I 100% do not recommend this place unless you are looking for somewhat of a swimming boot camp for your child. My 3 year old was in the level 3 class for her very first class and it was a traumatizing experience for both her and I. I regret ever trusting this place and regret listening to them when they told me to let the class end before getting her out. Swimming is a scary experience for a lot of kids, even for adults, and they should be eased into it, not submerged repeatedly underwater on their first day after the child expresses not wanting to do so because they were scared. Confidence should be built, not forced upon. I would give this place a negative star if I could as I now have to undo the trauma they caused for a hundred or so dollars. Never again.

The staff is awesome! I have witnessed some of my girls swim coaches move up to admin roles and do just as well if not better. It is truly a place where kids can develop a love of water and swimming!

Absolutely awesome place for kids to learn how to swim! The coachs take the time to get to know their students and cater to their needs. My daughter has been attending for almost three years and was able to swim on her own at 4 years old. Highly recommend for the safety and fun of swimming!

Everyone here is so friendly and they are always flexible about last-minute reschedules. The teachers are all really great too, and they seem to be doing a great job with safety procedures. Would prefer slightly longer class times to make it worth the drive/time/effort it takes to do it.

We are very pleased with Aqua-Tots. Our daughter’s instructor is very patient and all the staff are very friendly. They are constantly walking around and cleaning and actually enforce their mask policy which I appreciate. Our daughter looks forward to her class each week and her skill level has improved tremendously in just the six weeks she’s been going.

Teachers are amazing! My kids look forward to swim lessons. Class sizes are small, so it feels like private lessons. Would highly recommend!

We have been very happy with Aqua tots! The staff is always pleasant and what my daughter is learning is such an important life skill. Im very impressed with how they have handled the pandemic and the new procedures make me feel comfortable continuing our attendance.

The staff goes above and beyond to assure a good and positive experience for both the children and parents. They are very involved in building a safe environment and community. Not only are they a swim school but also strive to engage the children and parents in fun activities like offering birthday parties and seasonal festivals. I feel confident that my son will graduate a strong swimmer based on his progression. I like the lesson structure as skills are taught based on real life situation to reinforce routine that becomes instinct and build on those skills within each level. They also instill confidence in children and concentrate on weak spots through repetition within the class level and offering one on ones or fast track. We like the environment and the structure. Each instructor we had outside our sons regular instructor is great with kids and confident in their own skill level. Observing training new instructors, I can say that the senior staff and master instructors take training of new staff members extremely serious and not just do it over one day period but use multiple days to assure quality. The facility is packed especially now through Fall and that speaks for its own. We like it and we highly recommend it.

I really cant give Aqua Tots a more positive review. I enrolled my son (5) in a weeks worth of private lessons at this location, as we were only in town for Spring Break visiting my family. The Morgan family worked very hard to accommodate our short schedule. He took lessons twice a day and both of his coaches were amazing! Caring and knowledgeable, patient and kind. They had him swimming by the end of the week!! The facilities are immaculate and they have teaching swimming down to a science! I saw children of all ages and abilities enthusiastically going into the pool. It really was an amazing experience!

I have been taking my grandchildren to Aqua- tots for almost 3 years. I started their swim lessons for safety reasons but have enjoyed watching them grow to love the sport. They have a very specific and wonderful plan for teaching. The staff is very professional and well trained. They are all excellent with children. The facility is spotless. Communication is excellent as well. Couldnt be happier!

My daughter has been in classes only 6 weeks and I can already see an increased confidence in the water. The front desk is very flexible with scheduling classes and changing to different days and times. We signed up for Saturdays initially which were chaotic and soon discovered that my daughter prefers weekday classes. At first I was skeptical that she wasnt going to get much out of her lessons since they are only 30 minutes and with 4 students that does not add up to a lot of one on one interaction but I was wrong. I think she gets a lot from watching other students and all of the coaches have been wonderful, shout out to Jack and Madison.

My daughter has been taking lessons from Level 3 (age 3) to Level 5/6 (age 6). I really appreciate the business model of this teaching facility. Being a former year-round swimmer, lifeguard, pool manager and swim instructor at a country club, I am happy about the structured curriculum and quality of the instruction that my daughter has received. It is student-centered. I like how the lessons are limited to four students per teacher which (most of the time works out to two or three). The management is personable and strives to be helpful with all kinds of needs that we have as a multiple kid family. The facility is kept clean and safe. I have recommended this to many of my friends and neighbors. We love it!

