Professor Gutty and all of the black belt instructors are extremely knowledgable and friendly. There are classes for different levels so you can learn at your own pace. And the two-story facility is top notch. My son and I wouldnt train anywhere else.

I met Professor Lawrence today and I was blown away by how welcoming and amazing he and the entire academy are. It was also really awesome as had a friend with me that had no impression of any martial arts and she was super excited as well. You will be hard pressed to find a better place never mind value for your money. The all inclusive atmosphere at the best price I’ve ever seen in my all years. My kids have been going here for about five months. Professor Gutty (owner), professor Lawrence (main instructor), and the other instructors are patient, considerate, and welcoming far beyond my expectations. If you’re looking for a place for your kids to learn jiu jitsu, you absolutely cannot go wrong here.Clean and spacious workout space. Classes are fun and well structured with clear instruction. Plenty of instructors that watch the kids to make sure no one gets injured. They watch closely and sometimes even stop them before tapping since kids can sometimes unwisely resist a submission rather than tap. Good culture of safety while also allowing kids to work hard, learn self defense, overcome frustration, and gain real confidence. World class instruction for kids classes and adults.The adult classes seem to have lots of focused and talented people. I don’t know any exact numbers, but I’ve noticed at least six or seven black belts and about as many brown belts and many other ranks. Overall this place has a great culture that’s welcoming to serious athletes and complete beginners.Everyone has been helpful, nice, and accommodating for us. Very reasonable cost. I can’t say enough good things about the professionals that run it.

After doing my research, I decided to join Gracie Barra of North Orlando. Based on their reputation, I came in with very high expectations. Despite the high bar, my sons and I have been blown away by how great this school is. The instructors are top-notch, and you can tell they really care about their students having a good experience. The students are very welcoming. Finally, the vibe at this school is exactly what I was looking for. Each instructor stresses conflict avoidance and discipline, and they emphasize that our skills are for self-defense only. If you are looking to learn self-defense, to get in shape, and to meet a great group of instructors and students, I hope you will join us on our journey.

The absolute best place for my daughters. Theyve been training Jiu-Jitsu here for a couple years and we have loved every minute. The instructors are great with the kids and communicate perfect with the parents. The gym is always clean and cared for. The adults that take classes are very supportive and respectful, especially to the kids. It is 100% the best spot for martial arts in Orlando.

My experience with Gracie Barra North Orlando is incredible. I’m learning from the best instructors in Florida! Professor Gutty has helped me in not just Jiu-Jitsu but life lessons. I’ve started 4 years ago with the intention of doing Jiu-Jitsu as a hobby. However, once I started I knew it would change my life; I now compete. Currently my 12 and 9 year old daughters train just from witnessing their Dad train. This Academy inspires you. There are no egos; just a group of experienced instructors and students who are humble and welcoming and always helping! So everyone is comfortable in learning. Ill give you the short version of my first year experience training jiu jitsu and muay thai at Gracie Barra North Orlando. I have learned to stop using my strength and allow the techniques to do the work for me. The jiu jitsu is taught in great detail and each move we learn has a purpose which will tie in with future moves that we learn. Everything being taught has its purpose. I quickly fell in love with jiu jitsu due to the fact that one lifetime is not enough to master every single aspect of the art. The muay thai is just as fun as jiu jitsu. Working the bag, thai pads, and sparring with an experienced eye watching me has taught me a lot. The coach has a great eye and has taught me how to think to find opportunities. He has also shown me several weaknesses or bad habits that I have in certain situations. These guys really know their stuff. Its been a 5 star experience here not only because the teachers are great, but also my training partners have been a great help in learning each technique. Its a very humbling environment to say the least.

I have been training at Gracie Barra North Orlando for a decade and there isnt a day that goes by that Im not grateful for the experience that Professor Gutty and his staff provide. The level of instruction is second to none and the amenities that this 2-story facility hold are extremely impressive. Not only can you learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from some of the worlds best instructors, but the academy also offers Muay-Thai Kickboxing, has a full weight training area and a separate crossfit room as well. Everything is under one roof including 2 shower facilities. Its also probably the cleanest gym Ive ever been to and the people who train there are some of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of training with.
