FCC is the best school that I ever attended with great teachers.

I believe the instructors and staff want you to succeed, however, the parent company is really about financial gain and the education is below average. First of all, theres the tuiton. I can only speak to the Medical Assistant program. You will be charged $25,000 for a 9 month Medical Assistant program. Some of the tuition can be paid for with federal student aid, however, the remainder is paid with monthly payments far after you graduate. Most medical assistant jobs range between $12-$15 an hour. The education is not worth $25,000 and thats IF you get a job after you graduate. I was shown a movie the third day of class and we learned nothing. Students constantly interupted class. Class didnt even start on time- sometimes 45 mins-1 hour late. I was rushing from work to get to a class on time and it didnt even matter which is unfortunate for a college that supposed to be getting you ready for a career in the real world. Valencia Community College and other similar programs offer a 6-9 month program for about $5000 which would be in a much better program, better education, and employers would much rather hire from a program at Valencia vs a program here.

DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR INFORMATION!!!!!I gave them my information 6 hours ago in hopes of being emailed some information, they called immediately from their main number once I submitted my information, which I ignored. One minute later they called again from a Deerfield Beach area code, then they called again from their number, and again from an Orlando number, to which I answered and could get no information about who was calling until I hung up and called back and they answered “Florida Career College”. On that call I asked them to refrain from contacting me and hung up. I get another call an hour later from their original number, and this time I wasn’t as polite as I had been and let them know it’s getting to the point where it constitutes harassment. It’s been 15 minutes since the last call, and I figured I should warn anyone smart enough to look at the reviews. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION!!! I will be recording all future calls from this point on, in hopes that they will either stop or build my case further.

This whole school is a scam. They tell you one thing and really it’s another. Please if you are looking to advance your career go to another school, the credits do NOT transfer to another school nor do you receive an actual diploma. It’s a certification they’ll tell you it’s an associates degree just to get you to start and get your money. They lie to you from the very beginning and honestly I truly regret coming to this school. Some of the teachers are great and actually want to see you succeed. I repeat DO NOT COME TO THIS SCHOOL.

SCAM ! SCAM ! SCAM !If you have signed up do yourself a favor and get out while you can. If you are doing monthly payments while in school it’s a scam. Once you finished the program yes you can walk if your payments are up to date. But you wont get your diploma. Til the school gets all their money back that financial aid doesn’t cover so leaving you to catch up with $3,000 to $4,000 to pay in order to receive your actual diploma. This school only cares about taking money from you not actually seeing you receive what you deserve I have others go to other technical colleges and not one of them has you pay for diploma. AGAIN GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN IT AINT WORTH IT. I finished the MA program paid my monthly cost off was told I was ready to walk and receive my diploma the 25th if this month. But can only receive my diploma once the school gets their $3,000. It’s a dam rollercoaster with these people. NOT WORHTH IT TRUST ME my other colleagues went through the same thing til this day and graduated last year still not able to get their diplomas.

If you didn’t do your work, nor fought to make it happen for you and expect the school to do it for you?! That’s the first mistake done! Because that’s on you! In any school you go to including FCC you have to be sure to use the resources. The resources are there. If you come into this institution or any other institution expecting they are going to do it all for you, you are bound to fail.This is a college devoted to the students and consistently seeking great success for them. My overall experience in Florida Career College has been one I will never forget. I went there with a closed and negative mindset in the beginning but once I started again, the experience was so much more different. If you’re looking to really start a career, come to this school. My instructors have been so good to me. You will need a lot of patience and I can honestly say I learned that here, because you will face a lot of challenges with the environment itself. As for the class, if you set your mind to succeeding then that’s what you’ll do. The instructors give you all of the tools you need in order to graduate. Now it’s up to the students rather they really want to use their time wisely or not. Do I think admissions needs to work on who they stick in the school, most definitely. But, if students focus on the environment rather then focus on the actual reason as to why they started to begin with than you won’t succeed. The staff is so sweet, and the school provides all kinds of help if needed. They help you find a job if you’re unemployed, they help you fix your resume, they also help students that don’t have a high school diploma, take classes and get one there while they work towards getting their certificate. This school has so much to offer and isn’t given the credit they deserve. They clearly have things to work on, but what school doesn’t?

