Younger son in this family business teaches driving and is extremely rude, short- tempered, and doesnt value time and money.He used to be ALWAYS late to the driving lesson by at least 10mins, wouldnt make up for the lost time and would still charge full money. Its $60 an hour so thats at least $10. Was extremely short tempered and rude during last session when teaching parking.Only reason I went there was because I was in a hurry to get a driving license, this was close to where I lived, and didnt have time to check out other driving schools. Please dont make this mistake, save yourself and go to a different driving school.

The instructors were amazing and cooperative. They teach very nicely keeping in-check all the tiny details. They help you understand your weak spots and work on them vigorously. Very helpful and informative!

I had my driving test today with Ann Arbor Driving School and I really liked the overall experience.I was naturally a bit anxious at the start; it was raining too today which added to the overall anxiety. But the examiners calm attitude along with some of his very helpful suggestions during the drive quickly helped me regain the usual confidence I have had lately during my learning. I would definitely recommend them.

The parking lot that you test in feels a little cramped and the first time I took the test it was busy, not sure who my tester was but they didnt communicate with me much and I was using a bigger vehicle. However my second attempt with them was much much better. I had Simon as my examiner and he was really low stress and helpful. I rented their car for the second attempt and had much less trouble with the parking portion. My gratitude goes to Simon though, he was awesome.

Unfortunately my experience with the school wasn’t the best. The instructor who I was taking classes with was very unprofessional. I took just two classes and I am done with it. This instructor was late on both classes. During the class he was rude, he was constantly on phone calls or ate. Didn’t seem to care about the class at all. It was very frustrating.

I had my first adult driving lesson (2 hrs) with Suhail today. Going into it, I was pretty nervous as it has been almost two weeks since I last practiced driving, and unfortunately Suhail didnt make the experience any better for me. Maybe it was just a bad day for him, but every time he spoke he was rude and sounded like he didnt want to be here. Sometimes he would also give unclear instructions then get mad at me because I incorrectly inferred the correct action to take. He also didnt give any positive reinforcement throughout the session, so I had a really hard time knowing whether I did something right or not. Overall, it was an unpleasant learning experience.Edit: Turns out instructor Suhail was indeed just having a bad day. He had apologized and gave me a partial refund.

Ive called so many road testing places today and I must say this one has the best customer service out of all of them. The customer service was great. I dont remember the name of the person I spoke to but he was very nice and informative. I called to schedule a road test. They have availabilities that work around your schedule. They also have a car available for you to drive. The pricing is very reasonable compared to other places. I have yet to take my test with them but will be back with an update on that experience as well. Ive read the good/bad reviews and so far I cant relate to experiencing any rude people.

I tried to call to ask some questions (how much the test would be, would I be using my car or a different car, exc.) and they told me they don’t answer questions over the phone and hung up in my face. The man who answered the phone was extremely rude.

If I can give a 0 star I would. My sister was supposed to take the exam today with the father today, but the son, Suhail, showed up last minute. And he was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. He was eating his lunch when he picked up my sister, and said nothing and made my sister wait while he finished his food. After eating his food they started the parking session , he is VERY rude from the beginning that he made my sister cry. Gave her attitude and yelled at her the whole way for going 1 mile above the speed limit. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. I cant believe such a rude person like him exist. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere!

My son took driving lessons here, including a couple extra private lessons, and also his driving test. They were very good instructors, accommodating and professional. My son is on the autism spectrum and they were very patient with him. Suhail and Simon were great. The driving test instructor was good and calm with him too. I definitely recommend them.

I had a very bad experience with this business. I registered my daughter for a driving class at the end of June, 2020 and we signed the contract. The web site showed 10 people limit per class. At the end of July, I called them and asked them if they clean the class room every day. The owner was very RUDE and he told me he had no plan to clean the room. On the next day, they called my daughter and told her that she was put on the waiting list and she should not go to the class.We already signed the contract in June. Why are they so afraid of us? I am very worried about the people, especially teenagers who go to this place and stay at least 2 hours every day. Everyone should do his own part to help this town.This is a very bad business. Do not trust them. They do not put peoples safety first and they do not honor their business contract.Reply to your comment:You are lying to the public. When I signed up, the web site stated limit 10 people per class. I was told that the class at 10am was full and the class at 12pm had spots. So I signed up for the 12pm class. I have all the emails from your employee. Do not lie to the public! The owner specifically told me that he had NO plan to clean the room everyday. Why did you move us out of your list if you were doing the cleaning? What made you dis-honor the business contract that you have on file? You moved us to the waiting list right after (the next morning) I requested classroom cleaning. You are not doing an HONEST business.

