My kids love this dojo! Master Yu and all of his instructors are very helpful and encouraging. They provide skilled lessons and promote positivity for improvement in not only martial arts, but also in the students personal lives. The staff help build self confidence and integrity, for which I’m immensely grateful. They also provide lots of class options and are very accommodating, for busy schedules.

Yong-In Aurora Martial Arts is a amazing place with many skilled professional instructors also it has a very positive environment and they are very friendly with everyone they also offer 1 on 1 lessons and even have private lessons for people with special needs or even group lesson if they are prepared. This place is amazing it helped me out a bunch with learning self defense and the exercises and the warms up here get you lose and flexible for techniques also when it comes to belt testing the instructors and even masters make sure that every belt is ready before the test comes. I love Taekwando and everyone that teaches it at this location this is one of the most talented and most respectful people and place that i have been to.the workouts and warm ups get u ready and are a good workout in general. And they even get you prepared for tests and other stuff like weapons etc. this place also offers training for kids and adults of any age and even helps train kids who are special ed.This place is amazing it not only teaches people self defense but also teaches them respect and how to treat other people there age and even older. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

I’ve been attending this school for the past two and a half years and received my black belt this past spring! Master Yu and all the instructors are so kind and skilled! I’ve gotten stronger though the workouts and made many friends with the other students. I have been doing Martial Arts at this school since Kindergarten, so about 6 years from today. I started off very nervous and not really self confident. but as I grew older and advanced in the ranks, I felt more stronger and definitely more confident. Not only does The Yong In Aurora teaches Martial Arts very well, but you have fun learning it. I’ve been in this Martial Arts school for about 2 years now and out of all the Martial Arts schools I’ve been to, this has been my favorite. Everyone there is really friendly and you get attached to them really quick. The Yong In Aurora Martial Arts is also a place where you can challenge yourself. The masters there really push you to the limit and they never let you give up. I would highly recommend this school if anyone would like to learn Martial Arts while also having fun and challenging themselves.

My daughter has been going to this place for the past 8 years. This is an excellent and professional place where your kid will learn taekwondo from the best masters and instructors. My teenager son and younger daughter go to Yong-In martial arts regularly now. The best thing about Yong-In is that Master Yu not only teaches Taekwondo and other martial arts for all age groups but also builds a good character in the students by imparting good values and principles. Yong-In Aurora is an inclusive and excellent Dojang that I highly recommend! Based on my experience, this is a great place to learn many martial arts (taekwondo, hapkido, kumdo). Youll get quality teaching and be involved in a great community of other students of all ages - overall its a great environment to learn and enjoy martial arts. There is also great programs for students with disabilities or any special needs, this dojang will accomodate for them.

As a mom I can tell you how Yong-in is the perfect place for every kid. Master Yu and his instructors are highly trained and skilled and know how to work with every child. Even though my son doesnt speak much English, they have been helping him feel comfortable and confident, and is able to train him regardless the language barrier. Overall, it provides a multitude of benefits such as teaching your kid moral values, mental and physical skills and self-control and focuses our kids need to grow and be their best. I have been a student at YIA for 5-6 years and it has been an amazing experience. Everyone is very friendly and encouraging. The masters and instructors do an amazing job helping every student kicks, technique and exercises. Whenever we are struggling, the instructors and masters will make sure to work with us, sometimes even stay a few minutes after class if need be. Master yu makes sure to give us time to ask any question we have for clarification and any questions we ask is always answered. But beyond the martial arts techniques, YIA has became a place where I have learned to challenge my physical and mental strength. Throughout my time I have learned to constantly persevere, respect others, being comfortable with being uncomfortable, and the importance of focus. We are reminded that TaeKwonDoe isn’t only about physical strength but learning the discipline, concentration and restraint that we can take to any task we do. Our masters remind us to change our mindsets about our abilities in order to improve. The mental training has helped me develop many skills that I will take as I leave for college. I have made many friends during my time here and meet some wonderful people. I have studied many forms of martial arts from as many masters and Master Yu is by far the best I have worked with. His degree in physical fitness shines through in every class, including the classes for those with special needs. Each class combines learning the traditional Tae Kwon Do and Hap Ki Do with a great work out. Its exercise with a purpose.

All special needs parents that struggle with trying to involve your kid(s) with a sport or extracurricular this is exactly what your kid needs. Mason my 10 year old has been with Master Yu at Yong-in Aurora for 2 years now. My son has more or less moderate functioning autism. He struggles tremendously with friends and peers and thrives on structure and goals. He is an amazing kid however we felt like he lacked a sense of extracurricular socializing. We live in a bubble those of you Im sure can relate and ever since the day he met Master Yu his eyes had been forever glowing with learning Taekwondo. He has accomplished becoming a red belt as of today and I kid you not Master Yu has a gift to form this bond and trust with my son that makes me as a parent Soooo happy. Mason has idolized Master Yu so much that if I feel I have any concerns at home or at school he is able to relay that to him during his sessions. Lets face it our kids dont always listen to mom and dad but the discipline and structure he is able to grasp from his Master is mesmerizing. I can go on and on but honestly my son has been blessed to have met such a kind, caring, motivating and extraordinary person thats definitely leaving permanent footprints in his life that will go with him into adulthood and really give him a sense of belonging to something he cares for with all his heart. We dont ever want to part with Master Yu as hes been a godsend for us. Its worth it you wont believe me until you try. Trust me Go for it!

As a former member of a different branch that has recently transferred to this taekwondo, I can safely say that this taekwondo is well rounded and certainly life changing for anyone and everyone that joins. It is the definite opposite of those McDojangs you see out there and will bring you some actual quality that you will find valuable for a lifetime.Staff is friendly but stern. The people are dilligent, and the master is well experienced. I have had an amazing time here for the past 3 years and I will continue to do so. Can’t say enough wonderful things, but I’ll try.My daughter (4 years old) started right before the lockdown in March and Master Yu has been so flexible and works so hard to give kids the joy and fun of learning taekwondo even when times are tough. He offers Zoom classes as well as some in person classes. The dojo is super clean and sanitized before and after every class. All instructors are skilled and love their job. Many of the instructors are students of his and my daughter can’t wait to be one of them!Her focus and attention has improved as well as coordination, manners, respect and discipline. And she learned how to count in Korean! Super cool.Any kids, any age, special needs, adults too! Highly recommend Master Yu :)

This is a life-changing experience. Not only do you get to work out but you also get to train your mind to be more focused and be more persistent. Master yu and his masters and instructors are great with kids in the kid classes and help them learn to be respectful while having a blast. The adult and teen classes help the student become more focused on things that matter in life and help them get a more sophisticated workout.

Master Yong is very skilled at martial arts and is I am currently taking private lessons with him to learn Tae Kwon Do. He is very good with special needs kids because he has tons of experience with them and is very understanding. I have no idea why another review says It is bad for ur kids.
