Banners Childcare has been a great facility for me and my family. Ive had 2 kids go through the program and have nothing but nice things to say. My youngest was there from 10 weeks to 4 years old and my oldest was there from 24 months to 6 years old. The teachers and office staff were very attentive and always put me and my family needs first. I work as a nurse so i had a rotating schedule and Banners was so flexible with my needs which was comforting. There were even times I called the day before needing care because my schedule changed and they were able to have my children attend. I highly recommend Banners!!

I have only great things to say about Banners. My children always loved coming to Banners and I never felt bad about leaving them there since they were in such good hands! Every teacher that I came across was excellent and the front office staff Mary and Kristin were always so accommodating and willing to help.

One of my sons went to Banners for three years, from January 2014 to January 2017. My younger son went only for 3 months from September 2016 to January 2017 before we switched to a different day care. We switched only because we had moved, making the commute pretty long. We had no complaints about Banners and had complete trust that our children were well cared for the entire time. Our kids loved going there. I recommend them without hesitation.

I have been sending my children to Banners for over 3 years now. The office staff and teachers have been so thoughtful and caring with each of our children. They have become more like family than anything else. I highly recommend Banners for your childcare needs. They are extremely flexible and I would not know what I would do without them! Thank you!

My children love being cared for at Banners. My son attends the Pre-K program and my daughter is in 1st grade and attends the aftercare. They look forward to going everyday and absolutely adore the entire staff! We are always welcomed each morning with warm smiles and greeted by name. I feel very at ease at work knowing my kiddos are being well cared for, learning and making new friends while I am away. I would definitely recommend Banners Childcare to anyone looking.

My son has been at Banners since he was 12 weeks old. Over the past 6 years, many of the Banners staff have become family and have always treated my son like family. He has always been safe, happy, and has made wonderful friendships. The teachers use play based curriculum in each room and his growth was incredible. The teachers and staff were there to answer any questions and quickly respond as needed. They always accommodated any requests I made as a parent. The Pre-K and Kindergarten rooms and teachers are beyond amazing. He developed both academically and socially, making his transition to public school very easy. I’m very thankful for the Banners family.

Horrible came here on a visit, and there were ants in the baby’s room where they would be crawling in mid winter. Although most of the teachers seemed to be friendly the office was very rude and you can tell they had very little interest in my child and more interest and the pay, although I didn’t care about I only wanted a safe place for my baby but this place seemed to keep bringing up prices, I always witnessed garbages in the hall and most rooms look to hold about 10 kids or less very small.

Very small rooms. Their infant room is half the size compared to my sons new daycares infant room. I liked it that there were no walls and everyone could see what is going on in the infant room. Management is very strict (and with a strong attitude most of the times). They want to get each and every penny they can get from you.

Hello everyone! I wanted to write in response to the negative feedback from Scotty m and meg. I am the other parent of the children that attend banners childcare. It is so disheartening to see not only a child but third parties be put in the middle of a custody order. I have had a custody order in place for quite some time now In which not only myself, my child’s father, and banners have a copy. Sherri and her staff have done an amazing job carrying out the orders of the custody order and have ensured the welfare of my children while in their care. Sometimes tensions can rise and people can become very emotional when their children are involved. Scotty m and his girlfriend meg are friends to my child’s fathers. Everything can be misinterpreted when someone does not have the proper information in regards to a situation. I can assure you all that Sherri and her staff not only have maintained professionalism but when it comes to children and their safety, that is their number one focus. That being said, the daycare is always clean and organized. The staff and Sherri are always coming up with fun and interactive crafts and activities that not only promote children to have fun but also engage them in learning. What sets them aside from any other daycare that I have toured or have been apart of is that fact that they will go above and beyond to keep you informed about what your child is doing during the day, how they interact with other children, and any concerns they may have. They aren’t just a daycare, my children feel at home when they are there because the staff and Sherri makes them feel comfortable and welcomed.

Banners has been a god sent! My babysitter gave me a 5 day notice that she could no longer babysit so I was put in this position to find not only a daycare in 5 days but one where I was comfortable leaving her. We looked at a couple and they were dirty, dark and I just got horrible vibes. Then we walked into Banners, it was bright, clean and everyone was so polite. And better yet they had a opening for us to start immediately! Everyone there is so friendly and so accommodating. We told them we only needed monday and tuesdays and maybe the rare Friday, well her first week and my mom says she cant babysit friday so in a pinch I call Banners so see if there is anyway she can go Friday and they were more than happy to have her. I can not say enough good about this daycare and its only been a week. I am so grateful for them and Blake loves her teachers!.

