My baby started Waterloo infant swim class and moved up to the toddler class with Ms. Alyssa and he loves her! He is able to play in the water and get used to water on his head and be more at ease and we love the class size. She is such a joy and positivity in the beginning of his life as he learns how to play safely in a pool, we love Waterloo! We also appreciate the safety precautions they have taken during Covid and all the friendly folks at the NW Austin facility

The swim classes have been great for my son.Reaching them on the phone is difficult. The number listed goes to voicemail. Would have been nice to speak with someone rather than long emails and waiting days to get an answer. They should open more locations. 620 one is crowded. Few lanes had 6+ students on each for swim class, half a lane for each class.Overall a good experience.

I tried to know more about adult swim classes and schedule some semi-private sessions but it’s so hard to get in contact with them. The phone number listed doesn’t connect at all. Even though you drive to the branch you won’t be able to get enough info and they never contacted back even after a couple of visits. Email conversations are so annoying as you get replies from multiple people and you don’t really understand who you are speaking to/ from which location you are getting these responses.

Great facility and staff. Very grateful to them to teach both my kids swimming. The staff is very understanding and helpful. Stephanie and Sarah always help with scheduling whenever i need to. Katie is the best coach i can ask for. She is an amazing teacher. Both of my kids love her. Thank you so much to Waterloo for opening doors and making extra effort to to get my kids being excited about swimming again during Covid-19 and making parents comfortable to be able to bring our kids to your facility.

Owner Mike has built and maintains a tier-one facility. He has engineered an excellent swimmer development program and a highly successful competitive team. His lessons director, Stephanie, is swimmer focused and attentive to align each swimmer with the correct coach/instructor. Jocelin and Ryan are two quite knowledgeable and super conscientious Instructors. Masters Coach Amber will correct your technique and point you down the lane... ready go!

My kids have been swimming here for over two years. Sarah W., who is one of the managers here has been fabulous to work with in finding swim times/teacher to accommodate all four of my kids so they can swim at the same times as much as possible. This has been a life saver for us and made continuous swimming possible. The teachers my kids have had have been good, especially coach Alyssa for my little one who is a good swimmer but can be sensitive about teachers. Swim Fit has been a great program for my older kids to stay active year round while the younger kids work through the lesson levels. Overall, we’ve had a great experience here!

Waterloo exceeded my every expectation.  Our girls have been taking swim lessons at Waterloo every summer for several years. Water safety is extremely important to us, so we were thrilled, albeit apprehensive, when Waterloo opened this summer.  I could not be more pleased with the measures taken by Waterloo to keep our family safe.  Before entering everyone has their temperature taken and  is asked to wear a mask.  After entering we were directly escorted to the pool where my LO had her lesson.  We paid for a private lesson, and my daughter and the instructor (who wore a face shield the entire time) were the only ones in the pool.  The instructor was AMAZING!   In fact, my little one enjoyed her so, we signed up for several more.

1.5 years swimming at Waterloo. The Waterloo commitment to swimmers and community is clearly evident in their covid response. Full on protocols in place to protect swimmers and families.Swim classes are small and targeted to specific swimmer goals. It is a big facility so it can be challenging to know what is going on... but the team updates the online e portal with detail info on a swimmers progressDownsides are ... the parking lot. It can be hectic.

We have been swimming at Waterloo for 1.5 years. We chose Waterloo after years at other pools and are at Waterloo to stay. Lower cost, lower class size and more individual instruction/feedback on strokes we are very happy with our switch. We swim for fitness and Swim Fit 2 (2 days per week) is the perfect place for our 11 year old daughter. Took her a few weeks to get used to the more rigorous sessions (no more sitting at the side of the pool due to a too large class size) but she is happy with the switch as well.If you are looking for a very reasonably priced, small class size with individualized instruction on strokes look no further. The only drawback - there are no make ups.

My time at Waterloo has been absolutely incredible. Ive experienced caring coaches, exciting times at meets, and made plenty of friends. This .swim team has helped shape me as a person and I am forever thankful for that. I really like the fact that the coaches want to make sure that their swimmers are progressing and moving into higher level groups in the process. Regarding the facility, everything is well-kept and clean. Additionally, I heard that a new dryland facility is going to be built, which will allow swimmers to diversify their training. Overall, I love the environment that is being created at Waterloo and wish them the best of luck.

We started our daughter in the late summer, and couldn’t be happier. My daughter’s teachers are wonderful. All have been very knowledgeable and professional, and we have seen her swimming skills advance tremendously. Very impressed with all she’s learning. You can tell all of the coaches care about the kiddos.

I would give this place ZERO if I could!WORST experience ever!Yesterday we went to Waterloo Swimming for an evaluation of my two kids (4 and 7 years old). The instructor got in the water with both of them at the same time. She left my younger one in the water next to the pool side and started swimming with my other. In a second my little one somehow started drowning but neither the instructor nor the deck manager noticed it. My husband and I started banging on the window like crazy, and finally they realized what was going on.The deck manager came to talk to me, but instead of apologizing, she said that accidents like this can happen, and other inappropriate things.Accidents can happen to anyone, but we were there for an evaluation, so they didnt know what my kids swimming level was, and they shouldnt have left my kid by himself. We were lucky just because my husband and I were paying attention, but they, the professionals, werent!AVOID THIS PLACE!EDIT: I sent an email to the Operations Manager, and she contacted me promptly. She was nice.

