I attended the self defense class with my daughter who is getting ready to leave for college. The class was awesome! The instructors Shawn and Dave provided a wealth of information, gave excellent examples and allowed us to practice the techniques they modeled for us. I would highly recommend this class to teens, women or men. The majority of the class taught us how to be aware of our surroundings. At the end we were able to practice hands on self defense strategies. It was a wonderful class and I hope to have my other girls attend a soon! I feel much better about sending my daughter off to college now that she has these skills! Thank you!!

I have been to the store several times and have always been disappointed by the service. They have good inventory, but I have yet to leave the store feeling like I was helped. During my most recent experience, I had every intention of purchasing a firearm. However, I was not offered any solutions or suggestions and ended up feeling demeaned. I will never buy anything from them again, let alone something as significant and expensive as a firearm.

Great place to join. I barely shoot and I love it there. The founders lounge is awesome. Great food, great drinks that change frequently. Good deals on rotating beers. They have a fitness you can use 24 hours a day. Oh, and they have all kinds of classes for gun use and safety.

The armorer took time out if his schedule to remove a bullet stuck in my barrel, took him 5 minutes and no charge, what a guy! Ill definitely be making my next big purchase from 88 Tactical Group. During my short wait, I took a look around the showroom, it was beautiful, well organized with an amazing selection. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Cant wait to take friends and family to check out the range!

As a young woman getting ready to leave for college I found their self-defense were extremely influential and beneficial. The instructors were fantastic and really want you to leave feeling like you can defend yourself if your ever in such a position. 10/10 would recommend 88 Tactical

I took the intro to handguns course with Instructors Derek and Red. They were both phenomenal and I loved learning from them. I have a very basic understanding of firearms as I’ve shot a few times before this class. I can tell those who never have fired handguns were appreciative of how the class was tailored to beginners. I HIGHLY recommend either of these trainers as they were both great. Thanks again guys. Cant wait for my CCW class in two weeks!!!

Last night a small group of us took a class It was called introduction to hand guns. First of all we all had a wonderful time with the instructors we all were very nervous about handling a gun. The Instructors we’re very patient and we’re not overbearing at all. They were very understanding and very informational on every part of the class. Participated in the conceal carry class. Very informative class with a great instructor. He answered all the questions we had with ease and presented the information in a simple, timely manner. Highly recommend to anyone looking to really learn something while obtaining your permit.

The club is welcoming and has a good selection of guns. What really sold me was my guy Paul and how inviting he was and even offered to take me on a tour of the facility. No one did that and I was there looking for over 15 minutes prior to Paul’s arrival. Overall, I recommend joining or even visiting their facility for your next purchase.

I took a conceal carry course (CHP) here along with a brief tour of the place. I enjoyed the instructors approach to the subject of conceal carry and self defense. Really insightful!Tactical 88 has a lot to offer and is a unique gun range & club. I dont write many reviews but this place is really that cool.

Took the CHP class, it was such a great environment and experience. Really glad the course had hands on firing drills alongside the class time. Really helped me understand the importance of carrying and training.

This is a really neat place and I really like gun shop. Everyone was helpful and knowledgeable. Im from out of state so I had to have my purchase shipped. There were some issues with the ATF but Matt did a great job keeping me informed and making it happen. I really appreciate his efforts and look forward to stopping in again soon.

The class we took was good and informative. They went very slowly which was great for us because we have never even held a gun. For safety in the pandemic we wish the staff had been wearing masks. Even though it’s a personal choice it’s still a public place.

I took the Conceal Carry class on Sunday 2/28/21 & it was very informative. The instructors take their job very serious & are extremely professional. If you want a run of the mill class with minimal training & information go else where. These guys inform you of everything you’d need to know as well as training you on proper use, procedure, and what u can do at home to become a better more accurate shooter. Was an amazing experience & will be taking full advantage of the other courses they offer.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

Took a carbine level 1 course at the Tekamah facility, and had a fantastic time! I learned a whole lot, and the Instructor, Kurt Sorys, did an awesome job teaching the class, and helping each student on an individual level. I will most definitely be returning for more classes!