So initially I went there of course looking to sign up for classes and everyone there was really supportive and acted like they cared so I started signing up. Went home and thought abt it the cost was like 21,000 and I can go to a different school for like way cheaper. So I told the admissions lady krista that I was reconsidering. Once I said that the you can do it attitude completely changed. She even blocked my for whatever reason lol I was just telling her why I was reconsidering. Plus I saw all the bad reviews and don’t want to set myself up for failure. Glad I didn’t , seems the reviews I was reading were right. JUST DONT DO IT

First, I belive in private post-secondary education. I was a memeber of the state association for years. This company does not put students first, nor does it treat its employees and faculty with respect and dignity. The parent company IEC stands for financial gain and not the true education of students.This campus at one time was a good place to learn. If a college requires the faculty to call students each day they are absent, then are we educating adults? Should faculty be punished for a student taking a day or two off? Should the faculty be punished for the failure of a high pressure admission teams 30 minute interview for a 30k debt?Look at the number of leadership changes. Its not a school problem, its a Culture problem. It starts in Irvine, CA. Dontlet a book written by one good man and one with power of persuasion and connections steer your decision.Dear Future Student,Walk away. Pause. Investigate. Make a slow informed decision. Get educated on education. Not a TV commercial that sells you on a program. If you feel its for you, ok, but commit 100% to success. This is the best school. I tell all my friends and family about it because they really do just want everyone to live their dreams.

I was very interested in attending. However, after inquiring online, I started getting nearly 10 calls a day. I called to kindly ask not to get as many calls, but that I was interested. Before I finished the lady said very rudely Ill take you off the list. And then hung up before I could tell her I was interested, but just wanted fewer calls.I cant take this place seriously after that. My interest is gone.

I go to Florida Career College in the day time and I love it. I went to Valencia last year and didnt feel like the people there really supported me but here they do. They always say hello to me in the hallway and always ask me about my day and its the little thing that matters.

I am a current student. I am giving the school 4 stars out of five, because there is always room for improvement some where. The staff I have encountered are extremely people friendly and Career Services has been pretty great at helping students become employed. I have read all of the previous comments. What I have seen so far has been a bit overwhelming. As some students really take their life choice for granted, are very disruptive and disrespectful to the instructors . I have also seen some students take full advantage of their options at the school and come back to thank the instructors for their assistance. The instructors really care about the students that attempt to move forward without all of the high school behavior that occurs with some students. For me this is College you want to be treated like an adult, behave like one. come to class, participate, do your work, and if a situation arises. Talk to your Instructors, they are human just like you. This previous sentence is told to every student upon orientation. The school is what you (the student) makes of it, just like every school out there. Nothing will be given if you do not work for it. I give Kudos to the Staff for all that they do.

Currently a student in the IT class. The class is a waste of time because the teacher doesnt listen, wont answer questions, and moves on to a new subject, even if you dont understand. The classes are supposed to be smaller so you can have more direct interaction and learn more but its garbage. The college says they will help you find job placement but the only subjects they help are business and medical. If youre reading this, find a different school.

I listed a single star only because its the lowest rating allowed. It is chaotic at best and completely mismanaged and incompetent. The administration are there solely for a paycheck, they will not follow through on any of the promises that they sell you at admittance. I am now a proud owner of a massive student loan and very little to show for it. The reviews you see from current students are encouraged by the instructors to give good reviews. Now some of the instructors are wonderful, I feel for them because they are in a precarious position. Their jobs are on the line for attendance and the reviews are made at school on their computers during school hours! The administration pushes this and is done every 3-4 months, so dont be fooled. I graduated and passed my state registry exam and still months later I can not get the certificate because they have yet to send my Transcripts to the AMT. Tell me, how hard is it to fax a document correctly? Several phone calls, went to the school myself and the DOE was to handle it personally that day, No, it never happened!! 3 months later, still nothing!! These people will never do right by you, seek out a different institution! I truly regret my decision in coming here. Be forewarned!!

The teacher i had was amazing! I learned a lot from him when i could... But it was really difficult for me and my classmates to learn because every time there is a medical problem in the school (every little thing), they pulled him put of the classroom and this happened more than once a day. We only go for 4 hours a day and he was in the classroom for maybe 2 hours a day or less. Now, when it comes to time for externship (im a medical assistant), they fail to reassure you that they will help you find an externship place. Instead they literally only say to go to them when you have FOUND a site. No help at all. This school isnt very professional and the externship process is ridiculous and unnecessary.

