I searched several martial arts schools before deciding Goshin Karate and Judo Academy was the right school for my daughter. I wanted a school that helped my daughter enhance who she is without changing who she is as well as teach her self-defense. Taking classes at Goshin Karate has helped her have the confidence to make her own choices, be more outgoing and more willing to try new things. The Goshin environment is that of family. Every class is taught with love and respect. The staff meet each student at their level while pushing them toward learning. Mr. Boggs runs a solid program that is clearly sequential and fully vetted. I recommend this school for any family looking to strengthen positive traits in their children.

I cant speak highly enough about Goshin Karate and Mr Boggs. From the minute we stepped into their location we were treated very kindly and very respectful. If you are looking to take your child anywhere, this is a great place to go. They will work directly with your son or daughter and really teach them more than just Karate. They learn respect and how to act at home and in public. It seems to me that this is almost an extension of what you would be teaching your children at home as well which is what I liked the most about the staff. They have a great little store inside as well with very reasonable prices for you to get all the product that you will need to continue on with the classes.

Mr. Boggs the owner is an awesome guy! I am a martial arts instructor and I have interacted with him many times. He is always very kind and helpful. The kind of guy that would bend over backwards to help you.

Extremely fun and effective way to learn Karate and Judo. Martial arts are a family tradition for us. We visited several dojos before committing to Goshin Karate and Judo Academy, which is a 30 minute drive for us. This is hands down the best judo and karate place for kids that Ive ever seen. As an experienced Karate instructor who has trained in Karate for over 30 years, I’ve watched Sensei Boggs run his children’s classes a few times with my son joining in, and honestly, I have no hesitation in recommending him. His classes are aimed perfectly at the age groups he is teaching, with the content being fun and easily taken on board by his students.

Goshin karate is a wonderful place for kids (&adults) to learn martial arts! Mr. Boggs is an incredible role model for the kids and we love it there ! While learning karate and having FUN, they also cover important life lessons about respect, discipline, kindness, bullying prevention, helping others, fighting poverty etc. I am very very impressed and grateful!!! Was a former student just wasnt what it was. when I attended in last years it was no longer a good coed training facility. Appreciate owner reaching out for reply though after bad experience

My son has been going to Goshin for about a year now starting when he was 3. In the beginning he was a little apprehensive. The ratio of instructors to students is amazing. The individual attention that Connor recieved made the difference with his confidence and skills. He has developed karate skills as well as life skills,Goshin incorporates life skills with karate skills while having fun! Goshin reinforces safety and respect in all aspects of our daily lives. I believe that Goshin has been and contiunes to be an excellent program that is affordable yet priceless in the lesson that are taught

I tried this studio about 6 months ago before trying another one, and I was not impressed with Mr. Boggs. He seemed very harsh and hardcore even to ma as an adult.I talked with other adult students who have been at the school for awhile and they liked Mr. Anderson better than him.He does not seem to know his martial arts very well. I will keep looking for sure.

Goshin Karate has been an excellent experience for our two children (8 year old girl and 6 year old boy) to learn not only about self-defense but also about the importance of community, giving back, running your own race and essentially providing the tools that are necessary to live a fulfilling life. Many of the lessons that Mr. Boggs and Ms. Bev and the rest of the team provide are inspirational and thought-provoking for all ages.

Goshin has been my home away from home for almost two decades. The best instructors, the best curriculum.

Excellent training session on Karate. Kids are able to learn the good things and able to demonstrate on the leadership skills, self defence etc..

Though I do not train at Goshin, or even live locally to partake in all of the wonderful things they do, I do interact with Mr Boggs quite often. I am a martial arts instructor, as well, and one of the dangers of our business is that we tend to run ourselves ragged, giving of our time and attention to everyone but ourselves. When it comes time for me to fill my tank, I often look to my fellow martial artists, who understand everything I am going through, and Mr Boggs is one of the most inspirational people I have met in martial arts community. He is fair, open minded, creative, receptive, and productive; all of the traits an excellent instructor should possess. Though I am thousands of miles away, I have no qualms about recommending Mr. Boggs and Goshin Karate & Judo Academy, as I can only imagine that the personal interaction of a students experience would far outweigh even the great benefits I receive in the digital world each day.

I went there when i was a kid, when mr Anderson was there. I then went back and thats when mr boggs took over. He acted like he didnt have the patience to work with me. I would try to ask him questions and he would just ignore me. I wont be back.
