My daughter has been in the same daycare for 4 years so I was nervous when it came time to transfer her here. It ended up being the best decision for her, she adores her teacher Ms Summer and is excited to tell me all about her day when I pick her up. The front desk staff are super friendly and helpful. They’ve taken all necessary steps to keep the kids as safe as possible during this pandemic, I’m very impressed.

My 4 yo (pre-K 4) and 2yo have been at the school nearly since it opened. Weve tried other schools with the 4yo and never been so happy as we are with the Lighthouse. My kids are excited to go to school each day. The activities are so engaging they come home talking about them. A sample of things theyve done: growing plants from seeds, puppet story time (extensive puppet selection pictured form one classroom), yoga, normal recess/outdoor play, play pretend center, building center, the list goes on an on. My 2 yo is starting to read books to me at bedtime - this is directly bc both our family and her teachers have invested time in fostering a love of reading. The school administrators are wonderful - always present and available for questions, greeting the kids, etc. Could not more highly recommend this school. They have after school care for school age children as well, and summer programs that looked really interesting.

Our son started going to Children’s Lighthouse Harvest Green at 3 months. Any parent knows how hard it is to leave your infant with someone else, but the staff here have been absolutely wonderful! My son is now 17 mos and has been in 3 classrooms now. I love how they let the children be children (toddlers), with a little structure and curriculum. They have also handled everything seamlessly amidst the COVID pandemic, and keep the facilities clean and neat at all times. I would highly recommend!

This daycare is wonderful! The staff is the sweetest as well as how clean the classrooms are. Learning is number one at this daycare also to have fun! Big thumbs up for Children Lighthouse.

We absolutely love Children’s Lighthouse in Harvest Green. The staff and teachers are amazing! My son is excited to go to school everyday and every morning runs into the building happily, no tears here! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a safe and fun environment for their little ones.

To be completely honest I didnt want to switch my son to this daycare, but had to due to school zoning. When we first started we had a rough week, but every concern was quickly responded to or resolved. Then school began and this amazing staff took on the responsibility of assisting in the virtual education of my child. They have been incredibly responsive and helpful during the time of uncertainty. The entire staff is extremely kind and accommodating. Today my son didnt want to leave because he was having such a good time. I would highly recommend this facility.

Our One-year-old was very hesitant to get started. The staff was super helpful and patient with us as we transitioned her from home care to daycare. Super friendly and accommodating. Have visited a few other daycare‘s and this one was easily the best.

Children’s lighthouse in harvest green is the best. My daughter loves going there . The teachers and staff are awesome there. They always communicate well and have great lesson plans for the kids . Definitely would recommend them to anyone who live in harvest green.

I love that they are so close to my neighborhood! Beyond that, they are so responsive, nice, caring, and fun! I get pictures throughout the day from the teachers and notes in my daughters bag when she comes home! She lights up when we pull up every morning and I know she has so much fun and learns so much every day!

I love working here. Nothing compared like working at any other daycare. ❣

My 7 and 3 year old just started in July, but we are loving it so far! So clean and bright... Everyone is friendly and warm... My kids felt comfortable right away! I love the structure, and all of the updates that I get throughout the day. It is also a really nice bonus to be able to peek in on them throughout the day!

My 4yr old has thrived since being here!! The warm nurturing environment along with the amazing teachers he’s had is the largest contributing factor!! He loves going to school and as a parent that allows me the peace of mind I need knowing he’s in great hands!! Every single person there exudes a love and kindness you just don’t find everywhere!! They genuinely love children and it shows!! They are always coming up with creative ideas to entertain the kids, but they also have parents night out for the adults!!! This summer the parents night out allowed my husband and I to have a much needed date night!! It’s little things like that which make them not only a daycare facility, but a staple in the community!! They support families and we love it here!!!!♥️

Me being a new employee the communication of management was horrible. I have years of experience and they paid very low. They will pile children on top of you because they don’t want to hire anyone else to close. I felt very discriminated against... I was getting compliments from the director from my first day and on the day that she fired me. Her reasoning on firing me was because I was being “negative” but I was genuinely voicing a concern and trying to understand the whole process since I was new! I just wanted to make sure communication was clear from then on out but she threw a temper tantrum and said I was being negative but an hour before than she complimented me on being great in the classroom. She also did not have a sit down conference with me regarding anything I may have said that could’ve possibly been taken wrong.

I like childrens lighthouse to take care of my kids and for my kids to learn n flourish well. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by warm smiles and such hospitality by owners and staff. The cameras and daily reports are very good feedback. I can see they love and care my little ones. Dont have to pack food either. Healthy lunch n snack options. My 5 year old loved reading books in the gym during book fair. Thank you and wish you success.

Great place for my kids to learn and interact with other students. The director and owner of the place always greets me with smiling face.The teachers are very supportive and gives feedback at the end of day during pick up. The school is very neat and clean inside and all of the staff is professional.The best thing I like is the summary report of your child the school sends end of the day. I wish them all the best and continue do the great work you have been doing.