I have been swimming competitively for 6 years, 3 of which have been with Waterloo. It has been a fantastic experience. The coaching staff is very well educated and very helpful. I have learned so much from Coach Mike. The facility is very well kept and clean, with two gender locker rooms and separate family changing rooms. The air quality is very good for an indoor pool and the water is clean and temperature controlled year round. I love Waterloo and will continue swimming here for years to come.

Waterloo Swimming was recommended to us for our young daughter nearly 2 years ago. She had taken part in the Lessons program offered by our neighborhood summer league swim team, and we wanted to give her the chance to keep swimming over the winter because she simply loved the pool. Our experience has been fantastic as she has progressed through Waterloos lessons program. The coaches have been great in not only teaching her swimming strokes, but in helping a young, nervous, and headstrong girl get past some of the milestones in their program without causing her to turn away in frustration. The staff has also been very accessible and helpful in working through our schedules, in person, over the phone, and via email. We are happy we found such a great place for our girl to explore her love for the pool.

My two year old son has been taking lessons at our community (Siena) through Waterloo for about a month. I have been impressed with how well the instructors (Sydney and Cosy) interact with him and the other children they teach. I love how theyre flexible with the ever changing moods and wants of a two year old child as well as willingness to encourage them to push their limits, even if the child is hesitant. They are very open with communication and consistently offer feedback and suggestions, and they are open to suggestions from me as the parent to help my child succeed and progress.

Update on this - 11-28-17Their management contact us and addressed the issues we were concerned about and now I see that my daughter is improving little by little.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I am really disappointed with their system,Our daughter was in Emler since she was two and when got her here she knew how to do normal stroke and back stroke , these guys did “evaluation” and now she is few steps back, and when you talk to them every time they give a different explanation, one time they tell you she is perfect and she will go to the next level , next they say she has to stay in the same level! I guess just to make more money!Really sorry that they could do allot better with better with all these equipment they have!Improve your system and focus more on getting more skilled staff!

This is the start of our 2nd full season with Waterloo. We had only ever known summer league swimming, and when my son said that he wanted to swim even more we started to look at the various competitive swim teams.I actually found out about them as they were one of our sponsors for our summer swim team, and we decided to check out one of their summer stroke workshops. We visited and found that it was a very nice swim facility, which was enclosed and indoors, and they had great coaches. The other most important thing for us was that they had available practice times in the evening since my wife & I both worked. My son started in what was Pre-Bronze, which is now called Bronze 1. Coach Liz was phenomenal! She was very patient and helped all the young swimmers along whether it was making sure they were ready for their events, or coaching them up before and after the swims. My son also had the pleasure of being coached by Coach Brooke in Silver 1. She is also another phenomenal coach. She is very detail oriented, organized, and extremely passionate about swimming. She sits down with all her swimmers and sets goals, and is always providing feedback during practice to all the kids. I was impressed with her meet plans, and her preparation for the championships meets. She built individualized practice and meet plans which she printed out and laminated for all the kids in attendance. My son is now starting Long Course this season in Silver 2, with Coach Annie, she is also very detail oriented and is always providing great feedback to all the kids in practice. She keeps practice fun and you can tell all the kids love her. I look forward to his continued growth. So to sum it up...weve really enjoyed being a part of the Waterloo swim family. They have top notch coaches that keep it fun and know how to develop the kids, and my son has seen tremendous growth in his short time here going from summer league swimming to swimming in B Champs, Jr. STAGS, STAGS, and now TAGS. Weve also had a great experience with the swim lessons too as my middle child and now 3 year old are also taking swim lessons. We live all the way on the far east side of Round Rock by 130, but would highly recommend Waterloo to anybody looking for a great competitive swim program or learn to swim program!

We signed my daughter up for lessons with Waterloo and she quickly went from floundering to being able to join the swim team! It was successful, convenient, and most of all fun for her!The team at waterloo is professional and supportive in helping you reach your goals. Wether you want to learn to swim, learn to swim better, stay fit, or even compete in swimming, they have a program and a coach that will meet and/or exceed your expectations. The programs serve kids and adults so I joined the adult Masters program and have had a fantastic experience. Morning, noon and evening workout times allow me to juggle my work/ life schedule and still get in a workout. I enjoy the time spent with my teammates in the pool and cant recommend Coach Brooke enough to others that want to check out swimming as a way to add swim fitness to their routine.

Sept 2019:Updating my review finishing more than a year:Horrible deck coaches, never listens to parents. Kids are never communicated about what they need to improve on. The idea of this facility is to keep making money by keeping silent instead of telling kids what to improve on. If you complain, they suggest you to take private lessons for learning what needs to be improved.Suggestion from our learning: STAY AWAY from this swim school.Aug 2018:I was a Nitro fan but after visiting this facility; this is much better. Staff is equivalent of Nitro. Programs are nice hence I switched. All I miss is the traffic to Nitro.....10 mins drive now instead of 35mins each way!!