I had every intention of taking my child here to be watched while his mother and I worked during the day because the location. Perfect location right down the street from us. That was, until i toured the place, but not even that, the attitude of the owner is beyond unprofessional.I happened to be there whitnessing a situation that I wasn’t involved in (during the tour), where there was a dispute between the times someone was to pick up their child. Mind you, security is very important to me and obviously my child’s well being, i could appreciate the owners concern but man, what an assumptive attitude that lady has on her. I think she might of been through a divorce or two with the way she treats men. That was one occasion, the 2nd was a completely different day when I was with a friend picking up their child and the owner, AGAIN, just had the worst attitude of anyone i’ve seen. I was in such disbelief that i actually filmed the entire situation with hopes of sharing on my review but i cannot post on here. I have shared on facebook and made it public. Please, if you love your children, do not send them here. I wouldn’t think of leaving my kid with her if my life depended on it, i do NOT want my child to grow up and be like her. STAY AWAY!Ive happily uploaded the resting face of the owner, AVOID HER AT ALL COSTS! She is the reason the place is so bad, employees are great, this lady just has a big chip on her shoulder.update* - website shows Sherri Pierpont as the owner. Ive also attached a picture for those who have yet to encounter her. Stay far away!

WAY overpriced and the staff is very rude and I question their competency. They nickel and dime you for everything and if you dont call weeks in advance to let them know your child will be on Christmas vacation and will not be there during those times they STILL charge you for childcare they are not providing. I pulled my nephew out of there as soon as I could. It’s not fair for kids to have to bounce around to a new school so save you child that experience and make a better decision that I originally did. We’ve been taking him to Carlson Child Care Center on East Main St for the last few weeks now and everything is great! He’s much happier and seems to be learning much faster. Maybe that’s just because he’s growing up so fast thought!

I would not trust this place to care for my children.Don’t get me wrong- there are (were?) some great teachers here. But management and ownership leaves a lot to be desired. It’s death by 1000 cuts - no one offense is so bad that you would want to get your kid out of there, but the cumulative effect can be overwhelming.Let’s start with the front office. Nice enough people, for sure. However, they are extremely disorganized. Time and time again they would take notes from me or my wife which would be lost in a sea of food wrappers and other loose papers on their desk - that led to a lot of frustration on a weekly basis. The office was often left unattended during the day because the staff had to cover for teacher/aide breaks. Other times, aides and random children are inside the office which made it difficult to communicate with the office staff effectively. The food they serve the children is passable, but it’s not clear that they follow CACFP, a nutritional standard that all daycare centers in the country are supposed to follow if they serve your children food. For example, I’m pretty sure that tomato sauce is considered a vegetable on the menu at Banners which is a no-no. If you do end up enrolling your child here, be sure to send some of your own food in, and maybe check to see if the menu is actually certified by the USDA like it’s supposed to be.We were in the infant rooms for our time here. At the end of the day, babies tend to get moved around to different rooms a little bit so rooms can be cleaned and the center can maintain an appropriate child/teacher ratio. That in and of itself is fine, but what I found many times was that no one would know where any of my child’s stuff was (car seat, cooler bag, jacket, etc). This made pick up something of a chore, as I ended up having to go room to room to find things that were not where I left them. It’s not exactly a great way to end your day, and many of the aides agreed wholeheartedly with me! Apparently this is a common issue with other parents in these rooms.Beware leaving breastmilk in the freezer here for any length of time. We lost several bags one weekend because the freezer “defrosted” (i.e., someone left the freezer door open by accident). On another occasion I picked my child up at the end of the day and I found a freezer door wide open. I closed it and alerted the front office, but this isn’t something you should have to worry about as a parent. Breastmilk is precious and should be treated as such!Safety wise, I’m not crazy about how they have things set up in the infant rooms. Each room has hard laminate floors with a plush rug that simply doesn’t cover enough of the floor for children who are just learning how to sit up, crawl, and walk. I witnessed a number of close calls just with my own kid who fell backwards trying to stand up. Walking around I also noticed that one of the glass doors to the playground had duct tape covering a large crack. It remained like that for some time, which is pretty unsafe. I’m reasonably sure it was like that when we left, but it’s possible that its been fixed by now.We were lucky enough to have some excellent teachers/aides who really cared for our child, so I was saddened to learn that most of them are no longer with the center. High turnover is a big problem judging by other reviews I’ve read about this place, and I can only imagine that it comes down to management and ownership. Privately, I and other parents with kids at Banners have expressed concerns about how the center is run, as we’ve overheard the owner speaking with employees in a manner that made us fairly uncomfortable. This just isn’t a place that gives you a very warm and fuzzy feeling, and that’s really a shame.

The owner is horrible, she does not have the children’s best interest in mind and she is very cold, her temperament is horrible she has no patience and won’t release kids to their parents even after showing proof and documentation, she handles situations in an unprofessional manner and throws tantrums as if she is a child herself, I would never leave my child in her care please think twice before using this facility for precious child.
