We are so blessed to have found Foundation Christian Montessori Academy. Love their teaching methods my son loves going to school and learn about God’s words. The stuff and teachers are so wonderful. We are so grateful. I Highly recommended this school.

This school was a complete disappointment. Horrible communication. Teachers are seriously understaffed. NO ART and music was almost non existing. Gym class existed of leaving kids to play their own idea of soccer- every single class. Never felt welcomed as a student or as a family, only judgement. Did NOT feel like a Christian community at all.

We moved to FL from NYC and were initially worried we wouldnt find a school that offered a real education (as opposed to just babysitting / daycare) for our 2 year old that compared to the very expensive, private schools in the northeast. We were thrilled to find Foundations and the school turned out to be such a blessing to our family during our time in Florida. Their Covid policies were rigorous and no one in my sons class got the virus. The classrooms are big, bright and beautiful and by far the best we found after touring most of the daycares and schools in the area. The student / teacher ratio is low (6:1) and they provide very hands-on instruction to help kids learn independence while also building social skills. There is a real curriculum and they work through skill sets and lessons even at 2 years old, and track progress online so you can see what theyre learning. The snacks are healthy and they dont pump them full of sugar. The teachers and staff are just excellent. They really love the kids and communicate clearly and often with parents through daily updates. My son talked about the other students and teachers all the time and we saw him pick up new skills within weeks (dressing himself, potty training, singing new songs etc).  Our son really thrived in the loving, attentive, and stimulating environment and we enjoyed being a part of the Foundations Family. School administration (Heather) was very nice and easy to work with when we had to withdraw our son mid-year due to an out-of-state move. We cant say enough nice things about the teachers (Krystal, Roxann, Lynn, Megan, Heather, Mr. Nick etc). All were amazing and left such an impact on my son that he still mentions them. We will be forever grateful for such a wonderful first school experience. If youre considering Foundations dont hesitate! You wont find a better second home for your child where they will grow intellectually, socially and spiritually.

This is a wonderful place to have your children educated in a wholesome environment. Teachers are absolutely wonderful and caring with a beautiful facility.Highly recommended for Christian familys.

As soon as I walked in to Foundations Academies to tour the facility I knew it was where I would send my son. The Staff was so nice and so welcoming I immediately felt comfortable leaving my child with them. The values they teach were what I had been searching for and the precautions they take make a new parent feel safe. The first day they even took the time to call and let me know how he was doing. Which to any new mom that first day leaving your newborn with someone is terrifying. My son has loved his time with Foundations Academies. I couldnt have asked for a better school to send him to. His infant teacher was phenomenal and his current teacher is just as great. He loves going to school and I know he is in good hands. Every single staff member has been great and I know my child is loved and cared for as if he was their own. Thank you Foundations!

My two girls, Emily who is 2 and Olivia who is 5, have been attending Foundations Academy starting at 6 months of age. We know that our children are being taught what they need to start Kindergarten and more. Most importantly, our children feel loved at Foundations by all staff members. Our children love going to school each day and have a lot of fun while learning. The hours are also very accommodating for two working parents. They are open from 6:30 AM TO 6:30 PM.

I cannot say enough beautiful things about this school. From being able to walk my daughter INTO the building in the morning (no bus line horror stories) to the quick one on one time at the end of the day at pick up with her teacher... its so reassuring to have these personal touches and such open lines of communication.THIS IS NOT YOUR TYPICAL SCHOOL - Foundations is a lot more fun than your average learning facility. They have tremendous hands on & interactive learning environments, cooler lesson plans that really grab the attention of the students, a more loving and nurturing staff - resulting in WHOLE CHILD enrichment and I must say happier kids than other schools. The focus on fine arts is amazing and the end of the year show & Christmas spectacular will MAKE A MOMMY CRY TEARS OF HAPPINESS - seeing her little baby grow and share time with their little friends, doing their own thing, being a big boy or girl for the first time; and, after 7 years of enrollment with the school I have seen many of those moments.As for some of the unfavorable comments posted here, I feel inspired to respond to them, as the reputation of the school my child attends is of concern to me... Foundations provides - on site after care, holiday wrap care, spring break care and summer camp - the number of actual days fully closed is MUCH LOWER than most if not all other public & private schools in both Manatee & Sarasota County. I am so thankful for all the ancillary care that is available to me at Foundations. The calendar is published annually at the start of the school year - which provides plenty of time for planning for days off.I find all of the staff to be super at what they do. Theyre kind and REAL and honest and LOVING... When my child was 18 months old, the owner helped me identify behaviors in my child that eventually led to a diagnosis and I will forever be grateful for her watchful eyes and caring heart. Since that time Foundations has been a mainstay in our educational plan. We started after school care for social interaction and progressed to full enrollment in school several years later - they are flexible and honest with us regarding her educational needs and their abilities to meet and EXCEED THEM. I continue to have the utmost confidence in Foundations and look forward to many more years with them watching my child happily grow & flourish there.