I attended an Into to Handgun Course today with Josh. I went into this class knowing close to nothing about handguns. In fact, I have never shot a Handgun before this class! Josh gave me the knowledge and confidence I needed going into live fire. I will be back for another Course!

I took there Intro to hand gun class. I walked into the class feel unsure and not confident about my hand gun. D and red answered all my questions make sure that everyone felt safe and confident. They did and excellent job when demonstrating everything. They made sure that i knew how to hold and use my gun to my best ability. Most of all they made me feel confident that if i never need to use my gun in a situation that i could protect me or someone else safely. I will be taking my conceal to carry class with them. I will defiantly be recommending them and the facility!!!!

I went to tactical 88 for my chp training. It was my first time going to this range. Ive heard allot of good things that all were true. If you are looking to get your chp I would high suggest tactical 88! But most importantly I would suggest taking the course that Allen Perry teaches! He does a great job! He makes the class entertaining and understandable. His live training during the class was awesome! I will be back to further my training and education!

I’m a former police officer and have 23 years of military experience. I can tell you I was thoroughly impressed with 88 Tactical’s facilities and training staff. I recently attended a civilian concealed handgun course. The facility itself was immaculate and well staffed. They literally had the equipment that any of my classmates would have needed (weapons, PPE, holsters, ammunition etc). The ranges were well lit, maintained and exceeded par. The instructors were outstanding. They all had military / special operations and law enforcement backgrounds. They absolutely weren’t faking the funk. There was no BS and the instructors were very professional. They broke down both the classroom and hands on training / live fire so that all skill levels could feel comfortable in this training environment. Although this was a basic level class, I have been to a lot of training both as a police officer and as a soldier I can safely say that 88 Tactical was as professional, specifically the caliber of instruction coupled with the outstanding facilities than most of the classes I have attended at private facilities.

I had the pleasure of taking my CHP class at Tactical 88 on 05/09 my Instructor Allen Perry was outstanding. He made you feel like a member of his family when he gave instructions and he makes it fun.I look forward to training more with you guys.

I took the Intro to Handgun class with my wife and it was everything I expected and more. They pushed safety first and foremost. They worked on everything from proper handling, to loading magazines, to grip and stance. I recommend anyone new to handguns or that havent shot in a long time take this class first before anything else. Its not only for beginners, but would be an amazing refresher for anyone that hasnt picked up their firearm in awhile. We already signed up for our CCP class for next week!EDIT: Just went through the CHP with Mike Mon/Tues night and it was very informative. They go above and beyond the State Patrol requirements. We felt very safe the entire time as that is the number one thing they preach...SAFETY.

The experience and knowledge of the instructors is incredible! There is a huge focus on safety and thinking things through. Bryan and Scott were amazing!

My review will comment on two aspects of my experiences at 88 Tactical: instruction and customer service.Instruction: I have had basic-level handgun classes from three of the instructors. John and Lynn are fantastic. They each have their own training style and I learn a lot from them. John gets an extra shout-out for incorporating humor and encouragement during his courses. I always leave John’s class feeling like I made great progress. Bottom line is that you will receive excellent training from all of the instructors.Customer Service: Honestly, this is hit or miss. As some of the other reviews have mentioned, I have seen a lot of employees standing around the check-in desk. You never quite know what to do or who is helping you. It can be rather hectic. However, once you finally get someone’s full attention, the employees are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I did have a less-than-favorable firearm purchase experience, but when I voiced my concerns I truly felt my comments were listened to and I was happy with the outcome.Overall, 88 Tactical is a wonderful place to shoot and hang out.

The Intro to Handgun course FAR EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS. Im an Army Vet that just wanted a little formal handgun training for myself and 14 year old son and this course did that and then some. I watched a young lady (maybe 15) go from jumping out of her skin upon hearing the first gunshot to confidently hitting her target repeatedly within a matter of 20 minutes... AWESOME! Thanks Lynn!

While truck driving I had to stop at the dealer across the street. So of course, like a little kid in a candy store I had to come over and check it out. Im more of a rifle or hunter type person rather than tactical but even for me the place was awesome. Everyone who works here offered help and showed me some gear. They also gave me a tour despite the fact I would never intend on getting a membership cause Im Canadian. Last but not least and this must be said the food here is amazing its possibly a one stop hang out with a gym and a bar. I didnt want to leave at all. Thanks guys.

