I think Lufkin Road middle School is a good school. For being a student there it is a very academic school. Although the school is academic, they do not have recess and the lunch line is very long. I know that Lufkin has no control over the time that school starts, it is very early and instead of attending to a class they usually tend to sleep in class. Overall Lufkin Road middle School is a good class but unlike west lake or any others i cant give it a 5 star just because of the early times and having no outdoor time, unless you are in gym. :):(

Lufkin Road Middle School is a school that is excellent for the kids who enjoy a very academic atmosphere. The only downside is the fact that the student have very little say in their electives. I believe that school should prepare our youth for the future. That being said, not many students will actually pursue a career in the core subjects, so electives are a great way to help kids develop skills in alternate careers. The problem is, the number of electives are limited and students have very little say in what electives they take. The good thing is, academics are great here.

So I am in the 6th grade and Lufkin road is not bad most of the kids writing reviews are bad and so the teacher have an impression on them for he rest of the year the homework is a lot I have to confess. There isnt Lot of bullying it really depends on which track I am in track 2 and there is no bullying but there is a lot in track 4 and . So Lufkin isnt that bad there food is surprisingly good too! I have been going to Lufkin for all my middle school years. It has been a rocky road. Teachers sometimes assume we did something wrong. They dont take us seriously as the teenagers/preteens we are. Some teachers however do understand. I have made many amazing friends at this school and I honestly dont wish I went to any other school, regardless of the teachers. But middle school is tough and I bet Lufkin would be a good fit for you if you know how to precisely listen and follow instructions given.

This school is complete garbage. Most of the teachers always assume you do something wrong, bullying is constant pushing some kids to suicidal thoughts, and the food here looks like it came out of the trash. I find it ironic how the pe teachers talk the entire time about how to play the dumb game they came up with instead of letting us play it. Electives are minimal and most are just extra homework. Most teachers use their power and authority to ruin some kids time at school because they talk to someone in the middle of class at the beginning of the year. I once got silent lunch for turning around to see who was laughing. Never send a kid here ever. They should of never changed that factory into this school.

I️ would not recommend this school its full of snitches waiting on u to screw up if u wanna have fun go to apex not here the teachers are mean and only care about money u cannot ask a question withought getting yelled at our basketball team had to play at Salem because we have a poll in the middle of the gym this school is full of snitches I️ was on the bus and I️ played a song that said one bad word and this girl told the principal she was being harassed seriously don’t come here if u wanna have fun.

Its a pretty good school. New friends, new teachers, cool classes, awesome FOOD, and so many events! Its awesome!

The school is good last year. i had great teachers but this year is eh. i think its okay but not as good as last year. i hate the new crappy schedule this school is great academic wise but some teachers are Freddy krueger. this school made me depressed but its okay.

I really hated the school. Only 30% of the teachers were even helpful and one of my teachers gave me ISS for me calling my friend a baller. I got in trouble for something someone else did. They believed it. I also found mold on my cheeseburger at school lunch. The assistant principle was so strict and my Math teach wouldnt teach us anything and give us free time so now Im doing bad in high school math. Hated the school. I will only miss 6 teachers. If you want your kid to die. No problem just send him to Lufkin. No problem. Thanks!!!

My ex girlfriend came here intel she moved to Russia. she love this place. she always spoke highly of people here except for Dillard obviously. I like the kid. we ride our dirt bikes, we piss people off at the store by buying all the gum or all the Oreos and then giving them to strangers and police officers. this place is full of excitement and joy

Very good school, I know from experience because i am currently about to graduate 8th grade. it can get hard sometimes and some of the teachers arent the best but still i would recommend this school for anyone who wants to send their child to a fun, safe, and friendly environment.

This school is awful. The teachers don’t care about anyone, the administrators make up lame excuses for everything, and the students are fake. We are one of the poorest and smallest schools, with horrible facilities. The teachers are awful at teaching the only good teachers are mr Shaw and Ms Rinehart. This year has been the only year that parents needed tickets to attend graduation, but no one got enough tickets. Some kids didn’t get any. There is special needs student who is in a wheel chair and has been practicing walking for graduation and all her grandmother wants is to come see her walk across the stage and graduate, but we don’t have enough tickets. Ms sinders is aware of this issue, but does nothing about it claiming it’s “a safety hazard” yet in the previous years there was no limit to the number of people in attendance. Overall, don’t go to this school, go to apex.

I went to 3 different middle schools in Wake County and Lufkin was BY FAR the worst. The other kids were never nice to me and the teachers did nothing about it. Most of my teachers were nice enough but were horrible at teaching. In my science class it was rare if 5 kids PASSED a test. About half way through the school year I got really sick and spent almost an entire quarter hospitalized and in rehab. When I returned to school many of my classmates mocked how thin I had become. My math teacher even shamed me for getting a B as a final quarter grade. Im sure that my experience at Lufkin Road was a bit extreme but, if you can help it, get you child into a different school.

They tried sending me here for 6th 7th and 8th and im glad im not here

Dont com here it is scary here like seriously a kid got caught tryin to flush a freaking vape down a toilet! and the bullying countermeasures are not being held up and the only good thing is the electives and some core classes but even science is so boring that i hear everone groaning everytime its class time.

