Lion Taekwondo has been a game changer for my six year old daughter! She absolutely adores the sport and Master Chung is unbelievable wonderful with the kids. We felt so welcome right from the very beginning and look forward to every class! The price is amazing and the quality of the lessons is top notch, the kids are learning while having fun! I really do not have enough nice things to say about Lion Taekwondo and Master Chung! 10/10 highly recommended

Exactly what I needed for my 7 year old girl. Happy to see her energy is spent in making her strong. Kids really like their Master Chung and his teaching methodology which includes playing with kids as well. Its great Master Chung organized movie nights as well.

Master Chung is amazing! He has a unique ability to calibrate his lessons to your skill level. I would recommend anyone at any skill level to attend his classes!

Lions Taekwondo is really a great academy. They teach kids not only to kick and punch but to take the discipline to all aspects of their life. Master Chung is very patient, fun and at the same time strict. My kids are always happy to come to their class!

My 5 yr old started going to Lions Taekwondo since Oct 2018. He absolutely loves it ! Hands down one of the best places that nurtures a conducive environment for kids to learn, grow and practice their Taekwondo skills.Master Chung is gifted in the way he teaches and instills discipline in the kids. The belt promotion test every 2 months requires feedback from the kids school teacher and parents and serves as a great incentive for the kid to perform better at school, home and at the Taekwondo class.I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for Taekwondo classes.

I would highly recommend Lions Taekwondo to anyone wanting to participate in Martial Arts. The environment is a great place for you to learn, practice and improve your TaeKwonDo skills and also it helps to improve your manners and teaches you respect in your everyday life. The teachers and instructors are well disciplined and full of energy and so kind, they will never ignore the fact to help you learn and become a better student. Especially Master Chung. He has such a talent of teaching the kids and instills discipline. The belt promotion test allows for our child to get a teacher and parent signature in order to help Master Chung learn what your doing at home and whether you are following the Taekwondo rules. Excellent , Motivated and Fully trained Teacher. Kids are learning a new martial and self defense techniques when ever they are moving to another level. Kids are highly motivated and well trained by the wonderful instructorsfor the inter school , National championship programs too.

I was a student here for 14 years since the age of four until 18. The lifelong lessons I was taught here and the physical abilities developed, especially strength in my legs and total coordination have set me up for success as a competitive athlete throughout my 20s.I trained with Master Russo, Master Solan, Master Baure and Master Frank since the 1990s and they have been great role models and training partners.Although I have never trained with Head Master Chung I have friends who have and speak highly of him.If your looking for authenticity and professionalism, I trust this place 100% as I have seen this Academy develop for over 25 years.

Excellent Martial center from child to Adults with fully trained and most experienced Teachers. Kids are learning very new martial arts whenever they moved to another level.

My 9 yr old (Pratham) joined Lion’s Taekwondo 3+ years back in 2016 and still continuing. In these 3 years he has learned a lot , groomed a lot and a big credit of that goes to Grand Master Chung. Its a great place to go to Tae Kwon Do. Master Chung is a fun teacher. I just moved to Arlington Heights about two months ago. I miss my last Tae Kwon Do school and all my friends, but Im making new friends all the time now.

Kids really like Master Chung... awesome environment for kids to learn taekwondo

We just moved to Arlington Heights 2 years ago and we’re looking for an activity for my daughter who just turned 4 then. We happen to pass by Lion’s taekwondo and was welcomed right away by Master Chung. Since then, my daughter has been loving each class and is always excited for it. Master Chung has certain magic with the kids. He knows how to keep their attention in a fun way & cares for them as if they’re his kids. He makes learning taekwondo enjoyable but at the same time instill discipline and respect not only in his class but also at home. He encourages the students to respect their parents, love their siblings, help with chores & maintain good grades in school. My daughter actually gained confidence and courage “like to never give up or to keep trying” because of her taekwondo classes. When our son turns 4 we will definitely let him also attend Master Chung’s class!

New owner came into place to run Lions Taekwondo center since April of 2016. My cousin currently learns from Master Chung who carries professional and genuine concerns in his instructional methods as well as giving honest, reasonable answers to questions that may come up. I highly recommend Master Chung to obtain Taekwondo training especially for wide range of age groups.

I have been a student here for about 8 years now. Classes have always been engaging and well taught. Conveniently located as well, this is a quality school. I would recommend Lions Tae Kwon Do to beginners and seasoned practitioners looking for a great experience.

New owner, new master, new energy, new school. My son has been involved here for eight years and has always liked it. Now, he loves it.

Buyer beware - Master Kim is more concerned with money than teaching kids the art of Tae Kwon-Do. So much for caring about the whole person this art aspires to teach.Kim requires a contract and no matter what your circumstance - he will not let you out of it. Our son was having trouble in school and needed tutoring several nights per week and we needed him to focus on school. Life circumstances change - especially with kids. After more than a year of paying on a 2 year agreement Master Kim would not relent. Master Kim uses a hard nosed collection agency/contract management company to hide behind.We had all good intentions and our son was generally well taught, but we should have known better than to sign such a long term contract for an 11 year old.