The facilities are top notch, the training is next level with all the combined experience of the instructors, their gear selection has good variety, and not to mention the best food you’ll probably ever find at a gun range. Austin B specifically has been a huge help whenever I’ve had questions with retail stuff. I can’t say enough good things about this company!

This is a great range. It’s clean and the staff is always very helpful. If you’re a new shooter or a little more seasoned, you’ll be right at home here. Once my kids are a bit older and more self sufficient, I can’t wait to get a membership and come once a week.

I took part in two courses on 7/2/2020, Firearm Essentials Basic Safety course and Intro to Handgun. Both were led by Josh, aka Red. Not only was the class massively informative, but he kept it serious while also entertaining. He helped some nervous beginners very professionally and I cannot recommend these courses enough. Fast forward to today 8/3/2020. We stopped in for lunch, which is also amazing. Josh is in the lobby and I ask him for help on proper cleaning. He says he is free and this afternoon and can make the time to answer any questions. Even though this is just one guy at 88 tactical, I cannot express how much this is indicative of the entire staff at the Omaha location. Go check them out for excellent knowledge and an amazing indoor range. And try Matts BLT.

88 Tactical is the range to be at. Wether your a first time shooter, a novice, or an expert, this is the range for you! I took a CHP class and it was energetic, exciting and extremely knowledgeable. The entire staff was friendly and each person has many years of experience from all different types of backgrounds. They have many classes for different skill sets you would like to learn or improve on. If your a first timer and nervous about your first time going, the staff will ease all of your fears. 88 tactical has a ton of options for range gear especially weapon choices. I have been to a couple of good ranges in Nebraska, and 88 Tactical blows them away! I would definitely recommend to everybody!!!

This place was great. They are great! Always very kind and helpful and just overall want to teach you to protect yourself. Anything else that has been said is just ridiculous.

What a cool shop/range/club

I wanted to post this while it was still fresh on my mind. I recently took a CCW class at 88 Tactical. My trainer was known affectionately as “Soap”. He was knowledgeable, engaging, informative and patient with the student in the a class of individual ranging from first time shooters to avid shooters with an age range of (I’m guessing) 30-75 years of age. I did an evening split class meaning 6-10pm Monday and Tuesday.... AFTER a full day of work, but I never felt like I was going to nod of because Soaps teaching style was educational but also highly engaging. I learned a lot and I became a better shooter.... but most importantly I became a SAFER shooter. A few pro tips though....1. Get there a little early. There is a cafe area to eat down stairs that has some pretty good food. The tacos are great too. And for a little sugar filled pick-me-up, try the triple chocolate brownies or the cookies. And for a little protein powered energy try their peanut butter and chocolate and banana protein shake. (YES, they actually make protein shakes here).2. If you don’t own a gun, talk to ANY of the staff there, you won’t find a bad choice. Everyone there is super friendly and knowledgeable in their own right. If they don’t know something, they will ask a friend or coworker that does.3. If you need a tour of the facilities to know all they can offer, talk to David at the front desk.4. Of you haven’t shot your gun in a while or it seems a bit off, they have a gun Smith on-site that will get you up and going.5. If you have children in your home, schedule them for a separate gun safety course. This is super important if you will have a gun in the house or regularly traveling with one.6. Have fun, learn, grow and gain a little more confidence to be out and about in this crazy world.-Perry

I made reservations for me and 4 others to go shoot. This was supposed to be my little birthday fun time and the first time to shoot my new firearms I purchased. This would of been my first time at this establishment or any for that matter. When we arrived i was notified lanes were shut down do to malfunctions with the range machines. This was upsetting for the fact that I live in council bluffs and drove 30 minutes to shoot here and was not able to do so. When I made reservations they were given my phone number and email and it would of been beneficial to receive this information of shut down prior to me driving 30 minutes. We had walked in and were told to go in and sign in and sign waivers then was then notified by the next employee we could not shoot if we were not members. This was upsetting for me and the others in my group. Better communication on instances like this would be great.

