Went to the adult classes here for a short time several years ago. Very good experience. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Only stopped going because I moved further away and life got busy

I have trained here for nearly 5 years. Excellent staff, great students to work with, amazing and inspiring kids program, and to top it all off, martial arts unlike anywhere else! Would highly recommend to anyone wishing to better themselves in each and every way and to have fun while doing it! Would not trade it for anything else and is the best thing that I have ever come across in my life!

Hands down one of the best 2 schools in metro detroit. Patrick Donahue is an excellent instructor who cares deeply about his students. All levels are welcome and the practice is truly for anyone. I have practiced for 26 years and can’t imagine my life without it.

The staff at both locations are amazing and the instructors really know their philosophies and methodologies, as well as making all ages feel welcome and respected. Kids in their program find joy in martial arts and the adults get hooked quick. They are truly Masters!!

I wrestled in high school but that was over 10 years ago so I was pretty nervous to get back into grappling. But the instructors were extremely patient and knowledgeable. Loved the BJJ workout. Looking forward to going back.

Mr. Donahue has built an incredible team around him and they continue to offer both an incredible physical workout but more importantly, meaningful lessons in mindfulness. When you walk through those doors, you can expect a warm and welcoming community who want you to succeed in every possible way - work, play and family life just to name a few. I have been going to this martial arts for 6 years now and it is one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. I have learned far more than just how to punch and kick, I have learned how to become a better student, daughter, and person. The things they teach you is something that you cannot find anywhere else. If I did not decide to come here lose 6 years ago, I would be a completely different person with little understanding of life and self-control.I have also met some of the strongest, kindest people who I can trust. They help me become the best I can be, are aware of my limits, and work with me to constantly raise the bar. I highly recommend this to anyone, no matter their age or gender.

Mr.Kratz is an amazing instructor. Easily by far the best instructor I ever had. The dojo is so awesome. It feels like a big family.

I’ve personally known one of the instructors for over four years in the military his passion and dedication for training himself and others was inspiring. The only reason I don’t practice regularly at this school is because I’m located out of state. I am planning a trip to get to the school for a training session soon. ✊

Both my daughter and I have been practicing at the dojo for almost 6 years, and we look forward to going each and every day. Being a woman with no previous experience in martial arts, I was a bit nervous when I first joined. Those fears, however, were quickly put to ease. Having partners, not opponents, is a key component at this dojo. Both Sifu Donahue and Mr. Kratz are fantastic instructors with incredible skills in both martial arts and as teachers. My daughter joined and found it to be great strength training that transferred to the other sports she participated in.I started practicing after a few months of watching him. Great schools are hard to find. Great martial arts schools are even more rare. You may want to join a great school like this one to learn self defense, get in shape or for your children. The RSMA is all of these things, but why most people stay is the change in themselves, not just physically, but in many of the ways we all long to improve. It can be an amazing journey. The school has programs from young children to adults and at all levels of experience. If you are looking to improve yourself, this could be the best move you have ever made.Now that the serious part is over, I have to say that studying martial arts here is way too much fun for me. I have studied martial arts since I was a wee tadpole and the RSMA is the best experience I have have ever had.
