My kiddo loves being a part of this theatre. Very welcoming. The staff is great! Very fun place for her to be.

I was amazed at the vocal capabilities of these young people. The best Ive heard anywhere.

What a wonderful place for your kid to learn about the ins and outs and nuances of acting and theater. My son has been a member of the Jr. & Sr. troupes and participated in several summer shows prior to joining. What he learned as a member of troupe was all aspects of acting-- from improv and dance to singing and choreography. He did not love all of it, but he understood he was honing his craft and making himself a better actor overall.What he tells me he enjoys most about OBCT is the feeling of team among his fellow actors. He talks about knowing that everyone is working together, supporting and challenging one another to become better and create the best show possible. He admires Mr. Chris & Mrs. Shannon and recognizes them as encouraging, challenging teachers who work to develop each kids talent to its fulfillment. Would highly recommend this program!

While my child had a wonderful time at the Off Broadway Children’s Theatre, I was in complete and utter awe at the sheer nepotism seen throughout several performances. The director and his wife, who are very kind people, give their son the leading role in each and every play. Because it is not within my moral compass to comment on a teenager’s performance, I will simply say that there were plenty of students who were much more deserving of the roles rather than their son. I am not the first person to complain about this and will certainly not be the last. It goes without saying that I nor my children will not return to this establishment.

This theatre is a child ( young adolescent and teenager) centric studio where each individual kid is celebrated for his/her unique talents and contributions. Chris Mayer ( owner, director) is adept at bringing out the best in children of all ages. While this is not a place whereeveryone gets a trophy, this is definitely a place where your kids will feel important, valued and part of something because the directors have the knack to bring out the best in our kids. The kids are challenged and expected to give their best, and the theatre has supported/ produced numerous talented kids who have gone on to become (or are on their way to become) recognized and celebrated local celebrities. Your children will form a family here and it will warm your heart!

As an actor here, I’ve had so much fun with family and friends and have developed a tight bond with everyone. Great place to learn theatre as a child!

My daughter has learned about all aspects of theater production from OBCT. It is family run, the owners truly care about the children, and the children are friendly and supportive...and quite talented. The fees for productions and classes are reasonable given the amount of time the children spend being taught. The space isnt fancy, but the experience is wonderful.

Great classes! The childrens theatre is professional and does amazing shows. Family friendly and I recommend off broadway to toddlers thru young teens
