My son has taken swimming lessons at Goldfish for about 1 month now and I can’t say just how much we have enjoyed the experience. The facility is fantastic the class sizes are small and the instructors are very patient and kind. They are always friendly and helpful over the phone if we need to reschedule. I would definitely recommend Goldfish!

Update: the general manager reached out to me and apologized for the situation, explaining that they do have a policy that if you cancel a trial, it cant be rescheduled however there can be exceptions to that rule and she should have been contacted by the associate that day before we were told no. She was able to reschedule us and offered us another lesson as an apology. She informed us shell be using this as training for the employees as well.My mom had put an inquiry in about lessons for my son. Within an hour she was called to book a trial lesson and then swim lessons. She did so right then on the phone, no hesitation. Come the day of the trial lesson, my son wakes up at 5am throwing up. She calls asap to let them know and ask to reschedule. Before she could barely finish saying her name or my sons name, theyre cutting her off saying theres no rescheduling those but shes welcome to just sign up for the class and pay now. They didnt have any empathy that my son was sick, nothing. Just wanted our money. I heard so many great things but this just made me disgusted.

Classes for all levels, great student-teacher ratios, and nice area to watch students develop. Clean and spacious dressing area.

We love Goldfish! I’m always so impressed with how Miss April is able to engage my 2 year old and keep her attention. Miss April is so encouraging and so MUCH fun. My 8 and 10 year old really enjoy learning new strokes and becoming more comfortable with advanced swimming. Thank you for finding ways to keep your doors open despite Covid restrictions! You’ve really given my kids things to look forward to on a weekly basis.

Great experience at Goldfish swim school. My son loves going there. I even enrolled him in two lessons a week instead of 1. Welcoming atmosphere, staff are very respectful and will assist you in any questions you have. Good people to talk to and I love their smiles.they following the safety procedures, and sanitizing everything right when the lesson session is about to end, so next group will use clean equipments, they also sanitize the chairs where parents will wait for their children. I love everything their, and I recommend this place to all the families.

All 3 of my children love Goldfish. The staff are friendly and make an effort to get to know my children. They each love swimming and are getting really good at it.

My daughter and son loves this place and so does my husband! Its clean, the staff are friendly and they take great cautions in making sure the kids are safe.

My son, Elliott, has been taking swim class at Goldfish since he turned 1. He is almost 16 months now and we have loved it! We drive down from Fredericksburg and we love coming every weekend. We feel very safe with the Covid-19 protocols that they have put in place. It takes Elliott a while to warm up to new situations but he is slowly and surely learning so many important pool safety skills. Ms. April is our instructor and she is amazing! We have had a few other instructors at times and they have been wonderful too. Everyone we have interacted with has been so kind and helpful. I highly recommend Goldfish!!

If I could give this less stars, I would. I don’t think I could have been treated more terribly by their staff. My daughters teacher was very nice however the front desk girls are extremely rude and could care less about your kids. They certainly make you aware that they do not need your business. I am extremely disappointed and I sure hope the owner of this company takes care of the problem employees she has there before it ruins her business

The students and instructors work so well together. The facility is bright, cheerful and clean!

The swim instructors are very patient and teach a lot of skills in a half hour. Kids learn to love the water and can move up levels quickly.

They’ve been great with my son and they do a really good job dealing with my toddler’s emotions. Very flexible and great hours! Also Jeff has treated my son Joseph like one of his own little brothers! It’s the cutest thing ever.

Staff were extremely rude, obnoxious and condescending. Kicked innocent children out of their school unnecessarily.

The atmosphere is great - the space is large and doesn’t feel crowded. It’s clean and as comfortable temperature wise as an indoor pool can be. There is ample seating for parents. I sometimes forget and sit behind a guard so my view is blocked but they are there for safety so that’s a plus.Speaking of the pool - I like seeing bespoke equipment for the kids - the moveable platforms are a genius touch and really help with the flow of the classes. I also appreciate the bench space on the pool deck for parents and kids to shower properly and not have to leave stuff on a wet pool deck.The classes and instructors have been great in our experience. I really like the system too - especially the way they handle drop off and pick up at the lane. Makes for an easy transition and learning moment for parent and kid.Post lesson is great - large, clean changing rooms and extra space for hair dryers is really nice. I also love that there is a play area with books and toys for those of us who have to juggle more than one kid.Front desk staff and management have all been great in our experience. The brand is cute and branding elements like the fish are really nice touches that make the experience feel fun for children and professionally well put together for adults.Needless to say, we’ve enjoyed our experiences. But the big thing is our girls are way happier than we are.