My daughter just loves going to school everyday! She is beaming with excitement every time I pick her up! She is constantly learning and has advanced pretty well/smoothly for her age group! Plus the staff/teachers are just the best---- My daughter constantly talks about her teachers :) Highly recommend!!

We have both of our boys in Foundations Academies. One of the top reasons we chose this school is the core differences between the public and private school curricula. Here, we did not only find what we were looking for, but we also found genuine care for the children as individual persons. I can see the difference in their lives; both scholarly and spiritually. That difference is marked by a stellar staff that have the vocation to teach, guide and learn in cohesion with parents.I highly recommend this school and would encourage you to come and see for yourself.

My son attends PRE-K and I cannot recommend this school enough. We wanted a school with a smaller class size, that took an interest in our son, and we are beyond happy with the results. All the teachers have taken an interest in our son. They know our first and last names as soon as we walk through the door. There is great security. An organized check in and check out process. We are called immediately if ever there is an issue AND when there are great things he has done that they want to share with us.The owner of the school has created a special place for children and the teachers are even more special. I cannot recommend this school enough to any parent that is searching for a school that is going to give their child an education, attention, and a truly positive experience.

I was a stay at home mom for 4 years and I absolutely loved it. However, my oldest in particular was very shy, almost painfully shy so I knew that he really needed to be in school around other kids his age. After a lot of research we decided on Foundations Academy and it ended up being the best decision we have made for our kids so far. They absolutely love their school. Every day they rave about all of the fun things they did or about their time they spent in Chapel. Our kids come home happy and excited everyday. And what I truly love is that every staff member knows you and your child by name. Teachers that have not taught your child will know his or her name. At Foundations your child is not just one of many many kids, they are an individual with a name. The entire staff is very helpful, caring, compassionate, patient... I could go on and on. As hard as it was to send my kids to school, Foundations has been a blessing. I believe that the love of learning starts very early on in life and we feel so lucky that they got their start at Foundations.Arfaras Family

Our four year old daughter has been attending Foundations for a year now. This was her first experience in school and we were very nervous about how it was going to go. The staff at Foundations welcomed our daughter with open arms. They made her first experience with school a very enjoyable one, easing both her and our minds. Since she has been attending there, she has flourished mentally, emotionally, and psychologically. She is making great progress due to Foundations, and I know it will continue. It has been a pleasure having our daughter attend there, and we would recommend the school to everybody.

You will not find a finer facility in the area when it comes to facility maintenance, safety, genuine care for the entire family, innovative learning strategies and lots of love and individual attention for each student. The staff is highly trained and educated i.e. qualified, and the administration is approachable, understanding and accommodating. Every effort is made to insure that each child has every opportunity to explore a plethora of disciplines, arts and activities to help them develop their potential talents (be they musical, artistic, social, academic, physical or spiritual) to the fullest. I cannot imagine a more loving, joy-of-learning foundation for beginning students.

I am a new parent this year to Foundations Academies where my four year old daughter attends the Montessori Primary class. She has learned so many independent tasks I couldnt be more pleased. On top of having a great education, the Christian education and appreciation is added. The community of parents and teachers are so warm and welcoming, and the extra activities that are available (music, dance, drama, etc.) in addition to the harvest festival, Christmas Program, and Thanksgiving Feast and the community service projects add to the total experience.

I have had a great experience at Foundations. The staff are friendly and knowledgable. I love that the classrooms are so organized and clean. They have very secure entry and pickup which gives me peace of mind leaving my grandson there.