*****SCAM!!!***** If I could rate this a ZERO star I would. I regret ever going to this school. It was a waste of $20,000. You get teachers that don’t teach so you pay for $20,000 books. And if you make it to finish through all the messed up things that happen at that school you don’t even get to walk at graduation if you’re unable to pay what money you owe them. They play favorites. The school is super ratchet. Students will do drugs on campus and drink. Some of the teachers would too. You complain to the school about major problems that could be potential lawsuits and they just sweep it under the rug. The turn over rate is crazy. The school can’t hold onto staff long enough. This school only cares about your money and not about your education.

The school is desperate for bodies just so they say that they have x amount of people. They also have an extremely high turnover rate because its not a good environment and people leave left and right. These peoples admittance depended on me grading their entrance exam. I took a lot of flack anytime someone didnt pass that test, like its my fault. Mind you, I had to curve peoples scores so they could fulfill all they promised these prospects. And I felt for these people too. All of them, lied to. Because people werent passing, the airhead of a director let me go. 2 people failing that test in a day is not good. I only lasted 4 days. No room to adapt. People, youre getting ripped off. Stay far, far away.

Other than some of the amazing teachers that was there I don’t recommend this school anyone when I say the rip me off in so many ways it’s crazy they will let anyone in that school just to say they have people..and take your money . 3-4 months into my program we didn’t have a teacher for the night class so everyone was basically doing there own thing !!! Then not to mention they have a high school diploma class there !with Brookshire International Academy but PLEASE don’t waste your money or time getting that high school isn’t accredited so is basically can’t use it anywhere !! Which is stupid I don’t why FCC would partner with them and set people up for failure !!!! If I could give y’all a 0 I would !!!!

Do yourself a favor & save yourself the headache. I enrolled in this school thinking it would be a great turnaround. I was absolutely wrong & I should’ve definitely looked up reviews prior to enrolling. The entire staff is a joke LITERALLY. They do not care about your future only about the money they take from your pockets. I was told I had a 14 day period if I wanted to back out of my schooling AND once I decided i wanted to back out because of my work schedule and how unpleasant this school was, the admissions team is totally avoiding my phone calls and visits! I’m past my grace period and now I’m left with a 20k+ loan. All I can say is stay very far away!

I graduated as a Medical Assistant from this school ! I am really tired of people saying negative things about these schools. FCC is a GREATTT school. This isnt high school anymore. This is college, if you dont take time to do your work you wont succeed. That is that. Nobody is going to hand you your career in a silver platter. I have been really successful after graduating from this school. Ms. Kim and Carlos, Mr. Forbes were AMAZING instructors. I found a job right before graduating. They have a really good and concrete system on how they do things. Dont let these little comments from people have an impact on your decision to attend this school. I passed with ALL As. I was very motivated and set on what i wanted in life. You can either whine about how the teachers dont do anything or actually take whats in front of you and do something with it. This was my second time trying with this school I told my counselor that I wanted to wait until classes were back on campus and she didn’t hesitate to tell me to turn in my stuff and be done with the school

Terrible, Terrible, Terrible school to go to. Very unorganized. Teachers get you confused with other students, effecting your attendance. This attendance is tied to your graduation, of course. So when they confuse you with other students then you are not allowed to graduate and are forced to repeat classes you have already taken, to increase your attendance percentage. All counselors just want their commission bonus. They sell you a great and wonderful idea but it is executed very, very poorly. HVAC program was 16k before but now its 26k for the same 2k program you can get down the street. Career services dont care who they employ you with, they just want that commission paycheck. The head of the High School Diploma Program, Dr. Dun, is a complete joke. He is extremely rude, very unprofessional, and will lecture you about how he is doing better in his life than you. The only benefit was the tools they give once you complete your Certification. Save your money and go to an actual college.

We cannot blame everyone for other peoples mess up. My four stars are given specifically to two people who made my time there worth. These two AMAZING individuals go above and beyond to make sure their students are okay. They are Ms. Reyes, and Dr. Suris. Certainly, there is a MAYOR lack of communication from administration. WE THE STUDENTS who worked really hard, and took this career serious, deserve to be informed about OUR GRADUATION changes. Not just leave us on limbo, and ignore emails looking for answers.

