This is definitely the place to learn good, quality Martial Arts. Arlo makes sure that everything he teaches has been learned from his own experience or the experience of one of his direct instructors. With the exception of some belt testing requirements, he makes sure that he considers the practicality of what hes teaching. He teaches true self-defense, not just based in tradition. When Im learning at the school, I know that I can actually use what Im learning there in an altercation.Arlo keeps a great space with a wonderfully open environment. Even as a beginner, I never felt left out or lost; similarly, after being a student for 3+ years, I have never been bored or felt like he was teaching to the lowest level in the class. He loves teaching, and it shows.He not only teaches the physical side of self-defense, but also legality and prevention - things I think many people dont necessarily think about.I doubt I would ever want to train under anyone else. Arlo, along with all of the current Satori members, make Satori a welcoming place for everyone to come and train.