Instructors are super patient and gentle with the kids. My youngest son went from being timid and afraid every time he got in the pool, to very confident and willing to learn. My oldest son is racing through the exercises and is becoming a young Michael Phelps. They both look forward to their lessons every week. I couldnt have picked a better school for my boys! Worth every penny :)

I can’t say enough good things about Goldfish Swim School. We have been enrolled here for over a year and a half now. My son has made leaps and bounds with his swimming. Both my boys LOVE coming to swimming lessons and can’t wait for swim day! The facility is so clean, the staff and managers are so sweet and enthusiastic, I highly recommend. Goldfish has been an amazing experience for our family!

This is best swim school my kids have attended so far. I really love the flexibility for class cancellations, make up classes. All the teachers are so experienced and well trained. Both of my kids learnt swimming in less than a month or so after we joined them. I totally recommend Gold Fish to everyone who are looking for reliable swimming lessons. Wish I would have known earlier :).

Gold Fish is the first and only place for swimming in Richmond that has been up to the standard we expect. We like the flexibility and availability of time schedules to accommodate our needs. We like the clean maintenance of the pools, changing rooms, and the hair drying area. We dont know what we would have done for Arudhs swimming with out Gold Fish, as the couple of other places we tried in Richmond did not work for us at all. We went for a birthday party and were amazed at how organized, clean, and well-planned the affair was here! This is bigger than it looks from outside, and youll find two distinct areas: the swimming pool, naturally, and a separate dining and play room area for cake and letting the kids run around. The pool area is warm like a sauna, and the pool is perfectly warm as well. The pool is big but a uniform 4 feet deep. There are some really cool foam floaties, including an almost full size canoe! Several lifeguards were constantly on duty, and there are many sizes of life jackets for free use. Youll find showers and a bathroom connected to the pool. In the dining area, youll find a hair drying station and private changing rooms. There is a large table for food and cake, and plenty of friendly, helpful employees to make sure everything goes to plan. I imagine swim classes are equally as organized. Great fun for all family members!

They are on a power trip with condescending and arrogant staff to paying customers. Also did not see any cleaning going on today.

A great place for swim lessons. It is a clean facility with plenty of space. They always run on time and the staff is very friendly. The lessons are easy and productive. Highly recommend this spot to teach your little one the importance of being able to swim.

Goldfish Swim School does a great job getting young ones engaged and encouraging them in a thoughtful and positive way. My kids have both progressed at their individual pace and been wildly successful. They both love the water, and I now feel much safer having my kids around deep water, knowing that they can tread water, float on their back and swim using multiple different strokes. Our 2 year -old looks forward to swimming with Miss April on Fridays and is more and more confident every session! They share what the should be working on each session.

My daughter used to be fearful of water and since she’s gone to Goldfish she has become extremely comfortable with the water and loves the staff who teach her to a very strong swimmer each week.

Great place for learning to swim. My son and daughter have both been here for 2 sets of spring lessons to get them ready for summer. Very friendly staff and patient teachers provide a stable fear free place to get comfortable in the water.

The best place for first time in pool for a kid. Colorful pool. The staff are really friendly and make the kid very comfortable in water.

Our daughter is so excited every time we tell her its time for swim lessons! The teachers provide great feedback after each session and do a great job of helping her feel confident and successful while also challenging her each session.

I’m so impressed with the program and how the coaches meet each kid where they are in terms of ability and pace. My kids have learned so much and progressed so quickly in such a short period. It is definitely worth the cost!

Goldfish is such a happy place to build water confidence. My 4- and 6-year-olds have been loving their lessons and cant wait to enjoy the pool all summer long! Mom loves how clean the facilities are!! My girls love the post swim showers and hairdryers. We change into PJs after washing our hair and go home clean and ready for dinner and bed!

This school is truly fantastic. My daughter suffers from anxiety. She came to the spring break swim lessons and did great. However when we came back yesterday to start her first regular lesson she got scared because there was a different teacher. Change is really hard for her. As she was crying and clinging to me her teacher from the other class who was not in the pool teaching came over jumped in the pool with her and worked with her one on one until she felt comfortable enough to join her class. I could not be more satisfied with the love and professionalism shown at this school.