The class instructor, Mrs. B, was very pleasant and knowledgeable. She was able to answer Any questions that I had, and I had a lot! Lol! Then, it came time for my son to drive, and I was pretty nervous. But Dean, the driving instructor, was Awesome! He was calm, knowledgeable, and patient....a Very good instructor! My tester was Simon and I was greeted with a kind smile and a calm but assuring tone which made me feel at ease. The driving test went great with him giving clear directions. I took my adult learning lessons (2 hour) from suhail. I was very nervous, suhail gave me proper instructions and eased me and taught me where I was making mistakes and what I should do to correct them. After 3-4 days I gave my driving test with Simon. He was very calm and specific in giving instructions. I loved his attitude. Even after passing my test he gave me proper feedback which I appreciate.It was exactly what I expected for my test to be according to the Michigan driving skills test study guide.Overall, Id recommend Ann Arbor driving school for both lessons and testing to everyone. The front wheel of my bike was hit by a car from Ann Arbor Driving School coming out of a parking lot. Yes, I should have been more careful. However, I only went in front of the car after seeing them look left to right 5 times. They should have seen me.After they hit me, I expected them to roll down a window and apologize. Nope. I called the driving school, and the person who answered was the person who hit me. He said he thought he was close but didnt think he hit me. I believe it, but clearly he is an incompetent driver if he didnt see me after I waited for 10 seconds before going in front of him while he was completely blocking my path (also not a good sign). He 100% knew I was yelling at him, implying that something had happened, but no acknowledgement.The employee was the one who hit me and couldnt even tell. Is this the kind of person you want teaching your kids to drive?

I went to this place for my driving test and the person who I had was awesome he was calm cool and didnt distract me. I took my son here in December and got the same man same results. My son has referred a bunch of his friends here as well they had the same man same results. My daughter just took the road test last week and she had the same man same results she will refer her friends as well. I would highly recommend this place to everyone I know.

My grandson moved to Michigan from South America to attend college. He had a drivers license, but needed to learn more about freeway driving, parallel parking, and Michigan specifics. I chose this school based on the reviews and could not be more delighted with his experience. He took two sessions of adult behind-the-wheel lessons with Dean, who was excellent. He was very calm and could not have been any nicer. Then my grandson took the test and passed! I highly recommend this driving school.

I recently took the practice sessions as well as the road test. The man who gave me practice was good, polite and straight forward. He started conversation to ease the tension and was very friendly. I liked his straight forward and honest behavior. He doesnt do spoon feeding and gives more freedom and points out the mistakes immediately. Some may develop a feeling of rudeness but I would consider it as honest expression. His way of giving lesson is challenging but I feel it helps in developing skills as well as confidence.I was tested by the lady who was very polite and courteous. From the start she made me feel comfortable all through the test. I didnt make any mistake either in parking or on road and therefore comfortable passed the test. I had a wonderful experience with both of them. I advise everyone to practice with a friends car as it helps in mastering the minute maneuvering which is very useful for parking.I would recommend this school to everyone.

Had a great experience. I had a foreign license and just wanted one or two practice lessons before taking the road test. Ended up just needing one lesson with them during which I was given many tips and was able to quickly adjust to the American roads and pass the road test just a few days later.

Excellent service. Instructor was on time and friendly. Very to the point and prompt service. Made me feel very comfortable. I am 32 so I definitely recommend them for adult drivers test. They dont treat you like your 18 and dont know how to drive they just make sure you still know how. If you can park and not scare the instructor with your driving youll be fine. They are more rigorous on new drivers as they should be. Also upon reading the bad reviews it sounds like almost all of the complaints are coming from privileged Ann Arbor people who have never lived anywhere else and expect the world to cater to them. Im a serious person forget 90% of the bad reviews you can read for yourself are just whining.

I had the best experience here. I had booked my appointment for a lesson and then my test right after but the trainer realized I wasn’t quite ready yet and I agreed so he told me to come back the very next day for one more lesson and the test. Within only 2 lessons I could finally master it thanks to him. Took my drivers test, the instructor was very kind and calm and professional. I was sooo nervous but he made conversation with me and put me more at ease and even helped me out a little during the test. This is definitely the best family owned driving school in this area!

