Ron is a patient and experienced instructor, and I highly recommend him. Ron explained everything very clearly and alleviated my fear of driving. He offered pick-up and drop-off for classes, which made the lessons convenient for me. Scheduling classes was easy, and I could decide how many classes I wanted to take. He is also aware that other countries have different driving cultures, and he incorporated that information into the lessons which helped me familiarize myself with driving in the US.

Ron is the best driving instructor you could ask for! He is super patient , humorous, and also with over 50 years of driving experience. Even on a highway, he could make sure that you are safe by using only one hand to steer your wheel. Ron is the best. I passed my test today with his help!!

Ron is a great driving instructor and I highly recommend him. He teaches basic driving skills and defensive driving in very realistic scenarios. His car has a brake at instructor side so its extra safe for beginners. He offers pick-up before classes and drop-off after classes. He also knows how to teach students from other countries who have less idea about driving on American roads. He taught driving in Hungarian language in the past. I really appreciate his teach and recommend his class. (Its more convenient to reserve class through telephone than email or message him through his website, at least for me)

I cant say enough about how wonderful Ron is. My son is on the autism spectrum and Ron was patient and very kind. He encouraged him and made him feel very comfortable behind the wheel. Ron is a great teacher! He is patient and kind. He doesn’t mind to repeat instructions if you don’t understand. He makes you feel confidant by giving clear instructions with an easy tone. He is also flexible with schedule. You can give him a call and fix an appointment at any time for any number of class you want. You do not have to book for a package of classes unlike many other driving schools. I was really under confidant while driving. He helped me clear the test at one go after I learnt from him. He also gives valuable tips to clear driving test and takes you to the neighbourhood around the driving test facility to make you familiar with the roads examiner may take. No doubt, you will like his driving lessons.

Ron is an incredible driving instructor. I’m 23 and was behind the wheel for the first time. I did about 15 hours of classes and learned SO much in such little time. Ron is super patient, helps you develop a strong defensive instinct on the road, and really gets you comfortable with all sorts of scenarios during his lessons. He’s also experienced getting students prepared for the road test in Ann Arbor so he’ll get students to drive the most frequently tested routes and help you ace the parking maneuvers. All in all, if you’re looking for an instructor in Ann Arbor, I cannot imagine anyone is better than Ron!

Ron is very patient. You feel at ease with him to ask questions. If your English is not the best, or if you get nervous while driving, he’d be a good match. Also, I was having a hard time finding a driving test appointment due to the COVID situation. He helped resolve that too. I needed to get a car for my drivers test and he helped resolve that too. Ron was very resourceful with all the necessary errands to enable me to take the road test. It was a relief for me because I don’t know how to go about these errands, and even if I did, these types of errands stress me out. I’m so glad he was able to help me throughout the entire process, from learning to drive, to getting an actual test date & car for my test.

I had a great experience with A1 Wall Driver School in Ann Arbor. My driving instructor, Ron, was very patient, flexible and was able to accommodate driving lessons within my busy schedule. He gave lots of good advice and with just 8 lessons, I felt comfortable taking the road test. If you live in the Ann Arbor area, the driving instructor also will pick you up/drop you off at your home, which was very convenient! Overall, excellent service and experience.

This is a great place for those of you who want to learn driving and prepare for the road test. With little experience of driving in the US, I passed the road test after nine hours ($55.00 / hour) of practice with a calm but attentive instructor. I found it effective to work with a professional instructor because otherwise I would have to practice with my partner, who always complained and nagged me about driving while sitting in the front seat!

I saw the 5 star rating of A wall and without hesitating I called the school. Probably was taught by the worst teacher in A Wall Driving School. I cant remember his name but he was a horrible human being. When you approach a driving school , you expect a teacher who is compassionate patient cheerful. I got the exact opposite. I left the school and approached All Star. The experience was incredible. The teacher wanted you to get a license as much as you. There was a stark difference between the two schools.

I cant remember the name of the guy that practiced with me , it was an older gentlemen. However he was FLAWLESS. I absolutely loved having him as a teacher. I was NERVOUS like extremely. Palms sweating, voice shaking , the whole 9 yards. But after a while I calmed down and got comfortable and he stayed calm the entire time. I was so glad he was patient with me. I would definitely recommend him if youre not sure who to go to. He met up with me at Briarwood mall too so it was fairly convenient. His prices are great too. 50 bucks for an hour along with great service, you cant beat it. Wish I could do more than 5 stars.

I had lessons with Ron and just passed my exam. He was a great teacher and prepares you properly for the test and to drive safe. He was also kind and usually would pick me up at home and leave me at the university while driving, so it was very convenient to have the lessons like that. Recommended!

I would highly recommend: if you are in Ann Arbor, go nowhere else. Ron is the person who can teach driving best! Was able to get the driving license in just couple classes from him! Ron was a fantastic instructor. He was friendly and patient, but taught so that I didnt depend on his instructions. He maximized what I got out of the lesson by focusing on what I could improve on the most and he seemed to really care about helping me learn. He said hes done this for many decades and it really shows.

Ron Kato is a very nice and patient instructor. With no prior driving experience, I was able to get my Michigan drivers licence within a month. As I am an international student, Ron put more efforts in speaking slowing and repeated some important tips to me. It was a pretty nice experience with him. I highly recommend this instructor.
