The instructors are amazing and worked well with my children. In our case, we were looking for a new place to teach our girls self-defense after moving to Seattle. The girls learned new skills beyond their previous training and had fun learning. The instructors also emphasize discipline at home and school in addition to the academy. We love it and highly recommend.

We love the family black belt academy. My daughter has been going there for over a year. We’re impressed with the intense focus on encouraging our child to be a role model for others, the personal attention that is provided for each class, and the teachers that make our daughter feel welcome and comfortable to express herself.I would give 10 stars if I could.

We just did our first Intro class and really excited to be a part of this program long term. I can tell the instructors are great with kids. The space was very clean and organized. My son is excited to go back.

Family Black Belt has made such a big difference for my family. They are wonderful and my kids love it there.I am also very impressed with their Covid safety precautions. I was a little leery of going back after the lockdown ended, but everyone wears masks and is really well spaced apart.

Our son has been taking lessons at FBBA for a little over a year and we are really happy we found this place for him. Weve seen his coordination, strength and confidence increase by leaps during his time here. The program has worked really well for us outside of the studio too and they do a great job keeping kids motivated to improve and work hard. We have been very impressed with the leaders and their dedication to all the kids. The schedule is a huge benefit with lots of options and flexibility.

Im really impressed!! My son was really interest in attending a martial art class. They had an introductory class. He was presented to the place, master, and a little bit about the martial art. Then he tried a real class. Only after that we signed him up.He is coming 3 times a week, and loving it!!He has learned confidence, self awareness, respect, even to follow instructions.He is always excited to come to class. Always learning and playing, all at the same time.The team that works here is also great. They always have more then one coach/ master helping the kids out, organizing and giving the class.For me what stands out is that they are not only concerned with your kids technique, but also with his behavior at home, school and his whole life. It is a whole package of exercise, talks, sharing and respect.Couldnt be more happy with this place!!

The instructors here are quite knowledgeable and theyre very good at working with kids. The part of the program I like the best is that theyre considering not just physical development but mental and holistic as well. Students are asked to think about other aspects of their life they want to improve on and promotions require them to work with their parents in order to improve those things as well.

Family Black Belt Academy has been an extremely positive experience for our family. We currently have three family members in classes here - one has been taking classes for over five years, and he has learned so much! The instructors are dedicated to teaching not only martial arts, but also self-confidence, listening skills, leadership, and self-control. We plan to continue coming here as long as we can!

Family Black Belt Academy is one of the best things our family has done. My boys have a blast doing it and it has helped their confidence, behavior, and athleticism. Excellent place for kids to develop their skills physically and learn the value of being disciplined and focused. My son is not interested in group sports and Taekwondo has been great resource for him. He is more assertive, self-confidence and really improved his physical capabilities. I have been taking the adult classes for about a year and a half and am hooked. The staff are really nice, welcoming, and take the time to explain the moves. I would highly recommend Martial Sports to anyone that wants to learn how defend themselves, even if they have two left feet!

Master Purcell is a great teacher and a really great person to work with. Whether youre interested in the adult classes or you want to get your children involved in martial arts, this is a great place to do it.

I train here, as does my son. They have excellent coaching in sport Taekwondo. The childrens program is a well-researched program that incorporates the family in the personal development curriculum.

Family black belt academy has been Hugely beneficial for our family. My oldest daughter was struggling with frustrations and positive outlets for those frustrations. We joined FBBA academy and she instantly loved it. The instructors and masters are extremely knowledgeable but also great with kids. The entire program is built to build confidence and help kids handle real life situations like bullying and peer pressure. They work with parents and support you with any specific issues you are having at home or school. The owners work with children psychologists to develop their modules and create a whole mind-body curriculum FBuBA is a flat monthly rate, all uniforms, belts, awards and tests included. No additional sneaky testing fees. You can just tell from the way they interact with the kids and the parents, their main motivation is helping these kids, not taking your money. I can not recommend this facility enough.

My kiddos have been there for 4 months, after transferring their belts from Michigan. I am from South Korea and had been training all the way up to the second junior black belt when I was younger, so know of pretty every good/meh side of Taekwondo training, like, training oneself toward perseverance, stamina and balance training (for good ones). Here Family BB Academy, imho, has a very nicely structured program, taking all good sides of TKD training plus self discipline and very useful set of self defense training, which I thought that itdbe awesome if I had them too in my childhood TKD training. Love their slogan - I am training to be better than myself yesterday, keeping eyes on self to move forward. So wonderful!

My two kids have been training at Family Black Belt Academy for almost 3 years and they love it. They have developed an appreciation for and great skills in tae kwon do and other martial arts techniques. I am impressed by how my kids have learned how to set goals and work towards them under the instruction of Master Purcell and his staff. Family Black Belt Academy also has a great leadership program for kids, which has given my children the opportunity to take responsibility for personal goals as well as helping younger kids in their training. We love it here!.