Such a great school! The front staff is always friendly and welcoming. My daughter is in the 2- year old room and loves her teachers. The teachers are so caring and patient. I love all the activities they do with the kids and I love getting updates via e-mail throughout the day showing me what my daughters is doing, what shes eating and pictures of her. She is learning a lot. But more importantly she is always happy to go to school. This is a school worth touring. Once you meet the staff and teachers youll see that its a great place. We moved our daughter here in April and have been very happy. The teachers and staff are great! They do all kinds of art projects, learning skills and have fun play time. Most importantly my daughter has food allergies and they provide her food and we have had no issues. I was very worried but they have been able to feed her and keep her safe everyday (thank you Ms. Linda). It is brand new, very clean and lots of shade in the play area... check them out! Also, I get pictures everyday of what she is doing... love that! Very happy so far.

Our little one started in June when she was 4 months old and I had to go back to work full-time. As a new mom I was so nervous about leaving her at daycare. I thank God we chose Children’s Lighthouse Harvest Green. Not only is it super close to home, but the staff are beyond amazing and make me & my child feel so comfortable. They were patient and helped her with the transition when she first started. It gives me such peace when I drop her off and she’s smiling and happy to see her teachers. I’ve seen her grow and develop so much in the last few months. I love that I can see her on the camera and check on her anytime. Everyone is super nice! All the administrators and teachers smile and greet me every morning and afternoon. One of the things I love about this Childrens Lighthouse & why I chose it over others is how clean & organized it is. I also love that they do teaching even in the infant classes. The teachers are really good about giving updates and keeping me informed. I also love the Tadpoles app so I can see her feedings, naps, etc. I’m able to still stay connected to my child and know what’s going on even though I’m not there. Highly recommended!

My 3 year old daughter has been coming here since they opened and she loves it as much as I do. All the ladies that work here are so nice and truly create a connection with your kids. Also my daughter has learned so much from her short time here. Im impressed and just sad she couldnt come here sooner. I definitely recommend this childrens light house.

We love Childrens Lighthouse Richmond! The teachers and staff are wonderful! My son has already started talking more and I love seeing the updates I get from his class - definitely makes this momma feel more at ease!

We absolutely love this daycare for our son! This is our second daycare and theres no comparison. Tuition is reasonable in comparison to others in the area. We had our first school function and my parents had a blast with their grandson. His teacher is so kind and works well with my Hulk. Plus, we get a daily report at the end of the day with photos 🥰. I would absolutely recommend this place. Plus, the kids arent snotty or crying all over the place. You can definitely tell theres instruction and order going on here.

We moved our babygirl from The Learning Experience in Richmond to this school because it closed down. We were so sad when this happened, because we absolutely loved that school. EVERY SINGLE DAY, my daughter and I were greeted with love and smiling faces; they called and greeted my baby her name. It’s not the same here, I don’t feel that warm welcome and we are never greeted that way. I believe this helps us feel wanted and connected to the school. (Little things like that go a long way) .The teacher in her class also forgot to feed my child breakfast a couple of times after 8:30am drop-off, even after I mentioned it to her, and she assured me she will feed her. Thankfully there is a new teacher in that class and things seem to be going fine. Nonetheless, we feed her breakfast at home to be on the safe side. Still a little guarded, but so far things are going fine. A plus about the school is it’s always very clean and the manager addresses any issues you have immediately.

I cant say enough good things about this facility and its staff!!! We had a bad experience with the first daycare we chose so we were hesitant to take our son back to a daycare. We did a TON of research and interviewed with multiple daycares and Im so glad we chose Childrens Lighthouse Richmond!!!! The teachers are the best!!! To me it doesnt matter how great and new the facility is, what matters is how kind and gentle the teachers are with the children. The teachers at this location are kind, gentle, and patient! My son literally hugs his teachers every day when hes dropped off and when we pick him up! Dont get me wrong though, this location is super nice and new!! Their playgrounds are all covered, they have a splash pad, a basketball court, and a space for activities like soccer and such. I know Im probably missing something to mention how awesome they are but I hope this helps anyone who is trying to decide to enroll your child here. We love it here!!!

The staff is always smiling and welcoming to the children and parents! The place is always clean and the food they serve the children is better then the average cafeteria food.

My feelings remain the same as they did almost 18 months ago...When you walk in the door you are greeted by an awesome quirky decor, a hotel/restaurant style menu display which tells you the balanced meal for the day...DID I MENTION the playlist you hear is awesome , met by a caring and wonderful staff from the director - to the- assistant to the staff of tremendous teachers. The day care is clean, the curriculum so far has enhanced my little ones knowledge. They are always quick in response and eager to correct an issue you observe. They are open to your ideas and are never abrupt with your concerns. They also go above and beyond to create activities for family outside day care hours. So far, the whole operation is top notch! Enroll your kids, you will be happy! My My grandchildren can not wait to get to the facility And Arp set when I picked them up early. A most of all appreciate the empathy that is shown in any situation that you share with themWhile still remaining professional. Of course nobody is perfect no facility no business is.... They welcome your criticism and try to rectify.

Our infant was in this daycare for two months (July-Aug 2019). We were sad to leave because we love to support local business owners but we felt the quality of care was not what we expected. We had countless issues surrounding all aspects of care and eventually we grew tired of being frustrated. We also thought no one on the staff ever built a meaningful relationship with our daughter. It seemed to us that teachers would turnover and be shuffled around too quickly. I was super hopeful the issues could be resolved. Unfortunately, we did not see any improvement and felt it best to try one another center in the area.

My son loves being at school because of his loving teachers and delicious food! We love the daily pictures and updates on his activities.