Suhail is an exemplary instructor, and gave useful driving tips that prepared me for the test while keeping me calm (probably the most impressive part). Took the road test and passed the first time, the examiner was very professional, encouraging, and didnt detract from my focus. The service is not professional at all. I scheduled a road test but they just stood me up because there was no one in the office to pick up the phone and I didnt know where to go. I waited for half an hour and nobody called me because they forgot to give the tester my contact info. I recommend taking road test at Able Testing. Their services are absolutely better(with online scheduling and email notification, which are all very professional).

I passed and Im happy to finally get my license. Her directions were straightforward and clear. Its the perfect place to go if you are a college student and need to test somewhere close. I took 5 lessons with Sohail so far and he was very decent as well as professional. He taught me all the basics and took me to all the different areas like Lanes, Express ways, Down Town, Railway tracks etc. I felt very comfortable with him. His behaved very friendly. I have got my own car now and willing to take few more lessons from him as I had a gap of 3 months after I cleared my road test.

I don’t know how they got 4.5 stars on yelp—- don’t believe it! This is a family run business, my instructor from this school is a young guy about 30 ish. He is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE.I am experienced driver who got my British driving license for years, wanted to take the exam to have a Michigan licences.This young guy can’t give you clear instructions to tell you what he want you to do —— it’s not because of his accent, it is because he is NOT BOTHERED!!He left me in the car for 10 minuets without telling me what he is out for, he gave me WRONG instruction to turn left but he actually he wants me to turn right , then he crab my steering wheel told you it was wrong! When we practice reverse and parallel parking he even didn’t tell me what he is pass point what is a mark down point and where he wants me to park!Worst of all , his father said this young guy is An examiner too! So the father and his daughter. I am sorry , I can’t imagine how people like this can be an examiner! Is it even Legal?!To sum up, after one hour and half lesson , I don’t know how to drive anymore. I was shaking , sweating with split headache! However, I pass my exam easily next day without any problem because luckily the examiner is not him!

I took a training for a couple of hours from the male instructor and tested with the lady instructor. The man was friendly but could be stern and rude at times. He taught well however. The lady was really sweet and helpful. The test was over before I knew it. Would recommend it.

I have driven back in my home country. So I decided to take just a class to get used to left hand driving. Suhail, my instructor was very friendly and answered most of my questions. We even managed to strike some good conversations along the way.On the day of the test, Simon, my examiner was very calm and warm. That allows the test taker to relax and do the best they can. He was very clear with his instructions and the test took less than 20 mins (or so it felt!).Would recommend to anyone any dsy. I believe my peace of mind was worth the investment. But may be others dont value their peace of mind so much - so reducing the price a little or offering more packaged options for classes might allow more people to avail your services. For the love of all that is good, GO ELSEWHERE. Be warned: I was told there is normally a $20 fee for showing up without all your papers in order, but I was like hah. no. and left. I dealt with the woman for the driving test. She was the single most shockingly awful person I have ever had the displeasure of being within 5 meters of in my life and Im glad I escaped before I actually had to take the test. Extremely rude, condescending, and downright vile. Im certain she would have failed me so I would have to take another test. Im an adult in my mid 20s and she talked to me and my partner like we were children. I honestly dont know how theyre still in business. I cant imagine taking the driving test under those conditions, its stressful and likely to cause you to make mistakes. Please go somewhere else.

I went to this place for driving school and also took the driving test here a couple of years back. For the former, she [the wife] basically reads aloud passages from some driving publication and shows the class low-budget VHS productions regarding things that rarely happen on the road. As for the driving test, both of them are out to fail you. They really want you to pay them for a second assessment. The five star ratings are bogus. The only people who have had great experiences here from what I have noticed were family friends.

