I wanted to learn enough Italian to get a richer experience for a 4-week road trip in Tuscany. Magdas classes were a perfect fit. Theyre small, about 6 students in a class if that.Once you learn the basics you barely speak any English and just start conversing in Italian. Dont be scared of that - the pace is slow (in a good way) so that you really absorb the vocab and grammar.The end result of about 4 levels of classes was that on my trip to Italy I was able to hold and maintain basic conversations with non-english-speaking Italians. I could order like a local and walk up to old locals and respectfully ask what was the best place in town to eat. And I was able to talk my way out of a ticket when we got pulled over by the Carabinieri.If you are a faster language learner, you may want to supplement your learning with a good grammar/vocab book with more examples and exercises and also try to find native speakers online with whom to chat. But the classes were invaluable for the conversation practice and understanding the finer points of the language like you wouldnt say ti amo to your kids. Magdas knowledge of both English and Italian help her to convey subtle differences in meaning in seemingly synonymous Italian words or phrases.Overall an excellent investment if you are going to Italy or if you just want to learn a beautiful language. You will also never mispronounce Pagliacci or Bruschetta or Grazie again.

Magdas Italian classes are great! She is a wonderful teacher, very patient, organized, and professional! I finished her beginner 2 Italian course and hope to sign up for another one in the future once my schedule allows. The class is laid back, with small class sizes which allows you to get a lot of practice in. Definitely a 5-star experience!Grazie mille!
