My two children have taken karate lessons at Legacy for 3 years, and they absolutely love it! Master C is an expert instructor and gets to know each participant personally. In addition to martial arts, he teaches dedication, responsibility, and respect. My kids are excited for each class and ask to go to extra classes on the weekends. Imagine your kids participating in something that trains them both physically and mentally and never having to nag them about showing up and practicing.... That is what you get with Legacy. Hands down, the best activity for children and adults alike.

For the past few years my son has been practicing karate at Legacy Martial Arts, I have been amazed by the hard work, discipline and integrity he is achieving. Master C is a truly gifted instructor who keeps incredible control of the class while ensuring participants are working hard and having fun. He has created an awesome community where regardless of belt level, students are welcoming and encouraging of one another. He has a lengthy collection of dialogue and quotes that inspire positivity and perseverance. Positivity so contagious that I find myself repeating these things to myself and I am not his student. This is a great karate studio. Master C is wonderful with the children. He instills confidence through hard work and makes them want to come back again and again. I have been to many other karate studios and think this one stands out. The instructors are all kind and the students seem very positive about what they are accomplishing. We hope to be part of the school for a long time.

Master C is one of the most influential people I have ever met. I was a student of his for many years and I’m glad to say that lessons he taught me years ago I still often apply to everyday life. He is a role model and the best teacher when it comes to martial arts and life lessons.

Master C and his team are truly a special group of people. Our young son has learned so much and has gained a tremendous amount of confidence since attending classes at Legacy. We couldnt be happier!

We have been participating for 5 years and it feels like visiting family when our kids attend class. Mr. C and his wonderful staff have an amazing talent to positively motivate kids. Life skills such as respect, perseverance and goal setting are reinforced daily! Standards are set high and it has been an amazing journey to watch our kids continually meet their goals as they each earn new belts and accomplish new skills. Both of my boys have been taking karate here since they were 4, they are now 13 and 11. The positive impact that all of the instructors have on the students is amazing!! The kids/students look up to them so much. My boys wouldn’t be who they are today without Legacy Martial arts in their lives.

The school provides the perfect balance between learning new physical skills while reinforcing important social and mental skills like respect, perseverance, focus and goal accomplishment. I have two daughters who have been taking classes at DePalmas for a little over a year, and as all the other reviews say, the instructors are wonderful and the classes are enjoyable. The thing that I like about the school is how they put so much emphasis on respect, leadership and goal setting. These are all qualities that will help the students throughout their lives. Mr. C, in particular, does a great job of using personal stories to emphasize these skills in a way that the students understand. More than once I have used his examples in other situations. I have found that taking things to the next level in karate requires a big commitment (time & money), not only from my kids, but from me as well; however, this is one of the few extracurricular activities my kids have tried that they have stuck with, and I see tangible results from their lessons, so its worth the time and effort!

DePalmas Desert Mountain is hands down the best karate school around. Mr. Cs positive energy and the support of his team make karate both a fun and learning experience. I would recommend DePalmas (already have, actually) to anyone.

My family has been training at this school for many years. My two children started out in their ‘little dragons’ program at a very young age. Right off the bat they were learning respect, honesty and focus. They have now moved up the ranks in the kid’s class and are developing great martial arts skills, coordination, self confidence, and most importantly they are still learning respect and focus. The school is top notch and the staff is excellent and well trained. The head instructor Master Calantog, “Mr. C” is a highly trained 5th degree black belt with a gift of motivation and positive thinking. I train at this school myself and earned a black belt a couple of years ago. The experience still remains one of the hardest and most rewarding things I’ve ever done. My family has referred other families here and they continue to train and progress. I highly recommend this school, it’s not easy but the rewards are well worth it, especially if you’re a parent.