I read all the reviews here. Some said this man is rude, and some said he is a great man. Trust me, he is VERY RUDE. It all happened this morning at the testing site. The crazy old dude for no reason thought me and my friend were here practicing last night. He was mad, and yelled at us with insulting questions like do you think I am STUPID or what?. We tried to convince him that we were not here yesterday. He didnt believe us. I could tell he was mad during the whole test. At the end of the test, he didnt even tell me if I pass or not, and the procedure I should follow to get my license after this really bad road test experience.IF YOU WANT TO PREVENT THIS KIND OF UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE, please choose other company. Horrible experience. Do not recommend. The female instructor was disrespectful, unprofessional, and in the end, attempted to deflect attention from her poor behavior by directing toward us an accusation of some unnamed and ungrounded prejudice against her. WTF?!Heres a detailed timeline if you want to read more.1. I scheduled an appointment with them at 12:30, showed up at 12:10. During the wait, nobody told me what I needed to do. At around 12:20, I walked up to a male instructor and let him know that I had an appointment at 12:30. He told me to wait until it was my turn, and someone would come to me. Nobody ever came up to me.2. At around 12:40, I went up to a female instructor who just came back from a road test. I told her that I had an appointment at 12:30. The female instructor told me that she was running late and was supposed to leave at 1:00 pm. She had to do another test originally scheduled at 12:00, but another instructor would do my test instead. She didnt apologize to anyone affected by her delay.3. At around 1 pm, the male instructor came back. I went up to him and told him again that my test was scheduled at 12:30, but he had another test to do and said I would be the next.4. At around 1:20, the female instructor came back. I didnt expect her to give me the test because she said she was going to leave at 1:00, but I saw her standing 30 feet away from my car seemingly waiting for me like I was supposed to know what to do.5. As I pulled up to her, she didnt come close to my window or anything. I brought my documents and walked up to her. She started saying that she wouldnt be giving me the test, but she would help fill up my paperwork.6. As she was filling up the paperwork, she asked me where I learned to drive. I wasnt sure what kind of answer I was supposed to give her, like which road I learned to drive on? I thought she mightve asked when instead of where so I tried to confirm with her. Then she changed the question to who taught me to drive. I told her it was my friend, to be more specific, my husband. She hesitated and asked, so...your partner? I sensed some hostility towards my homosexuality but I didnt take it very seriously as there might be some cultural and/or religious difference.7. After she was done with the paperwork, she instructed me to start the road test. Wait, what? I thought she wasnt going to do my road test? When did it change? Maybe shes just gonna do my parking test and let the other instructor take over after? Anyway, I was glad if she was to give me the road test because it means I didnt have to wait any longer, but I would appreciate it more if I could be informed of any plan change for the test I paid for.8. After the parking test, she got in my car. I explained to her that I was planning to adjust my mirrors even though they were already adjusted because I heard people say its a must in the test. She didnt respond. But as I was adjusting the mirrors, she asked very impatiently, Can you move?9. The way she spoke with me and the way she gave instructions during the road test was very condescending with a lack of respect and professionalism. Despite me waiting for about an hour and how uncomfortable she made me feel, I showed her great respect. Each time she issued a command, I would say okay, thank you to show my appreciation for her time and to confirm that her instruction was received.10. In the end, we had an argument. She stormed out of my car without a proper conclusion. I said to her as she was getting in her car, thank you for making us wait for one hour. She replied, You are welcome with contempt on her face. I guess some people take pride in being rude.11. She didnt give me my receipt so we drove to their office to get it. She kept us locked out the whole time except when she handed out the receipt. When my husband pointed out that she was tardy and unprofessional, she just threw at our face an unexplained and ungrounded accusation of us being prejudicial.

They were very nice and professional. Also very understanding of my particular situation.

The instructors werent particularly helpful with the driving component. I did not feel that they adequately explained my mistakes to me or caught enough of my mistakes while I was driving. The instructor yelled a little too much for my liking and seemed distracted. I did not schedule more than one lesson here because of my experience. After working with an instructor from another driving school, I was able to really understand and correct the mistakes I was making on the road.

First, paid full for 2h lessons: During my lesson, Suhail was on his phone the whole time. We made a couple of stops for his personal business. He often time spoke rudely over my mistakes and even yelled when I made a mistake on high way. He was not proactive giving instructions for my driving lessons. I forgave him and scheduled for another 2h lessons thinking that he might just had a bad morning this time. I made this excuse because of the good rating I saw on google about him.Second, scheduled for another 2h lessons which he changed into 1.25 h lesson on the day. During my lesson, he stopped at his laundry business, he made a call (talking about his bill), and a couple other excuses that put me in a waiting mode during my lesson. At the end of the lesson, he charged me full cost!Lastly, I scheduled a road test and got canceled the night before the test.

I really had a good experience with this School. The instructions were very clear and the environment was very good. I didn´t feel under pressure which its good for a Road Test. I really recommend this school for classes and/or take your Road Test. The team is very nice, friendly and professional!

Went to this school and attended segment 1. The teaching was top notch and I felt pretty comfortable when I was learning on the road. I would definitely reccomend this school to another friend.

I had a pleasing test experience and did learn a lot from both my instructor and test administrator!!!