I currently have both of my daughters enrolled at Foundations Developmental Learning Academies in Lakewood Ranch. My first daughter started VPK here, and she is now in 4th grade. My other daughter, in 1st grade. There is NO other school that I would rather drop my children off at in the morning. The staff is second to none, they truly care for and go above and beyond to make you and your child feel good and loved as well. My daughters and I have had a special relationship with each one of their teachers since they started. They take care to make sure there is an open line of communication and that each child is happy there. I plan to have my children at Foundations Developmental Learning Academies until high school. I am beyond pleased with this school and so very happy that they are a part of my childrens development. Any negative review on this page must have been talking about any of the other 3 schools in our surrounding areas, not this one. This facility is safe and always clean! I have built so many relationships here that I truly value every single day. I hope this review helps to welcome more lucky families.

We love Foundations Academy and so do our children. I have a 4 and 5 year old and they love going to school each day. The teachers are great and they always have special events for the children and families!!!

I am very pleased with Foundations. Everyone there is so friendly and greets you at the door and genuinely cares that you and your child are there. My daughter loves the teachers and is learning so much.

There is no child-care like it. My daughter attended Foundations from six months to about a year and a half. We left due to a change in employment. I hoped that the school i changed her to would be as clean, accommodating and my daughter would learn as she did at foundations. After switching to 2 different daycares in hopes of finding something like foundations. The only option was to take the twenty minute ride to Foundations everyday to insure my daughter would have love and safety she would at home at her daycare. Now let me tell you about Foundations. They are clean, safety and security is a priority, the teachers are great and are the same faces through out the years. My daughter loves her school and everyone there knows and loves her. She learns so much and is able to communicate what was learned at school to me when we arrive home. If you want the best for your child you defiantly will want to choose Foundations Academy as your child care facility.

Foundations is a great and caring school. My daughter is thriving in the Montessori environment.

Highly highly do NOT recommend this school! My son got so sick here, hand foot and mouth, constant runny noses and colds, you name it, he got it. He would have a horrible runny nose the whole day and a bad cough and as soon as I got him home, it would all stop. They did not clean properly and did not sanitize anything. My son only loved one teacher there, the rest he cried every day when I dropped him off. If he was with this one teacher he was ok. They also charge outrageously and are hard to get in contact with. If you want to get ahold of them, be one day late on your payment and they will be calling you up!

Hudson has been attending Foundations since he was 3 months old! I absolutely love that everyone here knows your name and your childs name even if they arent their teacher! Ms Dian and Ms Samantha (his past & current teacher) are so sweet and good with every child that they have in their classes. I came from a prior daycare where the priority was strictly to place the child somewhere safe when they were awake or try and get them to go back to sleep. NOT HERE, they get on the floor and bond with these kids, they kiss booboos, they sing songs, and genuinely care about your child! Ill never forget the first day I dropped him off, I was in tears about leaving him but Ms. Cindy called about a hour after I left to call and check on ME, and to let me know that Hudson was doing GREAT! I mean really! How amazing is that !! Thank you very much for the comfort that I have knowing that my son is in the absolute best hands possible!!

Parents Beware!! Customer Service Nightmare and Awful School Administrator!!This school has extremely poor management and customer service. They are unorganized, have terrible communication between staff and school administrator, and the school administrator has no compassion for children and parents alike. They make it extremely difficult to enroll your child. I gave this school all the paperwork and the deposit, and the administrator wrote us a letter rejecting our child for absolutely no reason. When I tried to speak to her about it, she rejected my phone calls and a staff member said she wont call me because she wants a paper trail and that I would have to email her!! I emailed her to see if there had been a mistake, and I came to find out from her nasty email that our son had been rejected when they asked me for additional paperwork, even though I gave this to them immediately and was told that he was guaranteed enrollment! I thought she would correct the situation like a normal human being (because this must be a communication error, right?), but instead she said that the decision had already been made to reject him and that this had nothing to do with availability, but that somehow I was not complying by giving them the additional paperwork that they had just requested from me! That even though I gave them the additional paperwork immediately, she had already refused our son! Makes absolutely no sense and they are violating an open enrollment policy! Save yourself and your child! Find another school! I should have paid more attention to the other bad reviews.

We just moved out to LWR area this year and were in search for a a new school for my son starting VPK. Foundations has been a dream come true. The entire staff is wonderful, loving, and so much fun. I can not thank the staff enough for all the wonderful memories and lessons they have provided. More importantly I can not thank them enough for truly loving my son and giving my son a love for learning! This is not just a school it is a family and we are blessed to be part of it! I would highly recommend this school.
