St. Catherine’s Lower School has been the absolute best experience for our family. The faculty knows my daughter and her schoolmates individually — it feels that all aspects of her education cater to the whole person. My daughter feels like a vital participant in her educational process. The academic curriculum is superior, and the value system is inherent in everything. Additionally, there are many opportunities for my daughter to explore. It’s a wonderful school.

My girls have loved their time at St. Catherine’s. They enjoy their classes, teachers, friends, community and sports. As a parent, I appreciate their rigorous courses and their attentive teachers & coaches. More importantly to my family though is the support of and focus on the “whole girl.” St. Catherine’s works along side our family to help raise happy, healthy girls who will become active and productive global citizens.

St. Catherine’s School offers girls ages 3-18 an outstanding well-rounded education in a nurturing and family-friendly environment. St. Catherine’s offers a vast array of classes from Economics to Classical Literature to Digital Photography and Yoga in small classroom settings. This allows children to receive personalized attention while learning. I highly recommend this school.

Enrolling our daughter at St. Catherines is one of the best decisions we have made for her. She is incredibly happy and wants to go to school every day. The teachers and staff at this school are amazing, supportive and nurturing. I would not want her to be anywhere else, and I am confident she is getting the best education at St. Catherines. The fact that this is an all-girls environment has been such a positive, and I have watched her leadership skills and self-esteem flourish at this school. We have been here two years and have no complaints. I highly recommend this school to any parent who wants their daughter to receive a top-notch education in a nurturing environment filled with teachers and staff who truly care about your childs well-being and all facets of her development -- academically, spiritually, socially, physically and emotionally.

My 10th and 7th grade girls have thrived in St. Catherine’s all girl environment and taken advantage of the school’s many opportunities. Both play numerous sports, dance with Joni group and have participated in plays and art activities. They have benefited from the nurturing environment and talented teachers. Our daughter has been a Lower School student at St. Catherines for 3 years, and we could not be happier. The schools focus on educating girls, the high caliber of the teachers and staff, and the warm, welcoming community have all made our experience at St. Catherines a wonderful one. When we moved to Richmond 3 years ago, we looked at many different options - both public and private - and were thrilled with our choice. Our friends with older daughters at St. Catherines say great things about the Middle and Upper School experiences as well, so we look forward to many more years at the school.

St. Catherines has been the perfect choice for our daughter. I literally cannot say enough good things about it. The investment of the teachers and administrators in getting to know your child is incredible. Our daughter absolutely loves learning as a result and looks forward to going to school every day.

I thank God for blessing us with the opportunity to have our daughter educated at what I consider the best private school in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Diversity issues are daunting but youd be hard pressed to find a better academic environment. My daughters vision for her life was instilled in her, in part, by her nearly 13 years as a student and as a boarder during her high school years. Now, she actively participates as an alumni board member and she truly treasures and appreciates her St. Cats family, as do I.

I have two daughters at St. Catherines, one in 1st grade and one in 3rd grade. I can honestly say they LOVE going to school. They get up literally every morning excited about school and they both love their teachers. That school has girls figured out, whether they are doing some spectacular dance performance or a science experiment with gummy worms and glow bracelets (which my daughter has done both). The school cultivates a safe learning environment without distractions. The chapel is centering and teaches them about giving back, kindness, respect and other attributes we want our children to obtain. When we moved here five years ago, as a mother, one of my biggest anxieties was finding the right school for my children. I can without a moments hesitation say that St. Catherines and St. Christophers were the best decisions we made when we moved here. We have had such a positive experience and look forward to see the future!

Our daughter came to St. Catherine’s in the 8th grade, and her experience has been nothing short of fantastic. The learning environment is so welcoming and inclusive. The consistent message from faculty is “thank you for trusting us with your child’s education- we are so glad that you are here.” This positive energy sets the tone for our entire experience. Our daughter has always been a hardworking student. But the incredible depth of experiences and resources offered, combined with the empowering atmosphere of the school, are clearly promoting leadership qualities. It is evident to us that she is thriving in the all-girls setting, and she is much more willing to be assertive, take risks, and be herself. I’m sure there are many great academic programs to choose from in our area, but seeing our daughter develop into a confident leader… we could not ask for more. The amazing list of extracurricular choices- many sports teams to choose from every season, dance, theater, music- it really can’t be beat. We are also amazed at the group of girls in her grade- friendly, kind, out-going kids. We’re so grateful that we chose St. Catherine’s (and they chose us!).

My daugher is in 3rd Grade and LOVES going to school. She absolutely LOVES her teacher. She says her favorite thing about St Catherines is her teacher. What more can I ask for. (Other than uniforms - smiles - I would LOVE it if she didnt spend time thinking about what she was going to wear the next day to school. So many other things to think about. What matters is on the inside - not the outside. I went to an all girls school - Holton Arms - and had uniforms - and it was the best thing - never worried about what to wear - too much else to think about - like winning the game, or info for exams.BUT - LOVE the school and what it offers my daughter.Julie Kerr

My daughter has attended St. Catherines School since Junior Kindergarten and she is now in 7th grade. The JK program got her off to a wonderful start, building on her love of learning. The friends she made in JK are still some of her closest friends. My husband and I are so impressed with the quality of education she is receiving--she is challenged yet supported and the faculty members have taken time to know her as an individual. I highly recommend checking out St. Catherines!