I am currently enrolled in the night time x-ray program and have only been there for 2 almost 3 months and i have to say this is the WORST STRUCTURED SCHOOL I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!! with in the 2 months i have been there i have not yet to actually finish a class my first two weeks they started a new mod and tried to move me with a new teacher this did not work out and i ended up staying with the same teacher not even doing my class due to she could not teach two classes, so i was doing the same work and tests they were doing then. then when i started my second mod they added a kid who was about to graduate who was learning the spine he needed so much extra help he came in at 4 30 and took up class till 9 for 2 weeks then changed my instructor , this was not a problem but i did have concerns how is she going to teach me what i missed since i dont know what else i was suppose to learn and on paper it states i finish and passed the class!!! now a week before my finial they had 8 new kids come in because the other x ray teacher who by the way she didnt even pass her interview but they hired her because they had no choice they needed an instructor the second day she decided to go on vacation and the 8 students are now with us when we should be learning and studding we are not because she has to teach them I CANT STRESS HOW HORRIBLE THIS SCHOOL IS i even went and talked to dean the director anyone i could and all they had to say was your just mad we changed your instructor and didnt bat another eye at me and my 2 other class mates. this school will pass kids just cause they dont wanna deal with them and i quote from an instructor Im just gonna pass him so he can get out of here THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THE STUDENTS ALL WE ARE IS A PAYCHECK TO THEM WHEN I AM PAYING 25 GRAND!!!!another review since it will not let me do two FCC only cares about attendance!! I have been a student of FCC since April. Now the way there grading system works is weekly and then at the end of the month the grades average out. The first week got 100 on everything but missed one day due to being sick and received an 87 for the week. Now i knew in order to get the grade i desired i would have to get 100 for the 3 other weeks. week 2 got 100 week 3 got 100 week 4 got 99 MY AVERAGE ENDS UP BEING FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH AN 87 how is that even possible i got a 97 on my final and passed everything that entire month with a 100 but i missed one day therefore i received a B for the month. Now mind in other classes i have missed a day or 2 and my grades never dropped dramatically like this. SO YOU COULD PASS EVERYTHING BUT IF YOU MISS ONE DAY ALL YOUR HARD WORK MEANS NOTHING!!!! i have tired to speak to someone and the responds i get is its the system!! now i know 87 means i passed with a B but its the principle.

Simply Amazing!

Save your time and about 40,000 dollars of your money. They are really good at selling you on the dream and before you realize it your 2 months in and have seen zero return of the money you spent. Everything is disorganized, the system is beyond a joke. They got you dancing between instructors; once you and the class has become a custom and comfortable with each other they send you off to advance class. If youre doing the hvac program you get about half of the actual hands on time they say and they have you working on old, hand-me-down systems that broken beyond repair. Dont even get me started on the break system, security guards and financial aid system. Dont make the same mistake a lot of us made. Go to an accredited and save your self the headache. Oh, and dont forget even after all the money they Rob you off you still have to pay 75 bucks a month. Its absolutely not worth it there re other routes to take to get into the hvac field.

I went to FCC Orlando for just a tour of the campus and classes. My tour guide was admissions Mr. Ray. Right away when I walked in it was a negative environment. People were standing outside and inside as well playing around. The front desks attendants were rude. The security guard saw us walk in and continued to talk to them so I was acknowledged after her conversation. I took a tour. It was clean. The teachers were nice. But it felt more like high school than a college. Mr. Ray tried to sign me up for everything when I didnt want to but he insisted. When I told him I was looking at other schools. He down played and talked very negatively about them. Saying ratings were low, school was dirty, and they didnt have kits etc. Even had coworkers and students add their opinions. He was upset that I said I would call back. After I went to the other school I did call back..to tell Mr. Ray I found 10xs better and that I found him, and his school unprofessional. What my school offered compared to his and that he should be ashamed of himself. I wouldnt recommend FCC for anyone unless it is their last resort

I so miss this school.... My time there was well spent.... I miss the teachers and all the great fun I had learning and making friends.... I pray that this school always be the best there is...

With the new staffing and policy changes that have been going on, I can say Im proud of this school for doing everything its doing for the students. Also so proud of the staff who are driven by student success.

This school discriminates against white females. My significant other had an interview scheduled as an Academic Adviser at the West Palm Beach Location, and the interviewer never showed. We flew in from Michigan to do a round of interviews, and scheduled it to fit in. She immediately got a call from corporate who said they would call and reschedule the interview. They never made a call back. This place is a joke, and not accredited.