My five years old grandson has been attending Aqua Tots Midlothian for over two years. Through the superb and highly professional training, his swimming techniques and his water safety and survival skills are remarkable. Every instructor that he has had were world class. They are attentive and nurturing, but most of all they are friendly and caring toward all their students. My grandson enjoys coming to his swimming lessons and have nothing but high regards for all his instructors. Likewise, Aqua Tots staff members are very friendly, professional, and accommodating. Ill highly recommend Aqua Tots to anyone that has a child that needs to develop their water safety and survival skills.

I love aqua-tots for my son, he started at 7 months and has been attending for two months now. I really think it is helping him even at such a young age. The coaches and staff are all super friendly. We will be continuing lessons for a while and even use them when we have another child

Weve been going to the Midlothian location for almost a full 6 years. Cant say enough great things about the 4 kids to one instructor ratio or the filtration system in the heated pool. They also have great family events. From the front desk staff to the instructors, this place is great.

It works! Our son has been attending the school at the Midlothian location for almost a year now and the progress hes made has been incredible! The instructors are very good with the kids and the staff is amazing. The additional events like swim meets are fun and another way to get kids involved. We have no regrets and definitely spread the word! The peace of mind and investment is worth it!

Taught my son who had no trust in learning from me in less than two months. My daughter is also building confidence in herself and trust. She asks me every day if she has swim lessons that day. The teachers are awesome and positive. It has been a great experience for us.

My two year old and five year old are both enrolled at Aqua-Tots and love it! The instructors are amazing!! We went in for a makeup class today and my daughter did not have her regular instructor, Darnell who she loves and when we left she said she had a tear stuck in her goggles because she missed Darnell! They make learning water safety and swimming fun and exciting!

Aqua Tots has been a great experience for our family, teaching an important life skill to make pool and beach time much more relaxing. We have done fast track, private, and group lessons and seen leaps and bounds in our childs swimming skills from all. The staff is great and helps overcome any fears the children have. Highly recommend and worth every penny!

Love the staff, very helpful, and my daughter cant get enough of it. This is a great program for getting kids comfortable with being in the water. The classes are small so I feel she really gets as much attention as possible. Definitely recommend

My daughter has been coming here for less than a year and I am pleased with the results. When she arrived she was comfortable in the water as long as she could touch bottom. Now our lessons involve fine tuning stroke techniques. Because of our busy schedule we have been forced to move lesson times around and therefore she has had many different instructors. All have been great.

My daughter has been going since January and I can see how much progress shes making each month! The staff is very attentive, welcoming and friendly. I love how you get a photo up on the board when your child graduates from a class level. Our instructor Ciaran is great. I can see how much my daughter enjoys the swimming and how shes not afraid of water and thats just the most important!!! Definitely money well spent.

Both of my children have gone through the program at Aqua-Tots over the last 2.5 years. The teachers do a great job of differentiating their instruction within each level to meet the needs of each student. We have been pleasantly pleased with the progress our children have made in the classes. Thank you for teaching our children safe practices to use around bodies of water!

Our family loves aqua-tots! We signed our 2 yr old son up after summer was over. He had loved the pool but couldn’t hold his breath well and would swallow water. It took him a little while to adjust but really enjoys it now.

I am grateful to Morgan Family Aqua-Tots for teaching my youngest child to swim! My 3-year old has been taking lessons at Aqua-tots for over a year and at the Midlothian location since it opened last Spring. We have a swimming pool at home, so water safety is a huge concern for me. I am delighted with my childs skills and comfort level in the pool as we head into swimming season. My child has had a great time learning to swim and developing swimming and water safety skills at Aqua-tots. All the instructors we have had (both for weekly and fast-track classes) have been terrific with their technique and ability to handle children. The facility is impressively clean, well-appointed, convenient, and comfortable for both students and observing families. The Morgan Family and their staff are friendly, cheerful, and incredibly experienced teaching children to swim. Our experience at Aqua-tots has been fantastic in every respect. I recommend Morgan Family Aqua-tots to anyone looking to learn or develop swimming skills.

Aquatots has really helped my 4 yo son to overcome his fear of the water. Even the bathtub used to be a place of tears, but now, he is at home and very comfortable in the water. He is almost swimming independently now, and a large part of that is due to the Fast Track private lessons he has taken here. He has had several instructors, and they have all seemed very caring and professional. They genuinely seem to like working with the kids. They have a very regimented teaching structure, which my son likes - he always knows what to expect. There can be a lot of noise / commotion in the pool during certain times, but if you mention your child needs less stimulation, the staff will work with you to find a time thats not as busy. The play area is key for parents that are coming with other children... Really helps to keep them contained and entertained so the parent can observe the child taking the lessons. I gave only 4 stars instead of five due to the expense of lessons here - you can get private lessons for cheaper at area gyms, etc. But our son does seem to make progress here faster, so we plan on keeping him enrolled!

