We have had both of our children at Bright Horizons SLU continuously for 6 years (other than the Covid shutdown)! We are thrilled with the quality of the instruction, and the professionalism of the staff. We were a little nervous bringing our son back when they reopened, but we feel very comfortable after seeing the protocols that they have in place to keep everyone as safe as possible!

This was our 1 year old daughter Elenas first daycare and she (and we) loved it! She went here only for a couple of months (then Covid happened, then we moved out of Seattle), but she had a great experience during this short period of time. She didnt know how to interact with other kids, and she slowly learned it here. She didnt know how to nap by herself, and the great teachers here taught her and she did great in a couple weeks only. The space is great, wide open rooms with big windows, big hallways, buggies to go to their private outdoors space, plenty of outdoor time and play opportunities, and tasty food. The teachers are great and very very involved. Vai is an amazing teacher and she always gave us detailed updates when we picked Elena up in the evening. Fatuma was there every morning to take Elena in her arms and soothe her when she was upset seeing me leave, I always felt comfortable dropping Elena off because I knew Fatuma would give her love and comfort after we left.It is expensive at almost 3k/month for full time 1 year olds, and we dont like spending unnecessary money. But we dont regret for one moment the experience we had with Bright Horizons SLU.

Not the right place if your child have allergy. They dont care about providing the substitute of any food. Your child might end up eating some fruits in whole day. management is rude and stubborn. They told they cant bring special food for dairy allergy child as they bring everything from costco and they have only one child with diary allergy. Didnt like the place much. teachers does not care much if your child is eating or not. They did not help much to new child while they crying hard whole day.

We had our twins for 18 months at Bright Horizons South Lake Union and are very grateful that we chose them as the first child care once we relocated to Seattle. Bright Horizons has a prestigious curriculum nationwide, quality food, great building, nice outdoor playground, art studio and best materials. Director Tina Bakowiski seems to have everything under control and after she was promoted the center substantially upgraded. Rene Parker, the education coordinator, puts real effort on bringing new activities for the kids every year and is a great person to talk to when kids/ parents are going thru challenging moments. Turn over is a drama for every child care but we were lucky to have the same pair of teachers at toddlers and also at the preschool class. I always left the kids with the peace of mind that they were safe, respected and loved. Can’t say about infant care, but if you have a toddler or preschooler, I strongly recommend. The only downside is the tuition. Of all the 25 child cares close to downtown I researched, this is the most expensive.
