They offer the courses in both, English and Spanish! I have applied to several jobs and I’ve already done several interviews. Thank you so much for your help!

Very nice when I called for info about a program. The price is very reasonable I actually like the school. To the ones that have attended / graduated from this Academy is it accredited? *update* I contacted Fldoe to find out if this Academy is accredited, I was told no its not accredited under the U.S director If that doesnt matter to you then you should still attend. The Academy is affordable & the schedule is perfect, but I would like to attend a accredited school/ program.

I studied phlebotomy and had a good time with students & instructors learning it is very fast paced and hands on from day one but that’s what makes it fun. Only thing I would say is for Spanish only speaking students is there is no material in Spanish so u must speak fluent English to understand. Passed my test! Very thankful :)

I didn’t learn anything & within 3 months I was there we had 3 different teachers which all thought something different from the other. The school is very unorganized. You go from one subject to another & give you a test without even had been taught what’s on the test because your classroom is mixed with other students that are either more advance or behind than you.

Don’t study Phlebotomy or Medical Assistance. Their is no jobs opportunities. Please don’t waste your time and money. The school will never help you to find a job as they promise in the beginning. After you pay every coin and finish your program with good grades and excellent skills they will tell you is on you to find a job. Which is very difficult because in Phlebotomy and Medical Assistant you NEED to be recommended by the school.

This school is not worth your time and money. At first I thought this was a good school because you do learn, but they do not help you find a job like other schools do. I would recommend going somewhere else where they will actually help you get a job so you can at least get your money’s worth.

This is one of the best academies that I have found, everything was fast pace and easy to understand. The staff was amazing. Damaris Alvarez is an amazing professor, very professional and helpful! All of the instructors are well equipped to teach and definitely focus on their student’s success. It helps prepare for the NHA and gets you ready for an interview! Don’t be afraid to call. The front desk people are always ready for for your questions!

I took phlebotomy 5 years ago in a different school and taking the phlebotomy course for refreshers. I started the Phlebotomy course three weeks ago and I must say, this school is prestigious and well organized. They provide both English and Spanish, which is great because I need to refresh on medical terminology in Spanish. The phlebotomy teacher is amazing and constantly reminds us of the ultimate important aspects clinical care for patients and our exams. Our teacher is an RN and always teaches real-life situations in the class. We have two portions for the class lecture and labs. The facility is well maintained and always full of supplies when you need them.

FHCA is a great school. The night phlebotomy teacher Mrs.Marcela Fish was the best teacher I’ve ever had! She had so much patience with me & really explained everything thourghly. Mrs.Fish made sure I understood & helped me gain so much confidence with furthering my career as a phlebotomist. I am grateful for the payment plan & for the helping hand offered from my teacher. I really couldn’t have done any of this without Mrs.Fish!

If I could give no stars I would!!! I was scheduled to take a licensing exam here and the evaluators are horrible. I drove maybe 3 hours to get there to be turned away and the woman threatened to dial 9-1-1! For what??? Cause she claimed I had an attitude! They dont even know themselves what requirements are needed to test! Never again! If you need a testing site... choose another location!!

This school is excellent. The teachers will help you on questions you have to get you ready for the state test. I took CNA and Phlebotomy at this school and I learn so much. The teachers will also explain it in Spanish for those that dont know English. Also the ones that dont know Spanish will even learn the language. They will have practice tests for you to practice the questions for the exam. The practice test is highly recommended because it help me pass the written part for the CNA. You will have hands on practice for the clinical skills. For the phlebotomy test you have so much practice questions to do, so that you can be prepare. Everyone at this school is helpful and very nice.

I took the phlebotomy course offered at FHCA. I learned so much in only six weeks. You spend half of the day in a classroom learning concepts and terminology, and the other half of the day in the lab learning practical skills. The classroom portion of the course gets you ready for the national exam. The teachers are so helpful, and the class is small so you get a lot of one-on-one instruction. I finished the course feeling very confident in both my conceptual knowledge of phlebotomy and my practical skill.