After the first lesson, my daughter was able to go under water and hold her breath at 8 months old. Now at age 2 she can pick up a ring from bottom of pool and hold on to side of pool and pull herself along the pool wall to the steps. Highly recommended if you are concerned with water safety. She loves going in the pool but she understands water safety.

They waste no time teaching skills. I was amazed at what my daughter learned her very first class and how quickly she progressed during the rest of the classes. The instructors take advantage of the 30 minutes and the small class sizes ensure that each child is learning and engaged the entire time. I had high expectations starting classes here and my expectations have been exceeded!

Weve had great success here. The instructors are so good with the children, and the teacher student ratio 1:4 works really well. My 2 1/2 yr old LOVES going to swim class.

We’ve been coming to Aqua Tots Midlothian for a month now and our daughter has learned so much. She’s 7 months old and we are getting her ready for the pool this summer. Aqua tots not only teaches swim techniques but safety as well which is so important for infants and toddlers around the pool. By the third lesson they already had her submerging in the water! I love that they have lessons for all ages and abilities. My husband and I enjoy bringing our daughter here every week!

Weve been going to Aqua-Tots on and off for three years. I love how they focus on life saving skills. Ive tried other swim classes and no one focuses on that. If you want your children to be safe and learn about water safety first - this is where to come!

Really good instructors, a bit chaotic environment & pricing is steep. Really need to be able to afford 2x/week to really get the best return. Being able to take different age siblings can be tough if classes are not at the same time. Would be great to figure out a way to accomodate sibling classes/pricing.

Weve been bringing our children to Aqua-Tots for a couple of years and are thrilled with their progress. The instructors take their time with each child, focusing on the ability to stay and get out of the water safely all the way to learning how to swim. They have moves like chicken, star, rocket making it fun for kids to learn life saving skills in the pool.It is important to note that the classes are set up to 4 children per session and at times it can be disruptive if there is a crier or a splasher in the group, but for the most part instructors handle it.Be sure to talk with Becca, the manager of this location. Her passion for swimming comes through in every conversation. Shes welcoming, friendly and always greets us with a smile, as does the rest of her team.I have and will continue to recommend Aqua-Tots!

Both of my kids have had great experiences here. Its wonderful to see them progress. With a focus on safety and the principles behind the techniques, children are able to learn quickly with confidence.

I had put our son in various swim schools in the area with no luck so I tried Aqua-Tots when it opened on the Southside. I am so glad I did! He started with a 2 week fast track and at the end, my son was safe in the water and had a lot of confidence. Once he got his picture taken, he asked when he could go back. I signed him up for lessons (2x/week then 1x/week during the school year) and he has improved every week. I highly recommend two lessons a week if you want your child to progress quickly. Once a week maintains skills and they sill improve, just at a slower rate. I highly recommend Aqua-Tots to anyone who wants their child to learn how to swim correctly in a safe, fun environment!

We love Aqua Tots! We started with private lessons for my daughter and transitioned to group lessons. I cannot give enough praise for the exceptional staff, especially Coach Stephanie!

Excellent! My daughter Audrina has been swimming at this location for 3 years now. Even when we moved closer to the west end, I decided not to switch her because of the awesome staff and the great support they give all the kids here! Their big smiles and kind words are a plus too! They really know what they are doing and the techniques they are showing the students. I come from a family of swimmers and because of Aqua tots help with teaching now my daughter is able to swim with us in our family pool with out me having the mom jitters. You guys are all awesome!! You deserve 5 stars!!! Coach Genisis and coach Emily are amazing. Thank you all for your hard work and patience :)

My three old started here about a month ago and he has very bad seperstion anxiety. The instructors are very patient with him and he improves a little more each week. My 7 year old started a few weeks ago to strengthen his swim strokes and within two classes he has finally been able to master breathing during freestyle. Very impressed.

My son has been taking swim lessons sonce August and I couldnt be happier with the results. He has no more anxiety with swimming. I highly recommend Aquatots!