I am really glad I decided to take some classes here including intron to handguns and the CHP class. The instructors for the classes were great. I had Chris, Red, Soap. All the instructors were very knowledgeable and patient with each class member. The whole class has different ranges of gun knowledge and the staff was attentive and patient with all of us. They make class fun and keep every one involved. Would recommend this facility to everyone I know.Also because of the gun safety class they offer for kids certain ages. I can now bring my child to the range to learn how to shoot as well.Overall glad that we are part of the 88 tactical founders club, it is worth it.

Honestly it was the best course I have taken. John was very positive offered Outstanding instruction. Taught me several things about my firearm that I didn’t know. Gave us several drills that we can practice at home that will improve proficiency and safety. For the $90 I spent, I received my money’s worth and then some. I will go back after I master the skills Learned tonight. Looking at my test target I could use the work :).

Just finished a two day class this past Monday & Tuesday at their Facility in Omaha - top notch instruction and top notch facility. Instructors (Soap & Lynn) were both quite detailed and passionate - definitely will sigh up for additional classes.

I took one of there classes which was very educational and fun. The instructor (Red) was fantastic, he was very thorough, professional, and had everyone’s safety in mind when it came to range time. Definitely going back for more classes. Already signed up for the CCW class coming up this month.

I stopped at 88 Tactical on my way through town. Me and James talked for a while about building rifles, and he was a solid dude. My guy was super helpful in getting me pointed in the right direction on my 10.3” 300BLK build. Definitely recommend.

Our city is extremely fortunate to have a facility of this caliber staffed with highly trained, safe and knowledgeable individuals. Ranges are clean, well maintained and time is very reasonably priced.I took my first class with them just last night. Very impressive, full of useful techniques and coaching from a professional, period. Very impressed with the staff overall. When taking the CHP course the instructor, Soap, continued to instill that this (CHP course) is not the end all and that it takes continued training as handling firearms and firing shots with succession can be a lost skill. The demonstrations, practicing and feedback were incredibly helpful. Seeing Soap engage with those who struggled with basic firearm knowledge and recommending intro courses to basic firearms shows how attentive he was. Bringing in and discussing USCCA was highly necessary as many of us in the class were unaware that existed. I obviously recommend taking the CHP course trough 88 Tactical as well as basic firearms for beginners. I plan on taking future courses there to further enhance my skills.

I took my CCW class there, well put together. Great prices even compared to mass producers like Scheels for firearms as wel! The best thing though, I brought in my custom AR15 I was having issues with. Red took a good look at it and helped me with some tips and didnt charge me. They really take care of their customers 👌

Tactical 88 does an amazing job from start to finish! The conceal carry class is very educational and so worth it. Our instructor Dan Stocker does such a great job especially with people who are beginners when it comes to the subject of handguns. The food was great and I recommend the 4 meat flat bread. The facility and instructors are top-tier. After sitting through the Concealed Carry training with Trevor and Soap, I am grateful to have let my previous permit lapse, otherwise I would not have had this excellent experience. Ill be back for more training and a membership.

Be mindful when you checkout at the range to ask for your ID back. 2 times now my ID was not returned to me after shooting at the range.Today I was set to purchase a handgun at another location, but had to drive all the way back to 88 Tactical to get my ID. I am lucky that I wasnt pulled over before I noticed that it was no longer in my possession. If I didnt have my mind set on buying that handgun, there is no telling how long I would have went without my ID.Yes it is my ID and my responsibility, but I expected a higher level of service to return items that I had surrendered to utilize their facility.Now instead of having enough time to register my newly purchased handgun so that its not just sitting at the store, I have to schedule more time to go do that.

The professionalism is off the charts. I started taking classes here from their beginning. When I brought my fiance Raluca into the country I wanted her to have top notch self defense training. She was so impressed and learned so much from her trainers. We have taken many classes since then and love it. Her English was not so good at the beggining but they had no issues helping her through the program. Thanks 88 Tactical.

Amazing group. I had an great instructor Lynn who was very informative for my CCW class. I am new to shooting and am confident in knowing that I am in good hands for my future training. I would recommend and encourage anyone with experience or without to check this place out with all they have and will have.

