One day I decided to randomly email Odyssey BJJ to ask about their pricing and classes. Greg was super easy going and welcoming. He invited me to view a class that evening a jump on in whenever I wanted to try out a week for free. I felt challenged, but also in a safe environment that encouraged learning and patience. It was an easy decision to commit to Odyssey because I truly felt that the coaches and team were committed to me as well. More and more women are joining and I have loved that group within our team as well.I have never felt embarrassed to fail, ask questions multiple times, or to practice more because I was not grasping a position at first. It is truly a team environment. Iron sharpens iron.

If you’re looking for a great gym to train in Atlanta Odyssey BJJ is it! Looking for a Sunday open mat while I was in the city I found this gem. OBJJ was the only gym that has an open mat on Sunday. The best part is Sunday Open mat was still going even during the Atlanta IBJJF Open! Renzo Gracie BB own and run classes there. Didn’t even know until I left! Unfortunately they were coaching so I’ll have to come back to pick their brains. Great rolls, atmosphere and most importantly super clean! Thanks for the hospitality! I’ll definitely be back!

The upper belts are patient and do a good job of teaching the novice how to improve their technique, and the classes are laid back and exciting. I found my self in Atlanta for a few days and dropped by Odyssey BJJ. I emailed in advance to check on drop ins and they responded very quickly. Belt Belt Instructor Greg was very inviting and allowed me to drop in without hesitation. The Gym is very nice and clean with adequate mat space and there were plenty of weights for those that like to lift. The environment amongst students was great. There were no egos just a bunch of people eager to learn the sport and open to receiving instruction. The only down side to this gym for me is that it is in georgia. I would definitely train again her in the future if i found myself in Atlanta

Greg, Lenny, and Brandon are a phenomenal core teaching staff - decades of combined experience under some of the best to ever do it. Besides that, the atmosphere that has been cultivated at this gym is excellent - come prepared to work hard and contribute to a positive culture and you cannot get a much better BJJ experience! Theres definitely a strong implied no a-holes rule, which is essential in my book. Go train!

Absolutely phenomenal training!! The culture that Greg and Lenny have created at this gym is second to none. Everyone that trains here comes in with a great attitude and genuinely wants to learn, teach and train. They have a strong growth mindset culture and continuously push to raise each other up, both on and off the mat. Theres a solid variety of students with a wide ranging skillset, which gives almost anyone the ability to have teaching moments, learning moments and students to compete with, which I think is crucial to developing your skills. The gym is very well kept and has a large mat surface. They also, have a decent weight lifting area.I cant say enough great things about the guys that run this gym and the ones that train here. Whether you are new to BJJ or youre looking for somewhere to train, I highly recommend checking out Odyssey. Enjoy the rolls! -Osu

I’ve been training regularly at Odyssey for a little under 2 months now, and it’s honestly one of the best decisions I have ever made. I had always wanted to train in BJJ but as the years went on just never took the warrior’s stance. A few months ago I finally decided to give it the ‘ol college try and researched several programs online as I had certain criteria/standards I was looking for. I chose Odyssey purely from the feel I had after visiting their website. I reached out via email and received a prompt response from Greg, who answered all of my questions thoroughly (there were many) and invited me to come check them out. I haven’t looked back since. Everyone, and I do mean everyone, has been incredibly inspiring! The camaraderie is palatable. Everyone is encouraging, patient, willing to help, and also - tough and there to put in the work.It is refreshing to be around such intense yet controlled energy. There is a real spirit of humility here, which to me, speaks volumes to the appreciation for the art as a whole. The space and mats are great but the coaches and training mates is what matters the most to me. Legit, some of the most all-around talented people I have ever met irl have been from training here. Big ups to the *incredible* crew of coaches - Greg, Lenny, Brandon, Nate and a special shout out to Tiffany and the growing women’s program. Honestly, if you’re in the area and looking to roll, or even looking to just get started, this is THE place to do it. Fr Fr. Youll be hooked ;-)

My daughters and I joined Odyssey about a month ago. Initially, I planned to just sign up my daughters (one in the kids program and one in the adult program). After watching them train, I decided to join too. It has been so much fun.The coaches have done an amazing job cultivating a great inclusive environment. The members are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Not knowing what to expect in a bjj gym but having trained at other martial arts facilities, I was worried about the safety of my oldest daughter training with adults. I cant emphasize this enough, my fears were completely unfounded and I have watched as training partners have gone above and beyond not only to protect the safety of my daughter but take the time to teach and mentor her in her bjj journey. The kids program is also great. The kids are engaged and seem to love their coaches. It is a mix of bjj based games mixed with fundamental techniques. There is a solid mix of genders, ages, and ethnic backgrounds which I love to see. The kids are respectful of one another and the coaches do a great job of building self esteem with positive reinforcement. Finally, the facilities are top notch with spring boards under the mats for comfort and safety. The location is great in a low traffic, easily accessed area of the city and the class times make it possible to class even with a busy school and work schedule. We have loved our experience so far and look forward to learning this craft. Be careful though, Jiu Jitsu has a way of consuming your thoughts. Youll start out planning to attend a couple classes a week and next thing you know youll be trying to rearrange your schedule to squeeze in two-a-days.

Great instructors with lots of knowledge. Friendly training environment and amazing training facilities. John danaher black belt and a Marcelo Garcia brown belt run the classes, can’t get any better than that!
