I just graduated from Chandler Academy this year. I recently completed the first quarter of my freshman year of high school with a 3.7 GPA! Before I went to Chandler I was feeling stupid. I had a hard time at my elementary school and didnt want to go back. Mr. Hudson really made me focus and taught me how to learn. There was not a ton of homework, but I had to do a lot more writing and reading. He also taught me to do oral presentations and to be able to discuss topics of study. Mr. Hudson spent time training me for my extra curricular sports; baseball, boxing, and running. He is a great teacher. Chandler Academy is the best thing my parents did for me.

I have had one child go from 5th through the eighth grade and and another that went kindergarten through eighth grade and I couldnt be happier with the education that they received. The curriculum was custom designed for them, giving them the help they needed without holding them back in areas they excelled at. We loved the rural setting and the small ratios. It really is different than any other school out there. Some people dont get the idea that smaller is better. I really understand that the smaller the class the more personal attention the student will receive. My children are doing great in high school and college, thanks to the individualized curriculum and attention they received at Chandler Academy. If your child really wants to learn and receive help in their low areas they will love it.

Chandler Academy is an excellent private school that I attended from 5th through 8th grade. At Chandler Academy I was allowed to pursue subjects matter at my own individual pace, which allowed me to pursue and explore subject matters that I was interested in. The set up and individualized curriculum did a great job preparing me for college and contributed to me being able to excel. I would greatly recommend Chandler Academy as an excellent private school that encourages students to love school and learning.

I am the parent of two Chandler Academy students who attended for three years. We left public school because we noticed that our kids were getting lost in the crowd, even when they stayed after for extra help sessions. At Chandler, each one was tested to reveal their strengths and weaknesses. Then they designed an individualized education program accordingly. My kids were not allowed to progress from one chapter or unit to the next until they demonstrated mastery of the previous chapter. Feeling newly empowered, my children learned to challenge themselves to see how far they could progress. They learned to have adult discussions about topics they were studying with the teachers at Chandler. During their collective 6 years at Chandler, my kids really blossomed academically!

We have had a wonderful experience at Chandler Academy. I remember the previous reveiwers child who stayed 1 week. This child was disruptive and would not follow directions. He acted one way when he was tested and acted differently after he was admitted according to my daughter. He even refused to be taught cursive because it was not in the Forsyth County curriculum. Obviously the child and the parent need to stay in Forsyth County Public Schools.