Lufkin Road Middle School is one of the worst schools to attend in the Wake County public school system. Lufkin is awful in every aspect, from teachers, electives, students, to the principal. One of the assistant principals directly said to my mother that a little bit of fear in the classroom is a good thing. I had the same Math and LA teachers in 7th grade as I did in 8th. My 7th grade LA teacher was phenomenal in many ways and had a lot of teaching experience. She retired at the end of the first quarter and I dont blame her.The kids are complete jerks and the administration does nothing about it. Teachers leave in the middle of the year and dont even think twice. I am in High School right now and have made straight As thus far. While attending Lufkin in 8th grade, all they did was strike fear that High School was going to be nothing but a disaster. If you are a parent considering to enroll your kid at LRMS I strongly suggest. For his mental health, LRMS will only hurt him. Lufkin was so desperate for reviews, they had the kids do reviews while in CSA2 ( a computer class) and we had to rate at LEAST 3 stars. Once the principal leaves then LRMS will hopefully go back to the way it was!

In 8th grade, athletics are alright this year, and gym is good. Teachers make health feel worthless and pointless, and you just sit in class and get taught stuff you learned last year (Didnt learn 6th grade bc i had Mr Merrit). This kid got a lap dance in health it was hilarious. Some teachers are alright but some dont know how to teach to save their lives you know who im talking about.... In 6th grade kids smeared poop literally everywhere in the bathroom and Ms Walters cried. I was bullied in 6th grade and kids are cruel at this school. Cruel Skinny and Rich kids bully you. In 7th grade, you walked into the bathroom and you couldnt go to the bathroom because kids had shoved random objects in the toilets, and there were plungers all on the celing and brooms in the sinks. In 8th grade, kids pissed all over the bathroom floor and we got to watch a whole pod get blamed for it I laughed so hard. Lets talk about the subs who will yell at you to do your work just so they can say that they told you to do work. Ms. Stein in particular cant spell to save her life and in her stupid TIP thingy the I stands for RAISE YOUR HAND! This one kid told me he got SILENT LUNCH for 2 days for sharpening a pencil from Ms. Stein, so good job! Now, lets talk about discipline at lufkin. They hand out silent lunch to the boys like its candy, but the girls could piss all over the pod and get a cookie for good effort. Someone in my pod got his phone taken away for putting away his earbuds in the pod when all the white kids get to walk around listening to music. To be honest props to Mr. Jackson because he literally is the best teacher and isnt sexist, racist, or doesnt give out silent lunch to everyone. 7th grade was interesting to watch 7-4 mess up everything. People cheated, flicked off teachers, screamed Im a pedofile, Cussed out teachers, and didnt do any work. If your kid cant talk to other kids without crapping his pants dont send him here he will get bullied until he is suicidal im not kidding, just send him to like anywhere else. One kid got caught with cocaine, and pulled a knife on this one little kid because he did something, i dont remember, and thank god we got Ms Walters gone, she would be crawling on the walls like What did you just say! For real this isnt the place for antisocials because there IS a bullying problem ive been bullied before, and its just not fun to be here, but some of the teachers dont suck and devote their life to lufkin and teaching, so props to them! Cant stand kids here tho I have no friends and if you dont fit in then RIP! Youll get eaten alive.

My old teacher used to make fun of the way i dressed and told me to my face that she didnt like how i wore sneakers and a dress togetherMy current teacher, who ive had for seventh grade and eighth grade, also makes fun of me. Joy. In seventh grade i did very bad on a math quiz, so decided that it would be funny to publicly humiliate me by saying how obvious it was that i didnt study at all even though it was a new unit and i missed the beginning of it due to a trip.There are many more experiences ive had similar to this but then this would be a book series, not a review. These are just events that happened to me who knows what other things people go through. the most awful school ive ever been to.

This is my first year at LRMS and i have enjoyed it so far, they have many different classes that will help me out in the future like life skills, computer skills, etc. and my core teachers are awesome (shoutout to Mrs. Curry and Mrs. Farinholt) they are helpful and funny and they also have many teaching methods that are fun and helpful. Looking forward for the rest of this year and in the future!

Wonderful education system and teachers, but my child had their phone stolen twice within a few months of each other. There are some obvious security issues.

Im in 8th grade and my teachers are total crap. 2 of my teachers have never once sent a student to choices or iss because they have no concept of discipline.another one of my teacher goes off on ramblings that can last the whole period. Then, she makes is do the crap for homework but she never posts it so we have to do in class the next day and do that work for homework. It is a vicious cycle. My final teacher only uses packets and videos to teach, which is a horrible teaching method. Thus school used to be OK, but it has gone down the tubes because of crap teachers.

Curriculum- Track 1 ELA teachers need some wake-up calls in stark contrast to many other dedicated open-minded teachers in social studies, science and math. Dull projects, illogical grading, out-dated curriculum, nothing fresh they bring out to the table. They dont even try-- just a repeat of the same ol stuff. Pointless if what students learn is not relevant and does not really prepare them for their future. Another thing is students are NOT ALLOWED to take back their graded tests.... Where is this policy coming from and how does it help students?The Vibe- The Principal and one of the Assistant Principals run the school like a prison-- via threats and penalties, instead of positive reinforcement. Constant threats of taking away students free recess time, picnic, Hope Game..etc are pressed towards students behavior. Track 8-1 this year DIDNT EVEN GET A FIEDL TRIP. Furthermore, the utter nonsense is that 8-1 parents were informed AFTERWARDS. Cmon- I dont care what lame excuses they came up with, but you only can be an 8th grader once in your life time. I care, as a parent.Its about time all schools and teachers really pay attention to the reviews, same as anything else, for their improvement. Or JUST QUIT if you teachers or school admins really dont care about students and their future. Get a different career altogether seriously.