I just made the mistake of requesting information. Over the next five days I’ve received almost hourly phone calls, emails and text messages from numerous different people. I made the mistake of having a conversation with one of then who became aggressive when I was not answering my phone during work hours.Maybe it’s not a scam but I’ve never experienced this sort of thing with any other higher education establishment.

I graduated but could not attend graduation due to work. I called them and asked about getting my diploma! They said I cant get my diploma until I pay my student loans which was in the thousands and I still dont understand how!! I graduated in 2016 its 2018 going on 2019 yet no diploma!! I given them lowest score!! Due to the fact that everthing I have listed above I am still paying for my student loans for a PATIENT CARE TECH PROGRAM! That I could have gotten done for $250.00! My fault on that should have looked around first. I have made several attempts to get my transcripts and I keep getting the run around. Beside all the negative things the teachers I had were cool and very helpful however none of them are presently wroking for them.

Every since I started this school I love it. There’s always something happen for students and they care a lot about the students.

They were almost shut down and accreditations were almost revoked by the Obama administration and the U.S. Department of Education over concerns about the quality in 2016 but the decision was undone by Secretary of Education DeVos and President Trump in March 2018.This school is a For-profit private school. You WILL pay at LEAST 15k in student loans if you go here and chose the MAT program… if you’re lucky enough to get the pell grant. If not, then you’re looking at 21k. And good luck getting a job with this “certification”, if you apply to any reputable hospital or clinic outside of the jobs FCC provides you, you won’t be taken seriously THEY WILL LAUGH AT YOU!!! Employers are looking for people from Robert Morgan, MDC, or any other regionally accredited school. And GUESS WHAT? Both MDC and Robert Morgan are CHEAPER than this load of c*ap.Check the gainful employment disclosures on their website, they are required by law to have them. And remember folks, don’t let yourself get tricked by these false promises. Good luck!

I am currently enrolled in this school and all the negative reviews I have read seem to have no truth from my experience. They are well mannered, my Professor is Dr. Suris and he is awesome. He cares more about the students then the paycheck provided. I have learned so much in his class. I am glad I do not have anyone else. I pray he stays my teacher all year. Thanks to this school I will have the career I always dreamed of.

My brother is a 20-year Navy vet that this college screwed. For the first nine months of attendance (April 2015 - December 2015) they never applied with the VA for the 9/11 bill, even though he explained what they had to do (very basic instructions). The school finally applied the 9/11 bill from January 2016 - February 2017, but the school has failed to take care of the first nine months. This lack of action caused him to lose his home, because the VA would have provided him a living stipend during those nine months. It has also decimated his credit rating. All because Barbara (Registrar) and others wont do anything and never return his phone calls! What a way to treat a veteran. And to top it off, they STILL havent mailed him his diploma!

I am in the xray program and should be done with my program by august or so. I have to say it started off rough for me because i came in on spine and had no clue of anything. My instructor was not that much help as she had her own issues. My class and i were then left without an instructor for a weeks. Within those few weeks Mr. Hill was there to help us along with his class. He is an awesome instructor. Within time we got an instructor named Ms. Brisinte who i absolutely love she is an amazing teacher and FCC is lucky to have her. The only downfall with Fcc is that they need to get a little more prioritized. But other than i am happy to be a part of the school.

Irony of the experience, was that they advise me, the enrollee to handle things professionally due to my means of trying to not buy into this school. lol. cowardly ppl in charge of this institution. no offense. ill say this with upmost confidence to back up my pride.my first college to enroll into was this one actually for the sake of pursuing post secondary education. these schools has its means of providing the right ppl opportunities that benefit the individual but financially, id be skeptic. for your moneys sake.

Great school, with amazing instructors!

I have paid for services before a another beauty school and have had a great experience. Unfortunatelly, this was not the case this time. Poor customer service. Salon was basically empty, yet I waited 25 minutes to be called in even though I had an appointment and arrived 10 minutes prior to scheduled time. Place was poorly kept. The poor student had no clue of what she was doing. I tried to overlook a lot but it got to the point that I had to ask the student to stop what she was doing. I feel bad for her because it is not her fault but of her instructor placing her in a situation she was obviously not trained properly nor prepared to handle. I had booked a mani/pedi and a facial but left after the pedi. I was not about to risk my hands or my face. Before I left, I asked who I assume was the instructor at the front desk for the unused groupon. She said she could only give me a credit but I told her to keep the money. I will never go back.
