My daughter graduates today...proud Mom! This is her day and Im glad that I am able to witness her creativity and awesomeness. I would recommend this school to anyone who has a child that is passionate, driven and dedicated to the art of cinema make-up. My daughter Jordan has always been inquisitive and self taught, but Joe Blasco Makeup Artist Training Center is giving her the credentials to go forward and pursue her dreams. Thank you to the Joe Blasco office staff and pro team of instructors for supporting the students that are determined and wanting to learn the craft of Makeup artistry.

Joe Blasco has without a doubt listened to all of the complaints given and has given the school a complete makeover. Out with the old and in with the new. With new direction from the new director this school has truly made a difference in my life. Words cant describe my graditude to the school director, my amazing teachers and most of all Joe Blasco! I highly recommend you come to this school and experience what I now have. With the amount of knowledge, determination and encouragement this school has provided me I feel much more confident in my future. Doors have only just begun to open! Thank You Joe Blasco!

My first experience with this school was not the best. The previous school director/advanced prosthetic instructor was very neglectful in her teachings and as a result I felt as if I had wasted my time and money at this school. HOWEVER, this school is under new management. The current employed advanced prosthetic instructor takes pride in her work and properly teaches the students the curriculum. Joe Blasco himself understands the situation I and other students have been through. As a result, I have been able to come back (without extra cost) to refresh my studies and recieve the proper education I should have recieved the first time. Due to the previous predicament, Joe Blasco has and continued to be more involved in this school. This school has done nothing but improved and will continue to improve from this point on.

Overall my experience was disappointing. Im grateful for what Ive learned and the gigs the school provided, but everything else fell short. Instructors didnt give lots of constructive feedback and generally didnt seem like they wanted to be there; always on their phone, doing their own makeup, and or decorating their journal. There was lots of drama and hostility between classmates that instructors neglected to address or control, they even made fun of some behind closed doors. Very unprofessional especially when youre teaching young adults about a very professional field. When I was an intern, the school director would often harass students and other interns to write good reviews on google to boost the schools rating. Not to mention, the certificates you receive after graduating dont mean anything outside of the school; no license number or anything that proves you know sanitation and regulations. If youre thinking about starting your makeup career, please look elsewhere.

Overall I would have to say my experience at Joe Blasco school was a positive one. They do have a excellent staff that are very hands on. I was very fearful to do makeup before I went to Joe Blasco school now I am confident to do many types of makeup, beauty, fantasy, glam, avant-garde, etc. I also loved working with the professional products . I had the opportunity to actually learn how to use Mr. joe Blasco great products. I had the time of my life learning makeup and meeting new great people at schoolI didnt want it to end. Im so thankful for attending Joe Blasco makeup artist training center.

👏🏻ZERO👏🏻STARS.The people in charge should be fired. I’ve heard multiple accounts of them taking to social media to bully fellow artists and people who complained about the quality of the school. I graduated from their advanced professional course in 2004. While attending I thought it was great. Looking back on it over the following year upon graduating, I realized I had chosen the “cheapest” school for the most “location convenience” as it was the least expensive and closest to my home town. Fast forward to present day and, while many instructors have come and gone, none have been this unqualified and unprofessional as Melissa Cintron and her colleague Mari. I assume they’re good friends because Melissa sent Mari and then some of her former class mates my way to leave nasty remarks on social media. (See photos). That is certain death in our small industry. I briefly saw Melissa come up in the industry as she followed my own makeup work on Instagram and then graduated from her course. She somehow landed herself an instructor position shortly after. With no real world experience in this industry. This brings me to the real problem stemming from Blasco. They will employ someone totally unqualified and she’ll teach a class how to use cultural appropriation in their “Geisha/ Kabuki” segment (see photo), something my class featured as well but we were actually given historical resources and taught less offensive ways to recreate the cultural makeups. Then that same unqualified instructor will tell her own students to fire back at people via social media like some squad. When I suggested Melissa do better, she told me to stick to hair styling. Honey, I’m dual certified, and have been successful for a combination of over 15 years. For two ladies who instruct and run a school that will influence and shape others entering the makeup industry, I highly warn anyone from joining this world through Joe Blasco’s Orlando location as they seem to produce nothing positive or redeeming. Unqualified. Unprofessional. Insensitive. I don’t even think they realize I’m Asian. In 2017, there is no excuse for such behavior. Save your money and enroll in a better school like VAMP FX or one from another state. Compare their Instagram accounts and see for yourself.

Absolutely horrible school. Waste of money and waste of time. All the techniques are past the point of dated and the fact that Im still trying to pay for this overpriced place 2 years later makes me so upset. I actually feel like I wasted my life.
