This is a great spot to go get your hair cut. Maybe even your nails done. Im now a client and I go get my haircut by Makayla about every 3 weeks, but even before that I was a student here. The staff is all very friendly and the students are great stylist. Definitely check them out.

I’m so grateful for the Milan Institute. I couldn’t find a local non-profit that was doing free haircuts for the homeless population at the moment but thought I would try here so I called and was given a next day appointment for one of my clients. I am a social worker and it is truly a gift to have kind community members. A refreshed look boosts confidence that is often lost when in a difficult situation. Thank you to everyone there.❤️❤️

This school is amazing!There is so much help and guidance if you just reach out and ask!I have been here a while now (life made be take a break) instructors are helping kind and always willing to teach! Even if you don’t get it the first few times !Not always easy but everyone here is really there for you like a family 🤗💕

We had the most rejuvenating experience today getting facials and pedicures, my techs Ashley and Cindy doing a facial and French tips their first times, both were superb and just as good as my experience at a higher end spa, and less than half the price! We will definitely be returning to try other services, would recommend to anyone who wants to beautify and treat themselves!

Great instructors, very professional, front desk is very helpful and overall a great school to get your cosmetology license and the phase 1 instructor BECKY is amazing

Went in on a saturday to get mine and my sisters hair styled for a wedding. Maria did both of ours a whipped it all out in no time. Our hair was beautiful, and the price was amazing!!! I would definitely recommend asking for her for styling!

This is an amazing establishment run by the very amazing raven. She has created a beautiful clean and wonderful place of education and the nail tech instructors are the absolute best teachers I’ve ever had

So I have been looking at different schools for awhile now, and reading some of these reviews especially about not being able to find a job after graduating I dont think thats the schools issue at all, thats a YOU issue. I personally had a great conversation with Alexa about the Aesthetics program, even me not wanting to start till Feb or so she was super personable and really relatable. I think shes a gem and if the rest of the staff is as sweet and funny as her then I wouldnt believe all these comments. I had conversation with Redken in town that offers this program, and I want to come to Milan. I have gone into the campus for nail service before a few months ago and lost one star because I do think the school could use a few upgrades and the nail tech stations were really used and outdated compared to the other schools. But thats not going to affect my want to be there. Thanks to Alexa for helping me make up my mind!!

I went there this evening and it was the most wonderful experience,Ive never felt better about my hair, colored so perfectly Oh my goodness they did such a great job! I cried I cant wait to go back.

When in for a facial drove 1hr to be turn at the door by Becky and said not today because I had my daughter with me after the receptionist told me my daughter could be in with me I told Becky I didn’t have anyone to watch her she was very rude with Attitude very unprofessional I will be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau

The staff & students at Milan are professional & positive. They provide excellent service at affordable prices. I have gotten facials, gel nails, spa pedicures, haircuts, lowlights & deep conditioning services at Milan with wonderful results. I highly recommend this school!

I came in for a gel pedicure but it was absolutely awful. The student was nice but that was the only good thing. I came in with gel polish already on my toes and it took her over an HOUR to file all the gel off by hand. She said they didn’t have drills so that is very inconvenient. They also don’t have actual gel polish here and only have shellac in probably 5 colors. I settled on a color but was very annoyed at that point. My appointment was at 6pm and I left at almost 9pm. Extremely slow process throughout. To top it off the shellac polish all started coming off within 1 week. I understand this is school but I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Chelsey cut my hair today and it looks SO GOOD! I had a very general idea about what I was looking for and she was able to make it into a cut that was exactly my style. And the instructors were there to check in and help out. I had a great experience!

Students are great,instructors are rude. She disagreed with what I wanted and while she was just telling me her opinion it wasnt friendly. Then another instructor mixed toner and after my bangs and sides were grey/ blue. She assured me its just super blonde. Nope, its actually grey/ blue. Asked for barely a trim for my daughter on ends and layers. Student doing fine, instructor comes and cuts an inch on layers! My daughters crying,had to tell her more than once to stop cutting her hair. I was super uncomfortable the whole time and everyone acted like I was a rude customer.

My favorite when need quick mani or deep conditioning for my hair. Or touch up had 3 back surgeries 1 shoulder surgery so the past year I needed a little help. Plus they are a block from my house. The students are well rounded with their skills.

I got 1 set of gel acrylics worst outcome ever there is not one nail without a huge bump in the middle plus little indents everywhere and I got whit and sliver nails when I left the place and went in the day light my white nails have smudges of dirt and brown and fur in then and 3 of my nails are missing paint on the sides and the sizes of my nails are all different my first thought was to run to another salon and have these removed instantly wish there was 0 stars option and to mind u this took 3 and a half hours when any other place could have been done in an hour maybe less the student was nice but had no idea what she was doing when I asked for gel there was only 5 colors to choose from just awful and after all was done my nails where sticky for the whole two days I had left them on

The students are really nice and do a good job but they dont have the supplies they need to do the work

My acrilic nails are flat they have no curve. And they are not profeshional they were cussing and just rude not reccomended

I got my nails done friday and the paints coming off already, the nails werent fully painted, there is still lumps of acrylic under my nails, and the paint looks like its coming off in bubbles
