City of Refuge is a great community partner in Nw Atlanta. Facility is inviting and active. Looking forward to attending more events here. Thanks for all you do!

Horrible service this is just another “non profit “ who’s getting profit from the government, but not really helping the community. I went there today and was very disappointed in the staff. How u come to a community saying you trying to help and the first thing u do is hire people that’s clearly not from this community, then lied about it being a job fair all they did was get us to register with city of refuge , they are basically inflating the registration numbers to show they “helping “ to get funds . I’m reporting to the city council or something so disappointed I wonder how much dollars this cost the city of Atlanta

I am currently a resident. I am thankful and just so grateful for this Ministry. We are safe. Our environment is clean. We are very well feed. I thank Our Lord and Savior everyday. Sunday Service in the onsite Sanctuary. Bible Study. Pastor Bruce, Pastor Seth, Ms. Shirley Love, Ms. Regina, Ms. Kim, Ms. Bailey and Ms. Ross. I thank you for your encouragement. I am uplifted everyday. Every Woman Works program is phenomenal. There is truly an anointing on this Ministry. When I am self sufficient. I will volunteer and donate to this ministry.

Not sure why theyre called the City of Refuge when they turn people away that are in need. I tried calling them several times this morning to speak with someone about housing for a friend of mine. No one answered ANY of the 10 phone lines that Ive called. I have left several messages, and no one had returned my phone calls. I then tried to dial the main number and finally got an answer. I was transferred to the same number in which I had tried to dial previously. So, I called the number back again and asked the receptionist how to speak with someone about an emergency situation in which my friend was in desperate need. She stated that the only way would be to leave a message and allow 24-48 hrs to be contacted. I then asked her if they accepted walk ins since no one would answer the phone and she flatly said no as if she was annoyed with me, so I hung up on her. I cannot understand how this organization prides themselves on helping people in need but yet they WONT EVEN PICK UP THE DAMN PHONE! I DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE LOOKING FOR HELP TO GO HERE. THE STAFF IS RUDE AND COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. I WILL LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR HELP. THANKS FOR NOTHING CITY OF REFUSAL.

You cant even get a answer on the phone to help your clients. They are so rude they just hang up the phone on you & keep the mailbox full. I will be reporting them to BBB this morning. As I have been trying to locate office officials for 2 weeks now.

I have been calling for HELP for months and all I hear from Ms glass is call back in 2-3 weeks. Im living in my car although I am employed. I have also been told to go to gateway. I went to gateway and was told that since I am NOT chronically homeless or under a bridge that I dont qualify for help. all I wanted to do was have a place to live while I attempt to get back on my feet. There is no real assistance for people like me that work and miss a paycheck because I was sick. all it takes is missing one paycheck to lose all you have.

Started off doing alot for the neighborhood at first now nothing at all, bought all the surrounding propertys but doing nothing with it. And it would be great if you stop the ladies from hanging at the local bus stop smoking cigarettes every morning, people waiting for the bus cant sit down of get out of the rain. Thanks.

City of refuge is bringing great things for the city of Atlanta. Ive seen the kind of help they are giving to those in need throughout the area for a variety of reasons. This place is transforming lives and the lives of all those who have loved ones who have been in need or assistance. Glad my loved one has a home and refuge here

I lived her for one month and was treated with respect/dignity. They understand your brokenness upon entering into the program and help you emotionally get through the crisis. To God Be The Glory!

This place is like a jail. A friend of mine was going to go there, but they were talking about that you couldnt have any electronic devices for 30 days or you couldnt work for 3 to 4 months. I told my friend not to waste their time for that.

City of refuge is amazing. Outstanding best shelter ive ever been to in my life. The food is good, the bed is comfy, the water is hot, the staff is compassionate. You get a case worker who will put together a plan with you and help you achieve your goals. There is a church here, && FREE daycare here. They provide marta passes to help you out. I dont see how anyone could complain about here. Its the best shelter ive ever experienced very uplifting environment.

I went there in 2016 with a group from Buckhead Church to volunteer. We helped with landscaping and clearing out weeds, etc. behind one of the buildings where there were raised garden beds. Afterwards we got to go on a tour of the property and I was very impressed by everything I saw. They offer a wide variety of services and have several programs set up to help those in need in the area. I can see that they are transforming the area around them in a very positive, and long-lasting way.

Evetybody talking bout city of refuge not helping but yall need to glad that you get a bed. Get up and look work, thats not theres job to hold ur hand and take u to kindergarten for a job. They feed you, give me a bed and clean sheet. Being here change me and make me a better person. I dont care what negative people say but they really help u. Nobody cant help you unless you pushing yourself and u trying. God is good. I find a job and housing might be hard but save your money and move to a next states. Ppl dont have credit to keep up. Thats all that is bad with ga. Kelly

Im currently here now.sad that such a place that has some decent things to offer is ran by staff with no compassion and discourages you to even utilize anything because of their unprofessionalism.ive been being targeted because a staff member or two told me i think im better never even knowing me.refused my donations while the shelter side for women and children are out of tissue.smh 😢