AMAZING - My three year old daughter has been taking classes at Aqua Tots since May 2013 with no prior experience and to date is amazing. She accidentally slipped into the pool recently and didnt panic; when she emerged she rolled onto her back and swam to the side. Her father and I were so proud that not only can she swim at age 3 better than any other child we know her age but we now know that if she ever did get into trouble her instinct is to do a roll over. We plan on staying for years to come. The staff knows the children by name the instructors are understanding and caring and the facility is clean and taken care of. What more can you ask for!!! :)

Till now all its good. This is the 3rd week and so far the experience is good.

Our family does lots of activities around the water and we needed the kids to be able to swim. I bought a book and tried to teach them a little, but the only thing I got out of that was a child hanging around my neck screaming NO DADDY… That winter, we had made some friends at our local pool and their daughter was in the same boat. But when the next summer rolled around their daughter (age 4) was jumping off the diving board and swimming?? We asked, What happened? - they replied, Aqua Tots. So we went with our 2 and 4 year old to one fast track session. After those 8 lessons, they both were jumping in, rolling over and finding the edge of the pool and the 4 year old was swimming back stroke. We do fast track over the summer and private lessons once a week over the winter and now, 2 years later, our now 6 year old can swim 50 yards at the local pool and the now 4 year old (that wouldnt go in deeper than his hips) plays in the four foot shallow end for an hour, jumping off the side, playing with pool toys and diving to the bottom retrieving rings.

Great experience for my toddler, hes been going here since he was 6 months old, and hes the become the best service out of all of his friends

Aqua Tots is a must in keeping kids safe and comfortable in the water. The staff is well trained,professional and great with kids of all ages.

Two of my children have had lessons through Aqua Tots and I cant say enough good things!! Worth the time and money!

They have no problems taking your money up front however when you are dissatisfied with their work and service they refuse to give you the refund for the unused time. I work in customer service and that is not doing the right thing.

WARNING - Do not take your infant/toddler here. There are vastly better options that wont terrify your child or fail to disclose unfair policies.Chaotic environment: BEWARE that your child will be in a lesson with up to four children and that lesson will be one of eight different classes with different instructors going on in a small pool simultaneously. That means a couple of things:-The environment will be incredibly loud and chaotic making it incredibly difficult for kids to focus and respond to the instructor’s direction. NOTE: I would highly advise against Aqua Tots if your child is vulnerable to becoming overstimulated in loud situations with lots of varying activity.-The eight tiny squares of pool allocated for each class are inadequate for learning and practicing any significant movement or stroke technique as children progress-For classes with little ones and their parents, infants and toddlers cannot hear the reassurances their parents are providing to build trust for things that are scary to them (like being completed submerged under water). This often results in one or more screaming babies throughout the entire class with the instructor’s reaction being that the screaming “happens all the time” and moving on to the next activity. I do not consider the screaming normal when I take my toddler to our quieter, neighborhood pool and practice the same techniques with all smiles and no screaming.One-size fits all, Assembly Line approach: Instructors are young and follow a very regimented set of activities for every class. In addition, classes have children that are within the same age group but at varying levels. For example, a class might include one child who is in her first week and another who has been going for several months. A child must do the same activities whether it is his/her first week or several months in with minimal modification available. If a child struggles or isn’t getting it, there is no time to practice or try alternative approaches before jumping to the next activity. This results in spending money on a lesson but sometimes seeing little or no progress because there is not enough time to work any one child through a place where they might be stuck.Deceptive Billing Practices: When we called to cancel, we were told we would be charged for an additional months membership that we would not use because they required 30 days’ notice for cancellation. This policy WAS NOT DISCLOSED to us during the sign up process and basically would have required that we cancel the membership before our childs first lesson to avoid being charged for another month. This deceptive practice basically guarantees that they will get at least $150 out of every child that tries the program even if they decide it is not a good fit after the very first class!!Conclusion: Please do not get lured by what seems like a good deal. They will snag you with what seems like a reasonable monthly membership rate and then nickel and dime you for a lot more with “required” accessories and unfair cancellation policies that are not disclosed up-front. Not to mention the fact that the environment is completely unsuited for effective instruction. You can do a much better and more compassionate job teaching your little ones to swim on your own. If you are not comfortable with that, spend a little more and go to a reputable and caring program that will teach your child at their own pace and not risk making them fear the water by forcing them to do things they are not ready for in a loud and chaotic environment that makes it impossible to build a child’s trust. They will learn much faster which will produce much better results in much less time. Our experiment with Aqua Tots-Midlothian was a complete waste of $200. Lesson learned and we will certainly warn Midlothian friends, neighbors and family not to repeat our mistake.