I took phlebotomy, and got certified. Been applying everywhere nonstop and no place would hire me because I have no experience. They dont help you find jobs wich is what most schools do. Not even for volunteering. Wasted time and money. DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL!!!! Better off going to a real college where they send you out to do an externship and get experience. These people just want your money.😠

I took the Phlebotomy course at FHCA and I loved my experience. Even though I live about 40 minutes away, I didnt mind my drive to school every day because I loved going there. The teacher is the sweetest and coolest teacher I have ever had in my past schools. Shes very hands on and loves to help her students become a great Phlebotomist. The school is also great and they help out with payment plans so youre not feeling stressed out financialy. I would recommend this course and school to anyone who wants to be in the medical field.

I had the BEST experience at FHCA. I recently finished my phlebotomy course. Professor Damaris was one of the best teachers I have ever had in my academic career. Her outgoing personality and loving heart made the class so much fun. Her knowledge of Phlebotomy was amazing and she put everything that she had into teaching us. She taught our lessons at a good pace and made sure that all questions were answered by the end of class. In the lab she was 100% available to help or to guide us if needed. She took her time to demonstrate each draw and made sure we completed our requirements by the end of the 6 weeks. Because of Professor Damaris amazing outlook the 6 weeks just flew by. I am so very greatful to everyone at FHCA (Bella, Blue and Marisela) for everything. I am ready to start my new career. If I ever want to take more classes in the healthcare field I will make sure to return to FHCA. Gina Wilson..

This place is the worst, very unorganized and the proctors are horrible. They are bitter old ladies who have no idea what they are speaking about. The air was broken and we had to sit in this rundown building for 7 hours. Worst decision I have ever made. DO NOT spend your money here, go somewhere else to become a CNA.

I love this school. I was taking my CNA test here and i asked what other programs they had and now im almost done with my PCT! The staff is amazing, the instructors are great. The phlebotomy teacher is an RN, the others are doctors. They really know what theyre doing and its really great! The best part about it are the payment plans, they really try to accomodate to your needs, one week i couldnt make a payment and they helped me out and arranged a whole new payment plan. That was super nice. Also, they dont waste your time, i did phlebotomy in 6 weeks when in other schools you dont get to do lab work and its twice as much time. Its fast paced and it works.I would definitely recommend FHCA to anyone who wants to be a healthcare professional.

First of all, I would NOT recommend this academy to anyone! Please READ and do not waste your money.I am posting this review anonymous because Im a former student of the academy. You do learn and practice a lot, but the academy is UNSTRUCTURED. Teachers dont follow a syllabus, there are always new students so old students get behind, you feel that you are loosing your time and money. Books which are pamphlets are NEVER ready. Some students started classes without a book. However staff is nice and teachers know a lot and share their experiences. Also they speak in English and Spanish.Yo have to pay $700-900 depending on the course you choose. In addition you have to pay the CPR and the state boards exams extra which most students thinks is included in the tuiton.Another thing is that there was a contest and they were giving away a tablet to the student that got more likes on a review on Facebook. The winner is a sibling of the owner/director and when I went to Facebook to look into the post to verify her likes, it was deleted. VERY VERY SHADY.I have a lot more to say. Go to Kaplan university or other place.

Building and interior displeasing physically. Proctors are very slow and disorganized. They tell you to get here 30 min early just to wait for another 3 hours until you can begin. Me and 4 others spent over 6 hours here for a test that took less than 30 min.

It has been a unique experience so far. After 28 years of having finished my time in college, I decided to study and GAD could find a place where I felt comfortable and could learn. Apart the price of the course is modest and they give you the opportunity to pay in installments. It has been a challenge for me, but with Gods favor I will achieve it.Thanks to the teachers, (Pijuán and Figuera) for their dedication and patience with their students. To Blu (Blue), sorry if I didnt write it correctly, for your cordiality. And finally, but no less important to my partners, we are 6, but we have coupled very well and I feel that I already have more sisters. Success for all.