I enjoyed my time there. The instructors were knowledgeable and funny. They helped me realize my grip is way too soft for firearms. After teaching 25 years using a soft hand, learning to tighten my grip seemed unattainable. I am growing as a gun owner and will continue having a growth mindset concerning my gun rights and safety.I recommend the intro to handgun class to everyone. Mr. Pozehl and his 2nd in command were truly gentleman who said 2 things in the beginning that mattered most to me...we are not trying to make you feel bad with our criticism and holding a tight grip while firing is paramount.

In my experience the instruction at 88 Tactical is outstanding. Soap (yes, there is in fact a *serious* resemblance to MWs Soap) was awesome. He was, without a doubt, a seasoned professional with the right kind of background and credentials to lead you in both the classroom and on the range. He knew the material and delivered it in a entertaining and approachable way. Safety was clearly a top priority. He also dropped some tips and wisdom that left me wanting more. This is exactly the kind of person you want to train with. Not only in weapon arts either. Hes got a lifetime of self-defense under his belt. Soap knows whats up. We are talking about a huge amount of knowledge available at a premier facility that were very lucky to have in Omaha. If you have any interest whatsoever you need to get in there right now. It is really quite a place, and they are improving it by adding longer ranges and a gym too. 10 of 10, 100 of 100, whatever you want to call it - 88 Tactical is the real deal.

Just completed my Firearm Essentials Basic Safety Course AR-15 Carbine course. I must say it was quite the experience, in a good way. Very informative. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! I joined a couple weeks ago as a Founders Member, best decision I made.I was blown away by the amount of knowledge our instructor John had. He did a wonderful job with walking us through the course. John you remember this review if you pull me over in the future. Thanks again for everything. It was a wonderful experience.

I took the intro to handgun class with Lynn. This class was great. I highly recommend the class whether you are looking at a refresher class, uncertain about using the shooting range, or would like a better knowledge of handguns. I felt welcomed and treated wonderfully by the staff and members. All of my questions were answered and I never felt dumb for asking. I am looking forward to using their facility more in the future. I’d encourage anyone to use Tactical 88 for their training needs.

Highly recommend every woman takes the primal defense class they offer. Super informative and helpful for real life situations. The instructors made it really fun as well. I will be returning to take the next class!

Went here for Nebraska Concealed Carry training. Excellent facility and instructor. They have a great cafe as well.

Ive taken 2 classes here so far and cant say enough about the knowledge, skills and experience of the instructors. Both Bryan and Red were great instructors, making everyone in their class feel at ease, no matter what the individuals experience level was. No worries about over- the-top tacticool soldier of fortune guys here. These guys are squared away professionals there to train you how to stay alive, not impress you with war stories. My wife and I will definitely be continuing our training with them.

Completed the CCW course. Trey was an excellent and entertaining instructor! I liked that he took time to give individual instruction during the firing range portion. He really helped my wife with her shooting dynamics. Also loved that the course included topics such as the mental and emotional mindset, legal issues and more.Then we toured the facility and became members. What an incredible place - even great for business networking! Weve already been back and look forward to years of family fun, learning and enjoyment!

I attended the CCW class at 88 tactical yesterday with Soap as an instructor. I have taken CCW classes before down in Florida and this class by far exceeded any class I have ever taken. Soap makes the class informative and fun at the same time. This class ensured me I made the right decision becoming a founders club member earlier this year and I look forward to taking more classes at this facility.

Just took the Conceal and Carry Class with 88 Tactical and it was a fantastic experience! Brian Soap is an excellent instructor with real world experience, can not say enough great things about how much value he added. Fantastic business model, they will soft sell you on membership during lunch but I never felt pressured at all, and clearly they have a lot to offer! I believe they are missing on a key service they can offer with all of the experience on their staff, but I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone!

Course and instructors were amazing. Definitely recommend for anyone wanting to learn or to further their training.

Just did the concealed weapon class and both my husband and I had the best experience. We became members because it’s a great place to shoot. They are professional and safe. Not only that, the lounge upstairs is very nice, the food is great and it’s relaxing atmosphere makes you feel very special. Best decision we made, becoming members. At 88 tactical they try really hard to make it a great place for the family and give discounts so it’s easier to be a member and purchase what you need (want). The owner and his wife are always coming up with new ideas for classes for both women and men as well as expanding, adding a gym etc.
