Both my children are enrolled here and we couldn’t be happier, the school is organized and well run. Vieira and the other coaches has a way with kids that keeps them focused and engaged without being over the top. The school itself has a friendly atmosphere with parents who are engaged. We definitely feel this school could be a long term choice for our children’s martial arts training. As a side note i have been involved in martial arts for many years and was very turned off by many schools for the same reason as many martial artists and none of those games exist here.

My son loves attending Viera! Professor has taught my son many skills in such a short amount of time. Beyond fighting, my son is learning valuable life lessons while building strength & confidence. This Martial Arts program is amazing. The training is superb and coaches are attentive and experienced. My 6 year old grandson has improved greatly and gained confidence and skill. Very pleased.

Its not often that you get an opportunity to train under a 4 strip black belt. Both I and my daughter train here and I have to say its been an amazing experience for the both of us. The childrens classes have a lot of participants and are run smoothly. Professor is both loving and disciplined with the kids, its a great environment for them to learn. In the adult classes, everyone gets along very well, its very much a family environment. The higher belts are always willing to help out and share their knowledge with the lower belts. Ive trained years ago back in NY and I can say this school really has it together. All in all its a great place to train. I highly recommend anyone looking to get into BJJ to come here before they look at another school, you wont be disappointed!

Ive been taking my children here since July 2018. One of my children lacks motivation. He gives up as soon as something becomes difficult, even minor challenges. He also doesnt like to listen. He is my free willed child. I have tried to help him with this his whole life. Rewards, talks, sports, everything!One day my friends posted about Vieira BJJ and I followed her daughters growth in his class via Facebook. It impressed me. We took a trial class and have been coming ever since.Professor has helped build up my children, especially the one mentioned above. He still needs some improvements but that also will come with age and more time.I recommend this Academy to everyone. Professor is passionate, kind, skilled, knowledgeable and driven to teach his students.

I enrolled my son a little over a year ago at this academy. I am amazed at the 1 on 1 attention that Professor Vieira gives to each and every one of the children at the academy. He provides a combination of discipline with fun for the kids and my child cant wait to go to class! He is extremely technical in teaching the moves and he teaches from a syllabus. We have attended several tournaments where Professor Vieira has multiple students to coach and he makes sure that he gets to every one of them during the tournaments.

Vieira Jiu-Jitsu Academy is well-run and well-organized. The school is very technique oriented, and the students are respectful of one another. White belts especially are respected and not beat upon by the upper ranks. Participation in tournaments is encouraged but not pushed on you. There is open mat time during the week to work on moves and to roll. Flow-drill rolling is encouraged.

If you are an adult that trained martial arts as a youth and want to get back into it, this is the place. Unlike other BJJ schools, new students are brought into the program gradually and at a pace they can handle. No one gets put on the mat and told to spar with a knucklehead. Emphasis is on technique, not brute force. There is great comraderie and the atmosphere is very positive, respectful and supportive. Many of the adult students started out by bring their kids and watching. Eventually they decide to join and now share something amazing with their kids. The trial program of 1 month for about $50 is perfect. You will know after a month whether you like it and want to continue. No one trains BJJ because they think its just OK. People who train BJJ do it because they love it. No amount of explaining or watching UFC can substitute for trying it and feeling what it is like.

My girls have been training here for about 7 months. At first I was hesitant to enroll them for very different reasons. My older girl is such a peace maker and artist and always want to use her words, my younger girl I thought the last thing she needed was the ability to choke people, but my husband insisted. Its amazing how grounding and balanced BJJ has made them. Thadeau is a gifted instructor who is an expert at giving just the right amount of coaching and allowing the kids to have fun on the mat while advancing their skills. My son has been attending this school for 5 years. His trainer Thadeu has been gifted to train people of all ages. Its amazing how he trains even young kids. He is very patient with them. Thadeu is able to train in a way that people are able to digest his teachings. Ive watched him train my son and now my son is a states champion! Ive watched my son compete against amazing fighters from Gracie schools to American top team and he was able to win with the teachings from this school. Vieira Jiu Jitsu is a great place to train! Thads perennial smile and clear enthusiasm for the craft make it a welcoming environment to learn Jiu Jitsu. As a year round competitor I was tremendously surprised to find they have, competition specific training. I have not been able to find this at the long list of academys that Ive trained at. Professor Vieira is the best coach Ive had in any sport Ive trained or competed in.
