If you want to get better at playing or singing jazz, fusion, funk, Latin, swing etc, i couldnt recommend NYJW classes more highly. Conveniently located in Times Square, these workshops bring together talented aspriring musicians and inspired enthusiastic musician educators to help shape and guide students in learning the language that is jazz. Classes are reasonably priced, serious but congenial and private instruction is available as well. There is no better time than now to stop waiting and start swinging!

The New York Jazz Workshop has been extremely valuable in taking my skills from my instrument to the interactive setting of a jam session. Gaining proficiency in the many different scenarios that could possibly come up during a jazz performance has been provided by the NYJW week after week with the opportunity of doing it again and again. And getting feedback from professionals such as Dave Scott, Andrea Veneziani, and David Ambrosio have been invaluable to me – since starting with the NYJW, I’ve not only built-up the confidence to go to jam sessions, but I’m now getting called to sit in with jazz musicians.
