It was a total Awesome experience.Ive learned numerous techniques.Some of which are the basic fundamentals and principles and becoming a Dj or adding to your skills set. Pricing are affordable.The instructors are amazing individuals which are relevant and current. I first went to an open house at Scratch in the Spring of 2012 and was impressed by their setup and how clear it was that everyone who works there loves what they do. Ive officially been a student there since January 2013 and will be graduating their certification program this fall. From the guest DJs (some of whom are celebrities) to the interns, its clear that everyone there loves music and just wants to help you get whatever you want out of the classes. Whether youre just looking for a hobby, a part-time gig or are trying to DJ full-time, Scratch is a great place to start and grow your talents.

What a blast!I want to Scratch DJ Academy because of a Living Social event. It was a educational and unique experience. Whether you wish to study there and become a dj or not I say check it out.The teachers were great and it is and unique and fun experience.Im dating myself but I had to laugh as I thought back to the day when we were oh so careful with our vinyl albums, touching only the edges, oh so gingerly putting the needle down and lifting it off and there I was.....Scratching the record!

Amazing. A fiend signed her son up for camp a year ago and I was jealous. I told my 10 year old about it and he couldnt wait for the summer to get here. There were about 10 kids in the camp - ages 10 to 14. The instructors were great with kids, but didnt talk down to them. We then bought a controller for our family Mac so that he can keep playing with it. They encourage students to drop in throughout the year to keep their skills up or learn new tricks. This is a godsend considering our older son has been teaching himself the bass guitar and we have heard the same 3 riffs 2000 times.

If you want to learn how to DJ in the positive and correct way!This is the perfect place with awesome teachers and students who love this form of art.I had my best experience at Scratch in my 1 year stay in New York.

Recently entertained some clients here and had an absolutely blast. Definitely not your steak/wine dinner or cheesy team building event :) Our instructor, DJ Max Carnage, was fantastic and took the time to not only teach us the proper methods of DJing/scratching, but started with the history of the genre, walked us through the equipment and answered our many questions.The Academy allowed us to cater in our own food and drinks, which was a big win as well.Definitely recommended!

Visited here while I was in NYC. Everyone was super chill and nice, and you could tell that they were all very passionate about music and DJing.
