind everything not just reading the textbook. There were some laughs but most importantly she teaches us everything we need to know about the nursing field, her journey on becoming a nurse was worth it and she get to show us what she learn.i will definitely miss her.

I had Mr. Santiago for the EKG technician course. He was very knowledgeable about the material and about the certification. He moved through the material at a good pace, and he answered our questions along the way. Youd be smart to take this course here. I heard he also teaches phlebotomy.

Taking the CNA course with Professor Nina has to be one of the best decisions I made in my life. Not only has the class environment been intellectually stimulating, but the instructor has proven her professionalism by teaching us more than what is on the text book. Professor Russell is the best CNA Professor ! I took the class in the mornings , and was always excited to attended class. I was nervous the first couple days but the atmosphere she created in the class made me so comfortable . Not only did I learn so much about the practice of medicine , I also learned so many things from her stories as a Nurse . The hands on skills were easy to learn because she would throughly explain them and demonstrate it for all the students to learn . I recently took my CNA class with Prof. Nina Justiniano. I was nervous and overwhelmed the first day, but Prof. Justiniano made it very interesting. Shes straightforward and very clear on her lectures. I admire her stories about the world of nursing, through her nursing school journey to her work experiences. I like how she wants us to know the theory behind on what were going to do (procedures)/ skills. She motivates us and Im glad that I took her class.

I just took networking with Richard Batka. He was a great instructor! He is very knowledgeable and provided a wealth of information. I cannot express how great of an instructor he was overall. He answered your questions and went over anything you were having a hard time understanding! I would recommend his style of teaching to those that are just starting.

I had this program back in March but due to family issues I had to stop and continue back in august I prayed I had mr Santiago again and I did that man is so thorough and makes sure you have all the information you need and more he really wants you to pass 10/10 for me .

The school failed my entire class, even if they wont admit it. We got 5 venipuntures in the 3 weeks of their phlebotomy class. Constantly told Id get hands on, but inevitably did not get to because of poor time management. Do not be fooled with the price tag. Its cheap for a reason. None of my venipunctures were documented so I have no proof for my national exam, which also requires a certificate from an institute accredited by the NAACLS and/or AMT. I gather that many of these schools are just to make money; less about fostering the abilities of budding medical professionals. The front desk is RUDE and they also emailed someone elses receipt (which included personal information) to me, which goes to note the incompetence (if they could mess that up, what else could they possibly mess up?).

I had a great experience at this school. I took the Phlebotomy course with Mr. Santiago and I learned so much in the past 3 weeks. The class is fast paced but it’s definitely worth it! Mr. Santiago is a great teacher, he always welcomed questions and clarified everything to a tee.

Im not going to lie, at first looking up the school it looks sketchy but I can tell you that these people are not only legit, but train very well. I took the phlebotomy course with Mr. Santiago and he was one of the coolest teachers I ever had. Realistic and to the point. They are also a testing center so that is a plus.

The school is challenging but fair, the staff actually cares about your success in and out of the classroom. Not only does TIA offer the cheapest CNA program but also the most thorough. I was fortunate enough to have Ms.Clarke a seasoned nurse that goes above and beyond for her students. She not only prepares you for the promed, she gives you the tools that you would need in the real world. I highly recommend the school from the front desk to the classroom youll be taken care of. If youre reading any negative review Im sure it has to do with the bitterness of not passing, noone owes you a damn thing and you have to work for what you want as long as you do your part the school, the staff and the teachers will do theirs. I took the phlebotomy class October 19 -November 9 from 10 AM to 6 PM Saturday and Sunday with Mrs. Danielle. She is the best instructor hands down! not only is she very knowledgeable, but she was respectful ,professional show a great deal of kindness. I would recommend that anyone who wishes to take the phlebotomy class at TIA take it with Mrs. Danielle. I am absolutely grateful for her and the experience that I had in her class. I had previously had a very bad experience with a different instructor at this school (Manhattan). So of course I wasn’t very open minded going into her class, but with in the first hour of the first day. I was excited about my future again. I wish the class was a little longer. So I could have soaked up more of her knowledge.

I took Nurse Ninas class and passed the CNA license exam fairly easily. She showed us easy ways to complete each skill and also taught us things that were not on the state test.

Took my CNA course with Dr.Lowe from May-June. Took my CNA test Late September and passed both parts on the first try! All I did to prepare was go over my notes and textbook from the course. And I now have a job in a nursing home! Dr.Lowe made learning very easy by relating what we learn into real life situations. Enjoyed my class very much and my overall experience with TIA. The receptionist and the directors were always very nice never had any issues with them. It’s also very reasonably priced! I recommend TIA to my friends for its affordability and efficiency. I’m trying to go back to get certified in Phlebotomy and EKG. I have recommended this to many friends and family already.

