Taylor is a brilliant and passion driven individual with a beautiful vision and she offered my family a wonderful blessing; however, it turned out that it wasnt meant to be. I am deeply hurt by this. I have been battling several health issues over the past year and most recently was diagnosed with a rare disease called Addisons back in October and also a Traumatic Brain Injury in February. My wife and I have a 2 year old little boy (soon to be 3 in April!) and the times have gotten really hard for us. My health creates daily challenges but I am determined to over come them. A good friend of ours started a GoFundMe campaign this past January....Taylor was one of the first to see it and offered the most generous offer to give our son free tuition to her Montessori!! I was overcome with emotions! This was going to allow my wife to be able to work more and give our son a great chance to grow and learn while I get healthy. It was confusing knowing when the school was starting. Taylors excitement was clear and her intentions were amazing but communication was all over the place and it was done mainly through text which I admit, I also engaged in but there was a scheduling tool available. Our son was able to attend 1 day of day camp in March. The service was setup so he would even be picked up by someone from the school but they were not fully staffed yet and Taylor picked him up. We supplied the car seat. Then the schedule for the following week was confusing and we needed to wait until the last second to find out what it would be due to Taylor running the business and managing her college classes. Thats a lot on one plate on top of the many other projects she has; however, this blessing was creating a lot of concern around the uncertainty of what was going on. It didnt feel right. This week was really confusing as Taylor was communicating with me through text but my wife was not in the loop and there were more changes due to Taylors car breaking down. At the end of the day the blessing was just not right for us because the school was not ready to open based on our experience and my son is our most precious little person and I no longer felt comfortable with this idea .I really think that Taylor has the potential to do amazing things for children once she has had a chance to slow down and get everything squared away prior to launching it; however, what really concerned me was my last request. We decided that it would be best to not move forward with her offer and I did request that we get a refund on the $75 application fee (which paying wasnt easy and she claimed for awhile that she didnt receive it). I understand that the application fee was non-refundable but we used the service for one day and didnt feel comfortable moving forward. We are struggling financially and I was praying that she would help us with the refund but instead she reminded me of the policy and offered to get her attorney involved if she had too. My heart is broken from this experience and the stress of it really put me at risk. I am praying for Taylor and just wish that she had taken a moment to do the right thing vs doing things right.
