Manchester is honestly not nearly as bad as some people are making it out to be. Like every school, there are teachers who are better than others that some students love and some hate. Nothing we can do about it. Its VERY diverse and I love that. Most of the teachers Ive had have been extremely helpful and have spent lots of time with each and every student to ensure that they understand the information. My only complaint is that sometimes CBG is a little more privileged in the way of treatment and punishment amongst teachers. I would definitely recommend this school if youre looking for a diverse and challenging educational experience!

The teachers at this school speak to the children condescendingly, disrespectfully , and degrading. They do not encourage students who are not CBG. The classes are unruly and they are barely learning . Often my daughter comes home and says she has to teach her self a new subject because the teacher doesn’t help with there curriculum. I feel like the teachers just do not care about teaching or encouraging the children. My two oldest daughter went to this school and now my younger one goes there and the teachers are still the same. There were some teachers that were so inappropriate and it seem to take an act of god to remove his man.

This school is great tought me how to record fights and how to eat better pizza with better ingredients papa johns. Dont get in honors they make you try to act all goody two shoes. When there is a fire drill i hope their is a real fire.

My child is in 6th grade & very bad experience here.. went from honor roll student to c,d & f student. Very poor communication with administrators you have a few good teachers but they really dont communicate with the parents about what is going on with the child. If the kids have any type of problems at school with other students there solution is suspension. Very ghetto school & teachers really dont try hard enough to keep kids safe from bullying.. need to be rezoned & updated the ac never work.. second thoughts on why I sent my child to this school & really considering pulling out this school for next year!!!Very concerned Parent

Ive made a ton of friends here and most of the teachers are great, but dont take spanish 2 or 3. She told us that her first year teaching spanish she was learning it with her kids... as she taught it. If that doesnt say it all I dont know what does.

The pizza is made with better ingredients, so it is better. Water bottle flipping is basically illegal. This school is rotting and if there is a fire let it burn so it can be rebuilt.

How good this school is really depends on what you call good. Sure it needs a few repairs, or a lot of repairs, or an entire renovation. But most of the teachers are decent to acceptable , and the entire 7th grade CBG teachers are great. The CBG program is a great thing going for this school.

My name is Bella Thorne, and this is the story of the time I found out I had dyslexia. I remember when I started first grade. Right away, it was awful because I couldnt read as well as the other kids. My brain mixed up letters like b and d and m and w. Dyslexia is different for EVERYONE who has it. For me, it just made it harder to read or write. I started working really hard on how to read better. My family helped me by making me read everything from menus, to cereal boxes, to road signs. Today, I read a year above my grade level. And I learned to face my problems, not run away from them. Dyslexia makes things hard for me but, not impossible. You just watched a TTI, on Disney Channel

The restrooms are really dirty and there are a lot of mean teachers. The 7th grade CBG teachers are really nice though. There is a lot of fighting. ITs been three months and Ive already personally witnessed 23 fights. Follow Thomas instructions and stop taking Ls and dont play yourself.

Its okay. Ive been here in 7th grade for about 2 months. Theres already been 3 fights at lunch though, including one where we were told the boy may be charged for domestic violence against a girl. Its not the safest, but the good kids are nice enough. Took my CBG test today, though. It wasnt bad. You probably know who I am if you know me from school.

Its alright the teachers are cool and all. Why are so many people talking about Papa johns im so confused.

Alot of bullying/fighting going on in this school!! When I tried to speak to principal friel about my nephew being bullied and how it would get resolved, she totally ignored me and turned the attention on to why he needs to leave his hood down on his shirt even tho you see my nephew has been crying and thats why he had his hood up. When I went into the cafeteria to get my other nephew to leave the school, these teenage girls were talking about me and Im an adult. I also witnessed some of the front office staff talking to kids very rudely(yelling). Seriously this tells you what kind of school it is and how its being run and Ive only been in it 3 times now. Dont send your kids to this school!!!

The Teachers are really repetitive and some of the teachers treat you like 6 year olds, as do the visitors. Other than that, the school is fine and the CBG program is great. The lunches arent bad but they could be better. I suggest Pizza Hut or Papa Johns. Ok so this school is really ghetto, i went there for a semester and dropped out of this school, and ended up going to tomahawk, tomahawk is really white and preppy. Its a good school, 11/10(tomahawk, not Manchester)

Good school but the food is gross and tje lighting is dark . The lockers in the science hallway are all dirty and the 6th grade hallway is really crowded during the class change. Also the round building is really congested during the 4th to 5th block change

I was in the CBG program and these three years were very different from what I was expecting. I loved all the CORE teachers to death; Mrs. Ozmores ice cream, the fun activities we participated in with Mrs. Newman, Walton, Sanders and Parks. Even Mr. Andersons Civics and Nationstates. These are all of the pros (excluding my wonderful friendships I have created and still am in contact with today) but there all always downsides. First off, why do they have flat screens in the cafeteria when the school needs major re-doing? I understand if they were donated but money could be better spent on other projects to make the schools atmosphere an inviting area. I also do not like that the classrooms make you feel trapped with little to no windows in a few of the rooms. It doesnt set a good mood for learning. Lastly, the teachers all need a physical ROOM. Not a trailer or relocated to the courtyard or auditorium, a room that cannot be taken over by SOL testing. I have also heard lots from my younger sister who goes in the program about the unfair dress code which should be slightly improved, but still fair to be appropriate. I hope you address any issues listed and overall, the community is great but the setting is very displeasing.

So let me start off by saying that I only went here for my sixth grade year of middle school and it was probably one of the worst years of my life I hated it I got bullied so much that it got to a point where I considered cutting myself and I had suicidal thoughts almost every day the only thing good about this school were a few teachers that helped me through it and really cared there are fights everyday and I barely got by to get to class the food was ok but not the best I only had a couple of friends and the CBG (center based gifted) kids constantly made fun of me for not being as smart or privileged as them after sixth grade I moved and went to midlothian middle for my last two years of middle school the kids that say five stars I assume would be CBG or popular because I cant understand why anyone would think Manchester is a good school

I personally was in CBG. So I cant really speak for the comprehensive kids Judging by all the rest of the reviews and how they cant spell basic english words or use basic english grammar, I would say it sucks. But I loved all the CBG teachers. I do not think there was too much work. I mean if you didnt want to do work you shouldnt have signed up for CBG.
