July 2021 The staff are very friendly. This place has a lot of students and they seem to enjoy themselves. The instructors make it fun and they dont put too much pressure on the kids. If youre a parent who cares to see improvements, they also offer private classes with an additional cost. Just make sure you go in with the mind of... this place is not cheap, or NOT meant for people on a budget. There are plenty of expensive hidden fees and other outrages fees that are not talked about when signing up. Remember to read the small print on anything you sign. Ask plenty of questions and listen carefully. The monthly fee will NOT be the only fee that you will have to pay throughout the contract. Other than high expenses, it would appear that this place is very clean. They teach self-control, manners, respect and are very welcoming to children of all race.

We adore Tiger Rock! I started my kids over the summer, and they loved it so much that we decided to continue in the fall. I even signed up myself. They are incredibly professional, super friendly, and welcoming to every single person who has come in the door that I’ve seen. Their aim is to create a family atmosphere, and they absolutely have achieved that. We love Tiger Rock ❤️

My kids have been going to this academy since 2016. We love it. Its an investment in our kids personal growth, maturity, self-discipline and athletic abilities. They not only learn taekwondo but how to conduct themselves with adults. We have had many teachers tell us that our kids often greet them first with Good morning! and I credit Tiger Rock for this small but impactful behavior.

We have been involved with Tiger Rock Academy for about 7years. The change we have seen in our child is well worth the investment in her future. The skills she has learned has served her well in classroomactivities as well as in the community.

I have 3 children. When the pandemic hit, I was hesitant to continue indoor activities. I reached out to our local TIGER ROCK facility and explained my concerns. Mr. and Mrs. Baluch were confident in their ability in keeping their families safe. I placed my trust in their hands. My son has been the only child visiting a facility consistently since the March pandemic. My daughter was going to start dance classes on site. When the doors to the dance facility opened, I knew the facility was going to be held to the EXTREMELY high standards of safety guidelines and cleanliness that TIGER ROCK provided for my son. The dance facility couldnt hold a candle to TIGER ROCK. TIGER ROCK is still the only indoor facility I feel safe and comfortable attending. Many thanks to TIGER ROCK for taking IMMENSE care of your students and their families. You bring a mom comfort and my son joy at a time where uncertainties still remain.

Tiger Rock has been so much more to our family then just our son learning Martial Arts. Out son started the program when he was 5. We really had no idea what we were getting into when we started this. Micheal and Sandy have so wonderful. They make sure that we know what is going but that our son does too. Their training has helped us in so many ways at home. People always told us that your child will learn so much more than just Martial Arts and they were right. We love being a part of the Tiger Rock Family. Wonderful group of people and so welcoming.

I have been observing one the students from a grandparent perspective. I can tell you the staff interacts amazingly with the students. They bring discipline and order to table as well as exercise and fun. I was extremely impressed with their stranger awareness and escape training.

Our Granddaughter was started in martial arts training at the Tiger Rock Academy in Lincoln. After watching her progress in Tiger Cubs and then moving to the Omaha area, we transferred her to Tiger Rock here. What a pleasant transition to Master and Mrs. Baluch’s leadership. We noticed a very impressive focus on perseverance, practice, and perfection here. Students learn to succeed because they “believe” they can. There is a focus on the Tenets at each class and the success of each student matters, regardless of rank or age. Students are expected to practice, to help each other improve and we have witnessed growth in self control and self confidence.Daryl and Carol MouwJasmine’s Grand Parents

Classes are good, but you quickly tire of all the extra fees on top of your monthly fee. They also close quite often for this reason or that. My kids did love the classes, but the management really made it quite unpleasant for me as a parent. I would definitely go somewhere else if I had it to do over!

Tiger Rock has a great Taekwondo program. My daughter Christina used to be so shy, she wouldnt even look you in the eye when she was talking to you. Since she started training at Tiger Rock her self confidence has grown leaps and bounds. I highly recommend Tiger Rock Academy.

For my five kids, it costs about the same as piano lessons when averaged over 28 months (the time to get to black belt). The family price is a great deal but testing fees, equipment, and special seminars are very expensive compared with other places in Omaha that Ive seen. We will pay a total of about $2,500 per person to get through all the color belts. That includes unlimited classes so we go 3 to 4 times per week. By comparison, we pay $100 per month per person for piano lessons for one class per week which is about $12,500 over 28 months. Note that piano lessons are individual so its a little apples and oranges. The head instructor is great with kids. They have a strong focus on values. The absolute rank requirements, at least for the lower ranks, are quite accessible for most people. Beyond the absolute rank requirements, advancement seems to be based on personal improvement. The kids like that and it makes it possible for us to participate as a family.I have observed students of similar black belt ranks display vast differences in skill. While I think thats okay for color ranks, I feel like the black belt ranks should be more uniform and/or measured against higher absolute standards. If you want to become a fighting machine, then try to find an old-school kung fu instructor whos not afraid of pain. If you want some exercise, fun family atmosphere, and modern martial arts experience, then come to Tiger Rock!

Tiger Rock Academy is a great place for kids to learn real values like courtesy, respect, and discipline. The instructors at Tiger Rock are great and do a wonderful job of reinforcing the importance of being a good person by treating others the way that they want to be treated. My son Jace has been training at Tiger Rock for 3 years and he has learned to lead by example. He is always receiving compiments for how well he speaks to adults, and how polite and courteous he is. The instructors at Tiger Rock are a huge help in reinforcing the values that I want Jace to have now and as he continues to grow up. I highly recommend Tiger Rock Academy for anyone who wants their child to be the best that they can be.