I took the ekg tech course with Ms.Mason and she was truly one of the best instructors Ive ever had. I learned a lot about the anatomy of the heart and also learned how to perform ekgs. I went in knowing nothing about ekgs and when classes were over I was very comfortable performing ekgs and had much more knowledge about them, only because of Ms.Mason. She truly is a great instructor and she only wants whats best for her students. She doesnt mind repeating stuff or going over any reading material or answering any questions one may have.I highly highly recommend taking classes at tia allied health, great school !!Also plan on taking phlebotomy course with Ms.Mason in the near future !!

TIA School is lucky. They have some amazing instructors like Mr. Santiago who teaches phlebotomy and EKG and is actually a PhD. Mr. Santiago deserves 10 stars out of 5 for giving you all the material in the most comprehensive and interesting way possible. He truly cares about his students and makes sure you are ready for your NHA exam (if you decide to take one). As long as you study your notes, read the textbook, and take some practice tests, youll get your certificate. Im now back for an EKG class and happy to have Mr. Santiago as an instructor again. I took the state exam last week and passed! I took the class with Professor Nina and loved listening to her lectures and her real life experiences on the job. I felt well prepared when going for the state test. And the best part is you’re allowed to come whenever needed to prepare for the exam. Had a very nice experience here.

My wife can here in Oct to take the CNA class. She passed her exam on the first try and was able to find a job right away. The class is cheap and the teachers are really good. She got her internship right after the class and took the exam about 2 weeks after the classes ended. In all with the class and exam, it us 2 months to get certified. All for under $1K. Thats a great price, since other school are charging about double for the just the class. I dont understand why someone would want to go to another school. I also take classes here through my company with great success. You cannot go wrong with this school.

Nurse Nina is a spectacular teacher. Her genuine love for others and being a nurse is inspiring. She teaches beyond what we need to know as CNAs. Along with being a great teacher she has a big heart and truly cares about all of her students. I would highly recommend taking her class.

I attended the CNA classes there and my instructor Ms Noel was the best.. We were well prepared for the exam.. Her classes challenges you and are very intense at times but when u take the exam it is way easier than the test she gives. The school is great if you are thinking taking the CNA course. The price is excellent and they work with you if u cant pay right away... Great school.

Took the Cicso CCNA prep course. Juan was a great instructor and material that was I had trouble comprehending on my own became very clear. I was not expecting it but I passed the test on my first try! I was amazed because I had less then 2 months to prepare!

I took the CNA class here and it was great. Ms Clarke was an excellent instructor, she guided us through theory and skills making sure we learned them. Also, they give you the chance to practice the skills in the lab after class and even after the course is done you can go to practice for your state board exam. The internship was a great experience as well. On the other hand, their price is affordable and they have payment plans. Great choice to start your career.

I recently took the phlebotomy course with Mr. Santiago, and I cannot say enough positive things about him. His style of teaching, knowledge of the subject material, and ability to get the students to understand the material (in a very short period of time), was well above par. If you decide to attend the school, I would make sure you take classes with him.

I just completed the Phlebotomy course with Mr. Santiago! My overall experience at TIA was really good and I feel like I’ve learned everything I needed to learn in order to be successful in my career. Though I wish we had more time to practice hands on training but it was still very satisfying. Mr. Santiago did a wonderful job, he made the class exciting, alive and kept us interested and focus. I would definitely recommend this school to others and specially to take their courses with him.

I highly recommend taking the CNA course at TIA with Professor Nina. She is a captivating and knowledgeable professor, that genuinely cares about the success of her students. The course is thorough and enjoyable. With the externship paired with the 6 weeks of classes, you feel confident to begin your career in health care.

Ms. Nina is a very good instructor. I took the Cna course with a different instructor. However, I had to come to Ms.Ninas class for one day to make up a day I missed from the morning class. Ms.Nina lectures are very informative. She uses examples from her years of work experience. I like the fact that she ensures all of her students practice each skill. Even though I was not an official student of hers, she welcomed me to come in on Saturday’s for extra practice. I used her students as models as I performed the skills. If I did something wrong, Ms.Nina would kindly explain to me the things I needed to improve. I took my test last Friday. All of the skills I had to for the exam were skills I did not know how to do before practicing with Ms.Nina. If she’s nice enough to help a person from another class, imagine how helpful she is to her own students.

I just completed my 3rd course at this institution. With EKG being the most recent, Im compelled to write a review about Professor Santiago. He has been the best of all the tutors as he made sure that we were motivated and communicated the lesson effectively. Mr. Santiago integrated materials and methodology, interacted with students as well as planned, used and provided evaluative feedbacks. My suggestion would be to use him to tutor ALL courses but since thats not possible, please try and recruit similar professors
