I am so happy that I have my kids in Kumon. The kids have gotten so much better at math and English. Plus their confidence in school is notably improved dramatically.

My youngest started going in April for a free trial and then started officially as a student after that and she loves to go see her teacher and loves to do her homework. She has gotten so comfortable that she says she does not need my help. I highly recommend Kumon to anyone that wants their child to get a boost of confidence.

Kumon is a great place to put your child in! My experience was good but everybodys experience may differ depending on whether the parent is involved in a childs academic life. The curriculum is excellent and will allow your child to better understand the subject at school and then apply it in real life.

My girls have been going to see Pinky and her teachers for several years now. Both have really enjoyed excelling in math and reading and this has resulted in boosting their confidence level at elementary school. They consistently score well on their standardized tests and their teachers have commented on how advanced both their math and reading scores are. As parents, we’ve enjoyed seeing how much they’ve progressed over the years. It’s gotten to the point, where our oldest daughter wants to join the math team, book club, and robotics club at school. Our youngest daughter is thrilled that she can help her classmates read when she was in K and 1st grade. I think Pinky does a wonderful job with the girls and the parents both. Highly recommended!

Pinky really cares about her students. She takes the time to go over every single plan and make sure the child is going at the right pace for them, and she always adjusts the work for the needs of the family. As a Kumon graduate and someone who has worked at multiple locations, I think Pinkys center is one of the best run and organized of all the ones Ive seen.On top of the in person education, the online structure is very impressive too. She really makes sure that every child is getting what they need. Its a pleasure to work here

Ive worked here for the past 2 years, and I have seen many students grow and progress in leaps and bounds as time goes by. As an employee I have found myself growing and developing skills needed to better facilitate the growth of students. This center has been a wonderful place for students to further develop their skills with reading and math, and maintains these values today.

My granddaughter attends this Austin location. Her grades went up quickly, but even more important she has learned self discipline, great self confidence, and the value of focused learning and study. With the effective 6 month gap in learning with Covid from March to August I knew the summer slide would be more intense. We started Kumon in June and its been a great addition to my sons learning. The daily lessons keep things fresh and its such a small time commitment. Just wish I had started when he was younger..

Weve had our kids in Kumon for about 2 months. It was an adjustment for them but Ive seen VAST improvement in their skills. My daughter is 10 and my son is 7. My son is dyslexic and we were worried about writing/math but hes done really wonderful. When we started kumon his writing was illegible and now its beautiful!

We are very happy with our experience at Kumon. Ms. Pinky does an excellent job making sure students are progressing and developing strong math skills. She is very supportive to my son , and always available to assist us by email or phone. We just completed our second year at Kumon and it’s been very beneficial.

Both my elementary aged kids have been attending this Kumon center for about 4 years now. I am so pleased with what they have learned in both reading and math skills. I find that the most important skills that Kumon has taught them is self-discipline, developing good study habits and time management skills. We will continue with Kumon until program completion!

My son recently started Kumon in Math. Ive noticed that, over a short period of time, he has gotten more confident and less dependent on counting on his fingers in order to do simple math problems. We are excited to see how much more he can improve in the upcoming months.

My daughter does reading and math at Kumon and I am so happy with her progress. Ms. Pinky goes above and beyond with her students. We were recently out of town and more than a month and she mailed us our packets and kept us current. She organized her business to Covid regulations immediately and we never missed a beat. Im a 5th grader, and I have participated in kumon for over 6 years. Kumon has helped me more than you can imagine. If it wasnt for Kumon I wouldnt be able to do math,reading and writing half as good as i do now. If you start doing Kumon you probably wont like it,but if you persist, you will see the difference in your academics.

My son has been doing Kumon here since he was about 5 years old, and he is currently 9. He has learned so much from Kumon and is above grade level in both reading and math. It has helped him learn to study and has built his confidence in his work. Ms. Pinky is very caring towards her students and helps in any way she can. She wants the best for her students. With Covid she is doing everything she can to offer in person and online learning. It has been a great experience there.

My daughter has been enrolled in Kumon with Pinky for 6 years. Pinky knows her students so well and that’s what makes this center so great. She knows when to slow down the work for students and when to push new concepts. I’m not going to say my daughter loves the work because she doesn’t; but she does loves the results. Both of my children started the Kumon program since kindergarten. Now theyre 5th and 7th grade, and I am so proud of them because their hard work has set them up at least 2 grades above level (public school). There was one thing Mrs. Pink told us from day one and it truly stuck to my mind -- Kumon is like building a tall high tower, it starts building from the root, then the foundation, and so on...for life. And sure enough, my children are fully capable of self learning, timing and pacing themselves, theyve developed endurance on testing, patience, perseverance, and satisfaction on all their academic results. I highly recommend this program to those parents who are willing to be committed and be present on their childrens learning skills. And, as far as the current pandemic situation, its been a blessing that no matter what the school districts decide, both of my children are continuously learning 363 days a year and there is no falling behind! Kumon has allowed our kids to develop proper study habits to get through the pandemic and online learning fairly easily. The team is professional, responsive and always easy to work with.

For the past 4-5 years weve seen our grankids Aviv and Hadar develop excellent academic skills and were very proud of their hard work, commitment, and advancement thanks to the Kumon program.

This review is long overdue. I just wanted to write and highly recommend Kumon/Far West location. Kumon is not just about making straight As. It is repetition and consistency. It takes the guesswork out of you trying to figure out the best way to help your child if they are falling behind in school. For my daughter it helped her not only with grades, but with test taking, discipline in completing assignments within a certain amount of time and most important her confidence level. Once she started doing well in one subject it carried over into other subjects and extracurricular activities. As she gained confidence she became happier and started wanting to participate in after school clubs. She strove to and was excited when she got good grades on her report cards. She even made a perfect 100 on her 5th grade STARR test ! I myself struggled in school and had my learning issues been caught early and had I had a program like Kumon I would have had a very different school and social experience. We have been in Kumon for 5 years and have done both reading and math, now we are starting pre-algebra going into 7th grade. If you have a child struggling I highly recommend Pinky at Kumon/Far West. Kumon can be life changing for kiddos socially-emotionally as well as academically.

We have two kids in grades 7th and 5th. We are going to kumon for about 6-7 years. I see a tremendous effect of the kids academics. They are both well above grade level in both Math and Reading, it helps their school work as well, as school work and home work are way easier and take less time. We are fortunate to have Ms. Pinky as the main instructor and director. She communicate with us clearly, set the goals, and make the kids achieve the goals through hard work and persistence. She is very professional and personal at the same time. Kumon require commitments from the kid and his parents. We saw results in a few weeks after we started.

It helps my grades go up and it helped me be disciplined.

We are very happy with our experience here! Ms. Pinky is an excellent owner. During the winter holidays, my daughter had to be out of town, and Ms. Pinky offered to mail her worksheets to our relative’s home! She is very supportive and nurturing to our daughter, and ALWAYS available to assist us through email or phone. We are so blessed to have found Ms. Pinky and her hardworking staff at Far West Kumon.

Great math and reading tutoring from Mrs Pinky Merchant and her helpers. Good learning environment and positive attitude. My teenager girl (10th grade) is not a fan of additional lessons but this benefits her a lot and she always come out of Kumon smiling after communication with great people there! My younger boy is doing much better at school and is more confident. Please be sure to do your packets at home!

Kumon really helped to put me at the top of my class in math. My sister and I were both able to help other students in our classes because we could explain the concepts in a way they were not understanding during our group lessons in school.
