From a glance coastal in Baton Rouge is where i thought i wanted to be. It was super convenient for me. I live in Gonzales…until i had my sit down appointment with Kristen today. While we were reviewing my payment options she stereotyped me and said i wouldn’t qualify for the grant because she “See i drive a BMW”… i drive a 2021 Kia stinger lol thanks for the compliment. Before she pulled my driving record she automatically assumed i wouldn’t be approved based off of 2 speeding tickets within the past FIVE years.. I’m a disabled vet. Which means my CDL will be covered regardless of the tedious payment options that are available.. just like the other gentlemen said previously, if i don’t like how the secretary or receptionist is treating me, what makes you think I’m going to trust your instructors ? It was just an uncomfortable experience but my advice to anyone going forward is that a lot of people aren’t happy with their lives and they’ll project it onto you.. keep going. Find a school with a respectful staff that you can trust to lead you in the right ways. I will not be attending coastal in Baton Rouge. Be blessed.

I had a very good experience with this school the staff was very excellent I recommend this school they instructors are very professional I wasn’t treated like a student but like I was family they motivate me and if I wasn’t sure or if I needed improvement they told me what area I needed work on I graduated may 20 2021 I now work for Werner thank you coastal I will never for get any of you

I am a currently a student and I am extremely pleased with the instructors and faculty I was able to obtain my class A CDL permit within the first 4 days of school they are very good at their job

Went to this place yesterday to try to get info about the program but they literally refused to help me because I needed an appointment. I mean, I get covid and all that but I only needed to know how long the program was and how much.. thats it! They didnt even seem interested in me trying to choose their school. Like really? I wouldve been less disappointed if at least they would have told me like.. oh this and that and I could give you more info if you make an appointment and come to talk to us more indeed BUT NOOOO. Not even that. The place was empty anyways like is not like they were busy. So yeah, that was just trying to get info, I cant imagine how they work once you get in. Really bad communication. DONT RECCOMEND.

We went to the school to get some basic info about the program that IM GONNA PAY. They didn’t even seem to care, told me I need an appointment and couldn’t even tell me how long the program was. She was so rude, well... all of them there were rude. Specially the lady at the front counter, she literally interrupted me to talk on the phone. I don’t recommend this school at all. Thanks to this experience we’re going to a different school. Cause... if you dont seem interested from the beginning that im trying to go to your school, why would I think you’re gonna be interested while im studying? FOH!

I would have to disagree with all the bad reviews..call this place up for yourself cause I did exactly that today and the experience was very good..very helpful agent that answered so im assuming that nasty one got fired 😄..but definitely check it out for yourself

The Admissions director Kirsten or however you spell her name is very rude and insulting. Very disrespectful and should not be in admissions if she has that type of attitude.

WARNING....needs better instructors with a positive attitude, not cocky or arrogant....Lacks professionalism.....this is not a school its a war zone......

Not good experience there. Hammond campus is way better. Trucks always broke down and no room for truck maneuvers in the back. Instructors falling asleep in the truck when theyre supposed to be teaching us. We watched more teaching videos than anything else. Instructor from Hammond came over and chewed everyone out for their lack of motivation. Students werent much better in my class. Most will get class A and never get a trucking job due to their criminal record.

Went over there to get CDL A .Price is outrageous Passed the state test by myself and got my permit, the next week the the lady called me about still coming and I told here Ive gotten my premit already. She said that I WOULD NOT GET HIRED ANYWHERE. Three days later I got hired by a company with my permit and driving a tractor trailer. Go to National Driving Academy for school thats where Im taking my road test.

This school is not up to par on their curriculum. Instructor Keith is awesome, has patience, and is very professional he will go over and beyond for anyone. Instructor Levell stays on his cellular device all the time, rather in the truck or sitting outside on the backing pad. He has no patience and will let you do the wrong thing numerous times until he decides to not be so lazy and get up and actually teach you. The Administrator, Sheila is very rude. She has a major communication deficit and is not willing to work with any student in anyway. She lets Instructor Levell do what ever he would like whenever he would like, she lets him make all of the decisions. You will know which one is Sheila, she is bald headed. Once you’re enrolled into school here she will not answer your questions, will not be flexible on anything with you. Please check out Diesel Driving Academy before you go to this school. All of th equipment is very raggedy and preventive maintenance is never performed on the trucks, so be ware that you will lose a lot of drive time due to the trucks not being maintenanced. Please stay away from this school!! They do not teach you everything you need to know. Everyone except keith is very lousy. Beware of this school!! It is a rip off, and also, the air condition does not work in any of their vehicles so you will be very very hot. Stay far far far away from Coastal Driving Acadeny!!

If I could rate it -10 stars I would. If anyone has a class action suit against this company, please contact me.

I called to look into enrolling and the lady on the phone had an atrociously insulting attitude with me .she scared me away Im going to apply at a different driving school thanks to her negative insultingly disrespectful attitude.
