I took a class recently to learn how to make tamales-- it was great! Chef Sharon Lunardi was wonderful, as was her team! I have been trying to find new recipes to utilize elk meat (my fiance and I hunt), and made these for Christmas with an elk roast. They were a HIT! Everyone loved them. Thank you! I will return for future classes.

I have taken the practical cooking series here in the past. I cant say enough about this business. My favorite events are the Five Course Wine and Dinner pairing. We took my parents there for a special occasion. The event was perfect as usual! The wine and food were absolutely delicious. Kevin was assisting and his service was wonderful. This business complies with the Covid requirements but they do honor the exemptions laid out in the masks orders. We greatly appreciated this. Safety was never compromised and everyone there enjoyed a wonderful evening. Thank you, Classic Cooking Academy. We will be back.

This was such a fun date night experience. The staff was all very friendly and knowledgeable. You could tell they have a passion for cooking and really do their best to teach you tips and tricks along the way. While there was a large group and a crowded kitchen we had a blast with everyone and the entire meal really came together nice.

I purchased a gift certificate for Dinner and Wine Tasting for Two from Classic Cooking for my wife for her birthday. We made a reservation and were excited to try it. Unfortunately, the pandemic struck and our reservation was cancelled. Once they reopened, I contacted Classic Cooking and several times about extending the expiration date of our certificate and didnt receive an answer for six weeks -- meanwhile the certificate expired. After six weeks of waiting for a response they refused to take any action.

Overall was a good experience. However, keep in mind that you will not prepare all 4 courses during the recreational cooking class. There were four stations and we only got to prepare one of the four courses. Really felt I missed out on learning much more. But, needless to say a good handful of tips and tricks were learned (keeping in mind I cook pretty often - a beginner would likely leave a different review as they probably wouldve learned plenty with the one course meal prep) other than setting that expectation, is a fun experience with family and friends!

I took the knife skills class. It was nice to have someone explain the basics so I could adjust what I have been doing to do my cuts correctly. I would absolutely recommend this class to people.

I was in the Practical Series on Tuesday nights (Oct 2012 - April 2013) and I have to say, it was amazing. I was excited when I signed up for the course, but never expected it to be such a learning experience. Ive been cooking for many years, but learning the classic cooking basics has made me such a better chef. (At least, thats what my friends call me now :-).Chef Pascal was awesome and shared so much knowledge in a truly engaging and very funny way.It has been two weeks since last class, and I miss it... so much.

I took a cooking class here a couple years ago and still tell people about it regularly. We made pasta a lamb and to this day, made from scratch pasta is my favorite thing to make. I had no idea it would be so easy and am so glad I learned how to do it here! We learned so many unique things in the kitchen and it was a great experience. The bottomless drinks while cooking was a nice touch until one guy in our group got really drunk and was annoying to be around!

Take This Program! This is one of the best things I have ever done. Everyone in the class had a great time. There are very few things that I would take the time to write a review about, but I enjoyed this class so much that felt the need to write a review. The best part is that you will be able to cut onions without shedding a tear. I repeat- TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!!!!!!!

This cooking school was fantastic. I was a lousy cook. After taking the practical series classes I am now a good cook. Chef Pascal is funny and makes the class fun for all no matter what your skill level is. The food you learn to make is so unbelievably good. My friends who consider themselves very good cooks are jealous of what I can do. I can now look in the refrigerator and come up with a great meal. If you are a good cook and want to be better or a bad cook and want to be good this is the class and instructor

The 24 week practical series was amazing. Chef Pascal is an engaging teacher who brings years of experience, tricks of the trade and entertaining stories to each class.Ive always been comfortable in the kitchen but I now feel confident. My boring old meals have been transformed. I now have the knowledge and tools to change up my old standards and try new things. As I was in the class I found myself taking a greater interest in what food I was buying, not only the source of it but the ingredients and nutritional values. This habit has continued and my family is healthier than ever.

Completing the Practical Cooking Series with Chef Pascal was one of the best decisions of my life. I did not know what I did not know in cooking. I always took pride and received compliments on my menus but I now feel I have all of the basics to create delicious meals in the healthiest of ways. Chef Pascal presented prepping and cooking techniques that make every dish flavorful and an easy task. I will miss the weekly sessions tremendously and hope to carry on all of his teachings to my family and apprentices at my business. Thank you again for a wonderful learning experience!!

The 24 week Practical Cooking Program was excellent. I left this course enriched with wonderful techniques and the tools to be a better chef. Im a home cook with 30 years experience and a passion for cooking. I cant believe all I learned here. I highly recommend this course to anyone, any skill level, who loves to cook already or just wants to learn more. Chef Pascal is an excellent teacher! Thank you, the hands on approach was so fun and eating what we made was so good!

Take. This. Program. The recreational class is a must for anyone who would rather prepare amazing food than pay absurd amounts for meals out. The class teaches you everything from the basics and foundation of cooking to advanced dishes guaranteed to impress family and friends. I went from a Mac and cheese lifestyle (dont get me wrong, Mac is still delicious, but you cant have it every night and expect to live past 40) to well rounded meals that taste amazing. Chef Pascal is a delight. He is engaging to listen to and knows more about the culinary arts than I could ever hope to learn, but he still managed to make cooking seem simple and doable. I really miss going to those Tuesday night classes.

Joshua Hebert has not attended culinary school. I took the cooking series and dropped out after seeing all the bad habits he teaches. I have been to other cooking schools before attendind classic cooking academy. Plus i went to his pathetic restuarant hot noodles cold saki bad food and absolutely horrible service. I would definitely take the course with Pascal but not from this pathetic looser Josh.

I grew up in a Norman-Parisian household; my uncle ran a charcuterie, and was fond of great Sunday meals. I am glad to say that cream, butter, and fat, which formed the basis of my mother’s and my uncle’s meals, have not succumbed to the nouvelle cuisine fads in Chef Dionot’s class. I thoroughly enjoyed the Tuesday night sessions and may become a better cook as a result. You will not be a professional at the end of the 24-week class, but you will have an insight in what makes food taste good and the science that makes a recipe works. You will also enjoy the rants on gluten-free food and food coloring agents and the asides on the world of great restaurants in DC and in Europe. Take good notes; there is no textbook and you will rely on the practical sessions and your memory to cook the meals you discussed in class. Mark and Kelly, Chef Diniot’s assistants, were invaluable in the kitchen.

Devoured Julie & Julia, the book AND the movie? Read Omnivories Dilemna and check your mailbox for Food & Wine and Bon Appetit promptly every month? When was the last time you discussed your favorite food network personality (Ina & Giada thanks) or how you feel about the Cooking Channel (love that it has cooking shows when food network is playing reality shows)? Youre ready and its time. Its time to sign up for the Practical Course at Classic Cooking Academy. Its time to have the professional knowledge behind your obsessive foodiness. Chef Pascal and the team at Classic Cooking are legit. Break down chickens, ducks and fish? Check. Learn how to make a mighty soufflé, a sexy sauce with demi glace or create fresh mayo and hollandaise? Check, check and check. You are surrounded by people like you, you ooh and ahh over new food facts and delight in juicy stories from Chef Pascal’s glamorous and expansive history in the restaurant industry. The kitchen is supportive, not scary or competitive, with plenty of one on one help and guidance. This is not a quickfire and you will not be asked to pack up your knives and go (they provide the knives so don’t worry). The $$ you spend for this course is not only well worth it, but the practical kitchen confidence you acquire is forever and priceless. Sign up today, now, you will not regret it!
